Chapter 33:His Bride, His Muse
Zaiyila's eyes widened. She sniffled and wiped her tears away. "You're not holding a grudge in your heart, are you?" she asked in a choked voice.
Everett frowned. "I dare not," he replied.
Zaiyila smiled beautifully. "I know you love me." She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply.
"My Queen, let me see the dress you bought," Everett commented.
Zaiyila immediately picked up her package, untied it, and brought out the dress. "Here. How is it? Beautiful?" she asked eagerly.
Everett's eyes widened in surprise. "Very beautiful," he responded, flashing her a sweet smile. "She got the dress... how will she react if she finds out they didn't collect a dime?" he thought, almost rubbing his forehead. "But they really dare make her worry!" His eyes flashed with murderous intent.
"Let me try it on for you to see," Zaiyila offered, beginning to undress, but Everett stopped her.
