Superman in Marvel – Chapter 24: The Battle of Monsters

Live on Air: The World Watches in Terror

"This is Tracy Atwood with Channel 5 News, reporting live from Harlem, where chaos has erupted!"

The news helicopter hovered high above the destruction, its camera zooming in on the streets below.

Fires raged.

Buildings lay in ruins.

Civilians ran for their lives.

And at the center of it all—a monster stood tall.

"Ladies and gentlemen… we are witnessing something catastrophic!"

The camera panned to a hulking figure, standing amidst the wreckage.

Abomination.

The world watched in horror as the creature lifted a car over his head—and hurled it through a building.

A split-screen showed news anchors across the country reacting in shock.

"What is that thing?!"

"Where is the military?!"

"Who can stop this?!"

Then—a red and gold blur streaked across the sky.

Iron Man's Struggle

Tony Stark locked onto the target, repulsors glowing hot.

"Alright, ugly—let's dance."

He unleashed a full-powered blast straight at Abomination's chest.

BOOM!

The impact sent shockwaves through the streets.

Smoke billowed from the monster's body.

The news helicopter zoomed in.

"Iron Man has engaged the creature—can he stop it?"

For a moment, the world held its breath.

Then—the smoke cleared.

Abomination grinned.

"Oh, crap."

Abomination moved—faster than he should have been able to.

Tony barely had time to react before—

BOOM!

A car slammed into him, sending him crashing through a grocery store.

The helicopter followed, filming the destruction.

"Iron Man is down! Repeat—Iron Man is down!"

Tony groaned, pulling himself from the wreckage. His HUD flickered, red warning lights flashing.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., how's the suit?"

"Structural integrity at 54%. Multiple fractures detected. Recommend retreat."

Tony wiped blood from his lip.

"Yeah? Well, I recommend shutting up."

He rocketed forward, weaving between crumbling buildings.

Then—he got creative.

Iron Man's Counterattack

"Alright, let's see how you like this."

Tony aimed his wrist-mounted mini-missiles—

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Explosions erupted around Abomination, engulfing him in fire and smoke.

Tony didn't stop.

He fired repulsors mid-flight, zigzagging through the streets, blasting every weak point he could find.

The monster stumbled, roaring in frustration.

"That's right, big guy," Tony muttered. "You don't like fire, huh?"

But then—

A massive hand burst from the flames.

Before Tony could dodge—

CRUNCH!

Abomination caught him.

The world gasped as the camera zoomed in—watching live as Abomination crushed Iron Man's armor.

Tony screamed as metal buckled around his ribs.

"Iron Man is in trouble!"

The world watched as Abomination squeezed tighter, crushing the suit like a soda can.

Tony's vision blurred. Alarms screamed.

"Sir, your ribs are at risk of—"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it!"

He activated a last-second energy pulse, blasting Abomination's face.

The grip loosened—just enough for Tony to break free.

He stumbled back, breathing heavily.

"Okay. I'm out of ideas."

Then—

The sky darkened.

A sonic boom echoed through Harlem.

And the camera tilted upward—

Superman's Arrival

"Wait—what's that?!"

A red and blue blur streaked down from the clouds—

And slammed into Abomination at Mach 2.

BOOM!

The impact sent the monster flying through two buildings.

Superman stood tall, eyes glowing with fury.

"OH MY GOD—IT'S HIM!"

The helicopter zoomed in—filming every second.

The World Watches Superman Fight

The fight was broadcast across the globe.

Every major news station cut to live coverage.

Millions of people stared at their screens as Superman charged into battle.

Even in war rooms and government bunkers, military officials watched in stunned silence.

"Is this the most powerful being on Earth?"

Round One: Superman vs. Abomination

The creature charged.

Superman met him head-on.

Their fists collided—and the shockwave shattered Harlem.

The camera shook violently—even from the helicopter.

Superman hit first—rapid strikes like lightning.

A punch to the ribs. A knee to the face. A backhand so fast it sounded like a whip crack.

Abomination stumbled.

Superman grabbed him and hurled him through a skyscraper.

For a moment—the world thought it was over.

Then—the rubble exploded.

And Abomination walked out, stronger.

Superman Starts Bleeding

Superman's eyes narrowed. Something was wrong.

Tony scanned him from afar.

"Uh, Boy Scout? We have a problem."

Superman turned. "What?"

Tony's voice was grim. "He's adapting. Fast."

Superman barely had time to react before—

CRACK.

A bone-covered fist slammed into his ribs.

Superman flew backward, crashing into the pavement.

For the first time in history—

Superman bled.

"HOLY SH—"

The broadcast cut out for a second as the news anchor lost it.

"Superman is injured!"

Superman wiped blood from his lip.

His mind raced.

"I haven't absorbed enough sunlight… I'm weaker than I should be."

But he wasn't done.

Superman planted his feet—and unleashed hell.

A full-powered heat vision blast slammed into Abomination's chest.

Before the monster could recover—Superman grabbed him.

The Final Battle: A Flight to the Sun

The camera tilted upward as Superman took off.

"Wait—he's taking him into space?!"

Higher.

Faster.

Abomination clawed at him, roaring—

But Superman didn't stop.

Because he needed the sun.

"Where are they going?!"

The last thing the world saw—

Was Superman flying toward the sun with the monster in his grip.

Then—static.
