5 hours went by. After a few proscratination here and there, I finished 3 book. There is 4 book. One for each year of school.
While reading these books, I try to apply the knowledge and use magic that are intoduced in the books. To no surprise, I was able to use them with a few tries.
This body is known to be a genius. So his affinity with magic is no joke.
Then I started reading the last book. 'Elemental of Magic:Derivation'.
Book 2 and 3 were also titled 'Elemental of Magic' but related to the main elements including Fire, Water, Wind, Light and Earth.
It took me about 1 hour to finish it. I'll simplify what I've read.
The final book has the the 'Derivation' as I told. Naturally, it is knowledge regarding derivations of magic from the main elemental magic.
For example, Water derived to Ice. Wind derived to Mist.
For every main element magic, the book only taught one derivatives. Well suited for syllabus of an elementary Academic.
However the element Light, actually only has one derivative introduced even until the high academic. Dark.
But the spells regarding each magic is indeed vast. Fire magic could be translated to Fireball and Fire Arrow for example.
All of this information is also well within my expectations. The only thing I was studying was actually the applications.
To use magic, you have to understand the fundamentals. Mana, stored within our body are coordinated with our mind. The mind is responsible to interpret the mana into magic.
Thus, for the mind to be able to interpret the mana, we have to understand the formulations of magic spells.
That's why in novels or fantasy media, they have chants or something like that. In order to undestand the formulation of magic.
However this world application of magic is different to some of them. While chants could still be exclaimed outloud. You can use magic spells that you have the formulas understood.
It is somewhat similar to science and mathematics. The nature of magic is heavily related.
Fire magic are applied depending on your understanding of the exothermic reaction then translating it to mana. The projectile you apply depends on your understanding of motion of objects in this case, Fire.
Anyhow, that's the fundamental knowledge of magic that I've learned so far.
I've been able to apply all the magic spell I learned. I'm satisfied.
Alright, I'm tired. Sleep is needed.

In my first ever dream in this world, what I experienced is the face of Eugene. He looked sorrowful. We were standing in this pitch-black space with a few meters of distance between us.
What came to my mind that time was,
'Why do he look so sad? Did he know that his soul is replaced in his body?'
Such questions arose. Naturally, replacing someone in his body and leaving them unknown will leave you even a little bit of guilt. Except a few minority with neurological specialities of course.
But that isn't me. In a tiny corner of my heart, thoughts like
'What happens to his memory of his life when his soul existed in the novel?'
'It's like dying for no reason just to have someone use your body for their own gains.'
arose.
Even until now, such guilt still exist. That's why an agreement with the angel was made.
My time here is nearing its end. When it comes.
I hope you'll be enjoying your time left. Forgive me,
Eugene.
—————
I woke up. I had a dream. I saw Eugene in a black space. He looked sorrowful.
I woke up. After showering, I set a schedule for my time here. Training, studies and exploring are included.
Regarding training, I am to be taught by instructors of the house. Yesterday was luckily a weekend so there was no training.
Today however, I have to start training under the instructors. I have no clue on what training regimens I have to follow. But I'll try my best to keep up.
The time is 8:34. I went for a breakfast. Then at 9:30 I was called by a butler.
"Mister Eugene, you are called by Sir Lawrent for training."
——
And so I filled the schedule at 9:30 as training.
——
I arrived at the training ground of the house. It is spacious and well kept. It is somewhat similar to training grounds you see on several manhwas.
A man I assume the instructor was standing on one end of the space. I walked to him and greeted him.
After we exchanged greetings he started going over the training plans he had for today.
——
He is a physical combat instructor. He teaches me swordsmanship.
——
"Let's start with warm-ups. As usual, 10 rounds around the ground, 75 pushups and situps. Then do 100 swings with the dummies. Only then we'll start with our training for today."
"Understood sir."
Doing the runs and exercise was not a problem for me and this body. The problem was with the swings. I had no knowledge of what swordsmanship he uses or a pre-set form.
I'll have to willingly mess up.
When I started the swings. I just use one form of swing that I saw on Earth as a trial. A kendo swing.
I predetermined almost everything from my muscle usage and forms. Luckily this body is very refined. As expected, my kendo swing was flawless by my standard.
The instructor didn't pay any mind and seems to be doing something else. And so I continued to do my swings 99 more time.
After finishing, I came to the instructor.
"You're done? Well then let's go over today's training. Our goal is to complete the Kahse Swordsmanship. Today I'll teach you the 6th form."
Kahse? Fuck is that? Anyway I have no clue about what that shit is. My plan is, since I have a genius body I could probably follow what he teaches me today unless it is heavily related to the previous forms. So I'll have to hope I'm able to keep up."
"Hold your sword tightly"
He walked over to me and corrected my posture.
Now my posture is like those samurai from a certain anime before doing breaths.
"I'll shot it to you first. Etch it into your mind."
After imitating my form that he corrected, his hand holding a wooden sword slowly swung from a level at his waist rising to the air diagonally slowly. Then held the sword with both his hand and turned his body slightly to the right and swung downward 180 degrees from the point when he ended the diagonal swing. He leaped forward and swung diagonally akin to drawing and X relentlessly.
Fuck. Does't that look hard. Maybe this body's physical might be able to keep up but my brain is the problem.
"Alright. Let's see you do it. I'll guide you slowly."
I chose to be optimistic and prayed that the body listens.
I imitated what I saw with my eyes. I took a deek breath and my mind went over what I just saw. Every single detail.
What I've been noticing is that, my memory is also better since I took over this body. I've been able to practically memorise everything in one go.
And so, I'll rely with what I've been blessed with. I performed the sword's form. Every single detail of movement and my muscle. I kept my attention on them and my mind simultaneously guided my body to imitate what I've seen earlier.
After finishing it, the instructor looked at me with a normal expression.
Either I've done well similarly to what he'd expect of Eugene or I did not so perfect similar to his expectation. None is a bad choice.
"Very well. Some movements can be corrected for example, your power when swining diagonally. Let's go over it."
It seems I did not do perfect but it's not a bad path. It means he doesn't expect me to be perfect everytime. That's a given, no one is perfect and that includes geniuses. Luckily Eugene is probably not the type of genius that imitates everything he see and perform it flawlessly.
And so, the training continued under the instructor's guidance and I did my best to keep up with the trainings for 3 hours.
——
Physical training finishes at 12:30
Magic training starts at 12:45
——
Immediately after physical training ends, I'll have magic training.
Magic training is not a big concern as after my study last night, I've more or less mastered the fundamental of magic.
And as I expected, the training was not that complicated and concerning as what the instructor teaches is a few more magical spells albeit a bit more complex and advanced.
——
Magic training ends at 1:45
——
Magic training is somehow much shorter. Well not that I mind as I have more free time.
After washing up I went for lunch. Today, my parents aren't home as they are working. The only people present here is me, my sister and Gwen.
For some reason Gwen is here again. I couldn't care less though.
I do have some concern I have to ask.
"Hm..Gwen. Can I call you Gwen?"
"Huh? Yeah, Sure."
"When do you have the time to teach me. I don't want to bother you that much so is once a week fine? I also prefer weekends."
"It's fine. It's not that much of a burden. I will be frequenting here anyway. Then, what about saturday evening?"
"That'd work."
My sister hearing this, commented.
"Hey Eugene, why are so well-mannered with her! You rarely act that way with me."
Roxanne seems to be quite eccentric. She's got a fun character I'd say.
"Huh? I'm always well-mannered."
I replied with a puzzled face.
"Bullshit! You rarely talk to me and when you do you always act like a rebellious kid."
I looked at Gwen and pointed at my sister then did a gesture indicating she's odd.
Gwen subtly chuckled. My sister who saw this went feral before continuing to eat.
If I'd say, I'm quite well-versed in ragebaiting.
