Yuto stood before the shimmering Spirit Origin fragment, its quantum glow pulsing like a heartbeat. The air crackled with possibility. A digital mirage unfurled, revealing a lineup of five-star Servants: Karna's golden spear gleamed, Ishtar's divine aura radiated, Romulus-Quirinus loomed with Grand Lancer might. Even limited Servants like Ryougi Shiki and Taigong Wang beckoned. The selection was a treasure trove, far beyond his expectations.
"Alright, let's narrow it down," he muttered. "The ones I've already got? Out."
His gaze flicked over Gilgamesh, Arthur Pendragon, and Senji Muramasa. Nope. Even Muramasa, the weakest of his current lineup, was already at two Noble Phantasms. Upgrading them wasn't a bad idea, but Yuto wasn't here to play it safe. He wanted something fresh, something new.
Plenty of five-stars had divine Spirit Origins. He craved real godly authority, the kind that could shake the heavens and earth.
So, he skipped the weaker ones: Hijikata Toshizo and Osakabehime.
He was after the heavy hitters; divine Servants with serious power.
After half an hour of picking and choosing, he'd whittled it down to a shortlist.
Karna stood out first. Golden armor that laughed in the face of gods, paired with a spear that could drop any deity in one shot. The guy was a legend, son of the sun god Surya from the Mahabharata, the Hero of Charity. One of the few who could go toe-to-toe with Gilgamesh.
Yuto couldn't lie, he was tempted. Karna's Noble Phantasms, like 'O Sun, Become Armor' and 'Brahmastra: O Brahma, Cover the Earth,' were terrifyingly strong. Even at one Noble Phantasm, they'd boost his power through the roof.
But he paused. The others were just as good.
There was Ishtar, Mesopotamian goddess of beauty, harvest, and war. Romulus-Quirinus, rocking a Grand Lancer Spirit Origin. A few others with alien god aura. And then the Beasts.
Oh, the Beasts.
"Maybe Tiamat," he mused, his eyes locking onto her.
In her card, Tiamat was stunning. She had curves that spoke of creation, long azure hair like a clear sky, crimson eyes that pierced through you, and those strange, elegant horns. She radiated a motherly warmth, the kind that birthed worlds.
One of the Seven Evils of Humanity, Tiamat was the Beast of Regression in the Type-Moon universe. Beasts were disasters humanity rejected. They were seven in total, each a threat to history itself. Born from civilization, they grew stronger with it, only to tear it apart from the inside like a cancer..
Did that scare Yuto off? Not a chance.
Servant Tiamat had some rationality to her, and the power she packed was unreal and this was the real Beast-class deal.
[Are you sure you want to choose the Servant Tiamat (Beast)?]
"Yep," he said, flashing a cocky smile.
The second he confirmed it, a massive force hit him from . It was too big to describe, overwhelming yet kind, laced with a Beast's destructive edge. It flooded his soul, juiced up his body, and burned through him like a shot of pure fire. He nearly roared from the rush.
Scales, dark blue and sleek sprouted on his cheeks and elbows. His eyes shifted to golden slits, sharp and wild. Dragon blood boiled inside him, pushing out horns, wings, and a tail that could smash a castle gate.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
His heart hammered like a war drum. This wasn't just a makeover. His body hit a whole new level.
This was Tiamat's authority mixed dragon traits with the ocean's might. As a mother goddess, her life force was off the charts.
"Did I just turn into a dragon?" he wondered aloud, then chuckled. "Nah, more like dragon mode."
The room didn't survive the transformation, it was trashed in an instant. Yuto scratched his head, sheepish. "Oops." He tapped into Tiamat's power and shrank back to human form.
"Another trump card," he said, smirking. In that state, his defense was insane, and one swing could level a street. Creation goddess vibes, for sure and this wasn't the watered-down Alter Ego version. This was pure Beast-class juice.
He plopped onto the wrecked bed's edge, pulling up Tiamat's ability list.
…..
[Beast Authority A]: Grants an advantage against all things. As Tiamat is the mother goddess of all creation, this skill's range is exceptionally broad.
[Independent Manifestation B]: The ability to exist independently in the present world. Evades time-based attacks like "time paradoxes," immune to instant death attacks, and can create eleven monsters.
[Self-Modification EX]: Uses the black Sea of Life to replace one's Spirit Origin. Upon activation, automatically masters the Sea of Life form and can freely modify one's body. Those trapped in the black mud and submerged in the sea are randomly granted skills like Self-Modification, Ecological Change, Ecological Fusion, and Individual Multiplication. After modification, these creatures automatically attract aggression and become enemies of all humanity.
Retained Skills:
[Sea of Life EX]: The Beast is the ocean that gives birth to life itself. By circulating the true Ether from Earth's creation, this ocean can supply infinite magical energy.
[Self-Seal C+++]: Locks user's state, using pain to crank up their combat power.
[Nega-Genesis A]: A conceptual barrier that can overturn existing theories of evolution and prophecies of Earth's creation.
After system alteration, it provides immense resistance to attacks and creates a barrier against Noble Phantasms of Servants classified as [Human] or [Star].
[Monstrous Strength A+++]: Tiamat's physical strength in dragon form is almost on par with giants.
…..
"Nice," he muttered. There are six skills already, not counting the big three or her Noble Phantasm.
The power surging through him was wild. Sure, at one Noble Phantasm, she wasn't at her world-ending peak from the lore, but still—
"Plenty of room to grow," he said, stretching. "This'll do for now."
"Archer, what the hell did you do?!" a voice shouted.
Footsteps rushed in. Artoria and the group burst through the door, staring at the mess.
Yuto blinked at the wide-eyed blonde. "Sorry, Artoria. I tested some new abilities and, uh….broke the room a little."
"A little?!" The girls gaped at the floor. The whole house was one step from collapsing.
"Hold up, I'll fix it," he said, winking.
With a flick of his hand, a black-and-red ocean rose behind him. It was dark and heavy as if filled with despair, yet pulsing with stubborn life. Crimson reflections danced on its surface like blood moons mashed together. The waves rolled out, swallowing the debris, and in a blink, the room was back to normal.
"What…?" The Tohsaka sisters froze, jaws dropped.
"Magecraft?" one mumbled. "No, this is straight-up magic, miracles, even."
Medea and Scathach, sharper than the rest, tensed up. Their Spirit Origins screamed 'don't touch that tide.'
Yuto caught their stares and grinned. "It's my new ability : the Sea of Life. As long as it's flowing, I've got infinite magic.
.......
After the Holy Grail War wrapped up, Fuyuki City settled down. The mysterious incident of Ryudou Temple vanishing, chunks of land wiped out, had the local suits freaking out for a while. But time passed, and the chatter about mysteries faded into nothing.
One day, Yuto and Medea stood before the corrupted Holy Grail, ready to cleanse it.
"Master, can you really wipe it out in one go?" Medea asked, her voice soft but skeptical. As a witch from the Age of Gods, she knew how nasty that black mud was.
"Pretty much," Yuto replied, nodding. "The Sea of Life lets me push the baptism chant way past its limit."
Without further ado, he summoned the black-red ocean again. It crashed toward the Grail like a tidal wave.
"Eh…?" Medea flinched. Her Spirit Origin quaked. That tide was pure terror.
She glanced at Yuto, awe creeping in.
Wooosh.
The tide roared like a storm, scraping the mud off the Grail like it was nothing.
After a moment the ocean pulled back, it was darker now after swallowing the mud. Medea blinked, did she just see a figure in the vortex, screaming, breaking apart? She shivered under Yuto's knowing look.
"Done," he said, stretching lazily. Then he turned. "Medea."
"Yes!" She jumped, flustered.
"Take off the hood. Let me see you."
"Uh… okay," she mumbled.
Medea had a simple charm. Blue hair spilled over her shoulders, a cute braid by her left ear. Her matching blue eyes flickered with shy nerves.
"Pretty," he said, grinning. "Why hide it?"
She caught the real admiration in his eyes. Medea was a villain on paper, but deep down she was a girl who'd dreamed of love until Jason trashed it all.
"I… just don't like being seen," she said, her voice catching as his gaze warmed.
"I like this version," Yuto said. "No more hood. Get Rin and Sakura to help you buy some cute modern clothes."
"Yes… Master," she replied, a faint smile sneaking out. Her girly side couldn't say no to shopping for some cute clothes.
"Come here," he added, leaning closer.
Those elf-like ears, that clear beauty, it stirred something in him. Her purple dress hugged her slim, toned frame. As she stepped nearer, her curves tightened. It highlighted her slender waist and full hips like a peach.
Yuto looked down at her, heat flickering in his eyes.
