"Ha… ha… ha…" Danzō began to laugh, without any apparent reason, while Naruto looked at him puzzled.
Why was he laughing after losing an eye? Naruto couldn't understand it.
Had Danzō finally gone mad? Had age started to affect him negatively?
While Naruto was confused, suddenly, a sharp branch pierced through his abdomen.
Naruto spat out a mouthful of blood that splattered across Danzō's face.
But then, the Danzō in front of him vanished in a cloud of smoke.
In his place appeared a tall ninja, with pale blue, almost white hair, and dark green eyes.
He wore an old tactical vest, a model used during the Second Ninja World War. On his forehead shone the classic Konoha ninja headband.
Then, Naruto heard footsteps behind him.
He frowned upon noticing the walker was using a cane.
When the man passed by him, Naruto gritted his teeth; blood was filling his mouth.
"You did well, Dan Katō. You were always one of my most loyal men…" said Danzō as he placed a hand on Dan's shoulder.
Dan had really lost an eye to impersonate Danzō.
"So there really was a traitor in the chat group…" Naruto murmured with a faint smile.
The wound was serious, but as soon as he freed himself, his body would heal within seconds.
At no moment did he feel his life was truly in danger.
"I'm sorry, Naruto. But my loyalty has always been to Lord Danzō."
Dan Katō tore off the sleeve of his shirt and used it as an improvised bandage to stop the bleeding from his right eye.
"And Tsunade…? When I revived you, you said you would go find her immediately…"
Naruto couldn't hide his surprise. Discovering that Dan was actually one of Danzō's men hit him like a punch to the stomach.
He clearly remembered when he brought him back to life. Dan had told him he would leave immediately to look for Tsunade.
At the time, it hadn't seemed strange. After all, as far as he knew, Dan had been a good man: a dreamer, an idealist, someone who spoke of peace and wanted to become Hokage.
And, above all, someone who deeply loved Tsunade.
But now… now all of that seemed like a carefully built lie.

Had the love between Tsunade and Dan never existed? Had it all been part of a manipulation?
Naruto couldn't believe it, even when the truth was right in front of his nose.

While Dan spoke, Danzō remained to the side, watching him with indifference.
Naruto listened to Dan silently, with an expression of disbelief on his face.

Almost as if reading his thoughts, Dan stepped forward to correct him:
"I'm his nephew. My father was his younger brother."
Naruto looked at both of them and nodded slowly. He could believe he was his nephew, but not his son. After all, they didn't resemble each other at all.
"And Tsunade…?" Naruto changed the subject and asked with a frown.
Dan twisted his mouth into a scornful smile.
"Why would I go back to the arms of a drunken old woman like her?"
Naruto's gaze turned cold.
"By saying that… you have sealed your fate. You are nothing more than a dead man who still breathes."
Dan didn't know it, but Hashirama, Tobirama, and Mito were still connected to the chat group, watching and listening to everything.
They had decided to remain in the Pure World for a little longer.
Even if Naruto didn't kill him, as soon as they returned to life, Dan's fate would be sealed.
Everything they thought they knew about Dan crumbled before their eyes. The love for Tsunade? His desire for peace? His dream of becoming Hokage? Lies…? Had it all been an act?
In the chat group, Hashirama, Tobirama, and Mito kept a disturbing silence.
They said nothing. Not a word.
And that was precisely what put Naruto on alert.

Naruto swallowed hard. He would have preferred if they had exploded, cursed Dan, demanded his head immediately.

They said nothing.

Dan swallowed and shook his head slowly, as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
For a moment, Dan thought Danzō was joking with him. But then he remembered that Danzō wasn't that kind of person.
"Do I still have to do it…? You can't be serious! I hate that woman! I hate the Senju Clan! I hate her and everything she represents!"
Danzō's look was enough to silence him immediately.
Dan nodded reluctantly, clenching his fists tightly.
Naruto kept watching, saying nothing. Confused. Surprised. But above all, furious.
Naruto was not going to allow Dan to approach Tsunade again. Not after hearing all this.
"I should never have brought you back with the help of the chat group…" Naruto murmured, slightly shaking his head, almost disappointed in himself.
Dan frowned. Danzō, intrigued, turned toward him.
"With the help of what…?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.
Naruto looked at him, perplexed.
"I've tried to explain it many times, in different words… but no matter how I say it, he can't understand it," Dan said, turning to his uncle.
"Lord Danzō, Naruto revived me with the help of the ██████████."
Danzō frowned, not understanding a single word from his mouth.
"Forget it. Stop trying. Every time you say it… it gives me a headache."
He brought a hand to his head, massaging it slowly.
Naruto watched them silently, more confused than ever.
Discovering Dan was a traitor had been his biggest surprise in a long time. Perhaps since the very appearance of the Chat Group System.
And knowing he was Danzō's nephew, raised and sent to conquer the heart of the Senju Clan princess… more than a surprise, it was a stab in the stomach.
Ironic when he had really been stabbed in the stomach.
Naruto had no doubts anymore.
He would have to kill Danzō, as he had already planned to do.
But also… Dan Katō himself.
