Chapter 90 - Chapter 89

"Attack together!"

Facing a Corpse King who had broken into the god-tier realm, the three factions didn't hesitate—they launched their ultimates all at once.

Uncle Tu was the first to act, unleashing an explosive, full-power version of Five-Beast Form aimed to deliver a heavy blow.

"Too slow."

BOOM!

Just as Uncle Tu charged in, the Corpse King casually sidestepped. The moment Uncle Tu slid past, he was met with a devastating punch.

"Damn! Almost died from that! Thank god for my belly fat!"

He spat blood—his internal force had barely managed to absorb the blow, but his meridians were in shambles.

"Tenchi Genmetsuzan!"

From the shadows, Fūma Tarō launched an ambush. His sacred blade, Sakura Flame, burst into flames as he swung.

A blazing sword wave split the Corpse King in two—and even bisected the entire building!

"Did that do it?!"

The dust settled… but the Corpse King still stood there, completely unharmed.

"Hahaha… now you see the gap between us."

"Even standing here, unmoving, undefended, none of you can kill me."

"You came here knowing you'd die. Why? Because I am now invincible."

As he spoke, he drew more blood energy from the blood pool, his power rising once again.

"Destroy the blood pool!"

"He's taking damage on purpose to temper his body! Every hit lets him absorb the blood and grow stronger!"

The vampire immediately warned the others and transformed into a swarm of bats, swarming the Corpse King and greedily feeding on his blood—

Only to immediately realize something was off.

"Cough—damn! The blood's toxic!"

She abandoned the infected bats, but her arm was already mutating—eyes were sprouting from her skin!

Without hesitation, she severed her own arm!

They hadn't even landed a decisive blow, and already the casualties were immense.

Uncle Tu had internal injuries.

The vampire lost an arm and copious blood.

Fūma Tarō's old wound—inflicted by Grandmaster Buxiu—began to flare up again.

"…Monster."

They were crippled, and the Corpse King hadn't even used a real technique yet!

"I've got no choice now. Time to burn it all!"

Uncle Tu's muscles exploded outward again. Burning his life force, he poured every ounce of power and killing intent into one move:

"Slaughtering Thousand Miles!"

"So slow. You think that'll hit me?"

But just as the Corpse King mocked him, he realized—

He was bound.

Invisible Dragon-Locking Chains wrapped tightly around him—even he couldn't break free quickly!

"I knew this move was slow! That's why I also learned Binding Dragon Chains!"

In that fleeting window, Uncle Tu's final strike detonated.

A titanic shockwave tore through the entire nest and far beyond, destroying countless buildings.

"Cough… that had to do it… right?"

Exhausted, he collapsed. Once a muscle-bound monster, he now looked like a dried-up stick.

"Still didn't master that technique properly…"

He gasped. Even breathing felt like pulling air through a needle.

"…Impressive move. But you still can't kill me."

As the smoke cleared, the Corpse King's skeletal frame and head still remained—smiling.

"And now, I'll absorb even more blood…"

But—

He paused. The blood pool… had evaporated.

"I've broken his body and destroyed the pool! Finish him off!"

"Fūma Secret Technique: Shadow Blade Step!"

Fūma Tarō didn't want to listen to Uncle Tu—but the chance was too good to pass up.

Twin giant blades appeared and blurred into a streak of light.

In the blink of an eye, he was in front of the Corpse King.

"I underestimated you before. But not this time."

The Corpse King caught his blade with one hand.

"Heavenly Martial Arts—Reversal Fist!"

BOOM! One punch shattered Tarō's strongest strike. The backlash wrecked his body—he was completely done.

"This monster knows Huaxia martial arts too?! How the hell are we supposed to fight this?! I'm out!"

The vampire panicked, abandoned her followers, and turned into a swarm of bats to flee—

"Too late."

The Corpse King grabbed the air. All of a sudden, the walls and tunnels sealed. The vampires and freaks were all trapped.

The vampire had no choice but to reappear in her true form.

"Don't run, fight him!"

Uncle Tu roared.

"His body may look fine, but he's lost a lot of blood energy. You've still got a shot!"

"Idiot! Baka!"

Even the near-dead Fūma Tarō couldn't hold back his rage. What a useless teammate!

"Oh. Thanks for the reminder. I forgot I was low on qi and blood."

The Corpse King smirked. A flesh tube shot out from the ground and connected to him.

Instantly, his strength surged.

"Hahaha… you thought destroying the blood pool would stop me?"

"This nest was made using the flesh of hundreds of thousands. You really thought the blood pool was the only energy source?"

"As long as I'm here, I can never die!!"

Born in the Qin Dynasty, son of a famed general, the Corpse King had learned caution through tragedy.

He always planned for failure first, then victory.

If he couldn't win, he had fake-death plans and backup bodies.

His strategy was flawless.

"We all burned our lives to nearly kill him, and he heals it all in seconds. How the hell do we fight this?!"

"He's a walking blood potion—how do we beat that?!"

From the Huaxia Special Ops Team 2, Fire Swallow gritted his teeth.

"This guy is literally using cheat codes! Admin! BAN HIM!!"

"Prepare the Five-Star Life-Sacrifice Array!"

"Even Uncle Tu failed—what's the point?!"

"There's no choice. It's die now or die later. FIGHT!"

Even the vampire knew she couldn't escape. She called Laura and the remaining monsters—

"We're really fighting this thing?"

"There's no chance we'll win. We'll all die."

"Maybe we can surrender? We're all monsters. He might spare us…"

They were even debating the posture to beg for mercy in.

"You—ugh!"

The vampire vomited blood from sheer rage.

She now fully understood Uncle Tu and Tarō's fury.

This team was beyond hopeless!

"…Forget it. I'll do it myself!"

She drew a divine artifact and chanted a dark incantation.

Behind her, the phantom of the Grim Reaper appeared—

And then—

A golden sword slash descended.

The same Corpse King who had been completely invincible… was sliced clean in half.

He tried to regenerate—

But instead, he dissolved into a tide of ash.

"What?! Why can't I regenerate?!"

"Damn it! Who is it?!"

For the first time, the Corpse King panicked.

His eyes traced the sword slash's path—

In the distance, a man in his twenties was calmly walking forward.

He raised his head, as if he sensed the Corpse King looking.

Their eyes met.

CRACK.

The Corpse King's soul shattered from the gaze alone.

I have to run.

This man was beyond him. He had to retreat. He needed to learn his identity.

"Who knew someone like him still existed… Fine. I lost this time."

But—

Even as he shed his damaged flesh and tried to rebuild a new body—

It didn't work.

The sword scar remained.

Like it was etched into his soul.

"No matter what I do… it won't go away!"

Even swapping bodies couldn't remove it. It was as if… he was born with it.

"…I held back because I didn't want to hurt anyone else," Kei said, walking over.

"I didn't expect your vitality to be so absurd."

He raised his sword again—and finished it.

The Corpse King… was dead.

"Careful, Little Brother! That thing can regenerate!"

Uncle Tu called out.

But Kei had already struck.

"…Huh? I'm not dead?"

Uncle Tu blinked. Kei's sword hadn't harmed him—it had restored his lost energy.

"Wait… what was that move?! It looked like a sword technique but it felt totally different!"

Kei thought for a second.

"Oh, that? Just a basic attack. Not even a technique."

"…Just a basic attack?!"

"I get it! You've transcended form! No move is stronger than no move!"

"No, really. That was just a normal swing."

Uncle Tu felt the gap between them widen to infinity.

He was done. He was going home to be a dad.

"Who's this powerhouse?"

Fire Swallow ran over, eyes sparkling.

"This is my little junior, Kei."

"Your junior is this strong? What's your senior like?!"

"He gave up. Kei's just too strong."

Uncle Tu sighed.

"Yanzi, you know… Our senior once said something."

"What?"

'Back then, we thought Kei was the strongest among us.

Then we went out into the world…

And realized—

Kei really was the strongest.'

Since then, their senior had gone full slacker mode.

And now… Uncle Tu got it.

He had burned everything for one ultimate move—and Kei's basic attack was stronger.

There was no point in trying anymore. Time to stay home and raise his daughter.

"By the way, Kei, why are you even here?"

"I was wandering near the outskirts. Then the outbreak started. I thought I'd take care of it while I was nearby."

"I sensed your technique, pinpointed your aura, and slashed.

By the way—your move… still only at level 4.6?"

Kei shook his head.

"I mastered it at ten. What have you been doing all these years?"

"…Stop. I'm gonna cry."

The monster nearly killed him, but this hit harder.

"Don't worry, Uncle Tu! I can't do any martial arts, and I'm still super happy!"

"You were born with a weird body. You couldn't train even if you wanted to… but you're right. Why compare? I give up."

The vampires and ninja didn't dare move.

"…That guy… he's the Demon King?"

Laura whispered.

Now she understood the ones who fled.

A single slash ended the unbeatable Corpse King.

And that was just… a basic attack.

His mere presence made her feel like she stood at a cliff's edge.

One wrong step, and she'd vanish.

"Don't move. Don't run. Just wait for the Demon King to decide your fate."

"If we're lucky, he'll give us a clean death."

The vampire surrendered outright.

Even in her prime, she doubted she could survive one strike.

Now, injured and drained—resistance was pointless.

"…Understood."
