/Moments before Aur. Capella's portal opened up/
Charging towards the young woman with obvious goal, he extended his sword away from him, the dark sword became even darker as he swung the sword that was away from him towards the woman when he was close enough, it gained enough force to cut down the woman in one go and it would have played out exactly like that if it not have been for the intervention by the young lad who obviously wouldn't keep quiet when it all was being executed in front of his very own eyes.
It was a gust of bravery that came by just like the wind, it was different, it was like his body acted before his mind and the next scene that flashed before his eyes was him blocking the heavy blow from Arcturus with a broken sword that is. No, when he looked closer tge sword wasn't broken, the missing part of the sword was filled in by a raging flame that seemed strangely familiar, very much like the flame from yesterday night but not exactly that.
Both sides applied as much strength as they could to push each other away but their strength rendered even, their gaze Locke at each others while no side was showing signs of being overpowered by each other's strength as their swords, one made of raging flame and other of dark shadow didn't bother liberating.
This freak! How is it that he is matching my strength!? He's nothing more than a mere mortal from one of the lesser replicas of celestia! And that look, that unfazed look on his face is what ticks me the most!! Does he not realize that he is going against one of the stars of the constellation of Erectivialia? Damned bastard!! I will blow you away! —His expression tightened—
Thinking to himself, he tried to blow zailos away by adding more strength into which had now, turned into contest of strength for both on them as their swords didn't flinch for even a second while going against each other but it was the same, the more strength he applied, zailos reciprocated with the equal amount of strength to match his. It seemed like a never ending sequence but at the end of the day, both of them were mere mortals with limitations attached on to them.
A sequence that seemed neverending but actually lasted only for a few seconds, the strength they excreted in just those few seconds could match the strength of a whole nation in the land of eryndral. Unfortunately, zailos was the one who showed signs of fatigue as his grip on the hilt of his sword lost it's tightness only by a fractional amount, it was enough for Arcturus to turn the tides towards him.
A swift slash could be heard, a slash that was directed towards the young guy and unfortunately it did meet his skin as the blade left a deep cut in his right hand, specifically in the dorsal side of his hand. The sign of mortality in all races, blood flowed out from the deep cut that would probably leave a big scar for a long time. His hand that received the cut let go of the blade by itself even though the feeling of pain was the last thing going on in his mind at the moment.
Ahh shit! From the moment i- or did i even? Because my body moved on it's own I can't really credit myself for jumping in to save her but from that exact moment on, i can barely make a sense out of what has happened since then..... this fuzzy and cloudy feeling, it's like i am floating high in the skies without a care of the world but this fuzzy feeling has only kept growing ever since it started, now, I can't even tell if i am conscious or not. Ah! What the- this hot feeling in my hand, my right specifically, did i accidentally use my flame magic? I can't really tell but if i am, i must stop so right this instant because i made a promise to myself! A promise that i swore to hold! —His eyes shut close that very moment —
The last thing he saw before his eyes shut, the young woman who was saying something but he couldn't figure her words out and eventually his body embraced the cold land that he was once standing on.
Mr. Helper!! No!
She shouted towards him before he collapsed, even though she didn't use his name because she didn't know his name, it was more than obvious that her calling was for the young guy.
Finally at last! You're where you're supposed to be!! Filthy mortal! Just because you matched my strength for a few seconds doesn't make you what i am, not even for those few seconds but i must respect your strength, you've outdone yourself and impressed me! Now, let me reward you for your "hard work".
He said while his blade drew closer to zailos's neck, he was preparing for the final blow on zailos who was laying unconscious.
Before she left her celestial land, her birthplace and the people behind because of the Erectivialia, she had a deep sense of respect for the Erectivialia and the constellation of Erectivialia but that changed when she saw the real face of the corrupt Erectivialia and his closest people or the constellation of Erectivialia but she never expected them to be corrupted, corrupted enough to endanger the entire world for their personal greed and now, going after a person who had obviously lost and was laying unconscious on the ground.
It was the point when she made up her mind, before this moment, she had the slightest bit of hope that she could make them understand their wrongdoings and hopefully lead them towards the brighter side but it was apparent to her that something like that was not an option anymore because what she was witnessing wasn't simple people who were heading towards the wrong direction but they were a hoard of animals who looked like human and acted like one too to fulfill their greedy needs and they would do anything, literally anything to make it happen.
Lightborn arc: shine thy world
She mumbled a few words quietly as she charged towards the young fella who was on the ground and Arcturus who was just seconds away from dealing the finishing blow. Her body shined, it wasn't slow but instantaneous. Caught off guard by glow that her body emitted which was almost as bright as the sun, it left Arcturus temporarily blinded or at least that's what she had hoped because the moment she tried to hold on to the young guy in hope of fleeing with him because she knew she was no match for him, unfortunately for her, their aethergazing magic were the complete opposite of one another as one was light and other was shadow.
He grabbed her hair tightly, tight enough for her to not even be able to move her head in any direction and it obviously brought immense pain.
Trying to run away once again? Don't you get tired of it, or at the very least try to be different from before because this little "trick" of yours is exactly the same from before when you escaped Celestia with the remaining powers of the eternal flame. Unlike you, I learn from my mistakes and also make up for it, have a look if you may.
He didn't loosen the grip he had on her hair but forcefully turned her head towards him revealing his face that was well, a bit more "different" from before. A dark mask made from shadow, covering his entire face only exposing the mouth area could be seen when her eyes directed towards his face.
Well, what was the name again? Yeah! The Lightborn chronicles, that's one heck of an aethergazing magic to have! I mean just think how many possibilities one can have if they can manipulate light itself at their will but unfortunately for you my "child", you, who has only lived for 122 years or so cannot hope to surpass my aethergazing magic that i have been honing to perfection ever since i took my first breath in this world, 567 years ago that is.
His grip that was locked in on her hair so much so that a few pieces of her hair were falling off of her scalp followed by a few streams of blood. He turned his her face towards him in hopes of seeing a satisfying look on her face and her tear filled face hit just the spot for him.
Wha- crying!? Crying for what!? Your making me look like the bad guy here —He said while roaming her head around in anger while his grip on her hair was tighter than ever— don't act like you don't realize you bitch! You! —He gave emphasis to this specific word — are the sole reason why all this happened, had it not been for your "world saving" syndrome, our highness's plan would have played out perfectly and no one would have been harmed
If only you had knew how to keep quiet. Look at this poor soul —while pointing at zailos — he will have to die because of your foolishness and deep down oh, I'm sure you are well aware of it.
I....doubt that.
A familiar voice spoke, the voice was familiar but it definitely was different or a lot different from before. Following the source of the voice, both of the turned towards where the voice was produced from and it was him, the young guy who was supposed to be laying on the floor unconscious was very much conscious or was he?
The cut from earlier still shed blood, drops of blood from his hand united with the ground that was creating small spots raging with flame similar to that of his sword from before but much more violent. Everywhere his blood spilled, a new flame emerged from it as if he was not shedding blood but fire itself but the thing that was most surprisingly of all was the fact that he had completely shut his eyes as if he was still unconscious while he was standing and talking as if he was awake which was a weird sight that was the first time even for a guy who had apparently lived for 567 years.
Damaging the sole pride of a woman, her long and beautiful hair? I'm sure you've done such devious deed with in mind that the price of such deed would be equally as bad?
He collects his sword in his hand that was on the ground, just like before, he infused the sword with his flame and made it a complete sword for the second time but this time, the flame was a bit darker than before.
You're standing? —In a shocked but somewhat satisfied tone— the heavens have sent me another chance to properly finish you off when you are still conscious- or are you even conscious? You've closed your eyes as if you're still in middle of your nap time-
His arm, specifically the one that was once gripping the young woman's hair hard falls off so naturally that for a few seconds he didn't even realize that his arm was missing. It was only when he smelled the scent of blood different from zailos's blood and it was, to his horror his own blood dripping down from whatever was left where is arm was supposed to be and it was his own blood. It had already happened but it only played in his mind a few seconds later what had happened, the young guy charged towards Arcturus with his sword or the tip of his sword grazing the group as he blipped his way in a strange pattern that could be seen as the letter "Z" when the trail of flame left by his sword grazing the ground had finally ignited in front of Arcturus's very own eyes. Right after that came the pain of being cut by raging sword possibly so hot that the ground itself which had no grass caught fire, it was painful enough for him to pass out just from one strike.
Unfortunately, the situations were very much similar to that of zailos from just a while ago as zailos himself went on to deal the finishing blow to the unconscious Boö. Arcturus and he actually would have landed the strike had it not been for the young woman who had used her aethergazing magic to create a cage made out of light in which she trapped him because she didn't want him to drop so low as the corrupt Erectivialia and his constellation.
At the exact moment opened the portal from celestia with Aur. Capella in it and upon seeing his ally in such condition, he immediately rescued him.
