Chapter 5 - Chapter 005: Don't Care Who I Am?

Earlier, the man in the suit had told the boy Sheng Tang's name and had already found her home address.

The boy knew her name was Sheng Tang, but she didn't know his.

"...You didn't even ask my name," he said, feeling disappointed.

Last night, around three in the morning, the boy's family called Sheng Tang's parents to inform them that she went to the countryside with their daughter and was staying at a guesthouse there. They would return the next morning.

Her mother hugged her, crying and scolding, "Staying out all night, you've really become something!"

She felt warm and had a faint fragrance, like the scent of shower gel, wafting into Sheng Tang's nose.

So this is mom's scent?

Sheng Tang felt a warmth in her heart.

Three days later, Sheng Tang accepted everything: she had turned from an actress into a seventeen-year-old fat junior in high school.

The fat girl was about 165 cm tall and weighed 150 pounds.

Her world now seemed like a parallel universe, lacking many elements from Sheng Tang's memory, and of course, Sheng Tang herself didn't exist here.

Change was terrifying. Such sudden change paradoxically provided Sheng Tang with a strange sense of peace.

Because now, she had a family.

At home, there were parents, a younger brother, and a grandmother.

Her father was an associate professor at Geological University, and her mother worked in a library. The younger brother had just started middle school, and the grandmother was healthy and wise.

They treated her very well.

Sheng Tang had lost her parents when she was two and was raised by her grandmother. After her grandmother's death, her aunt took care of her, but her cousin was always jealous, causing unrest at home, so her aunt sent her to a boarding school.

Her aunt treated her well, and Sheng Tang was always grateful.

Especially when the school teachers said she had a talent for acting, her aunt spent a lot of money supporting her in art exams and later helping her find connections when she entered the film industry.

But her aunt never gave her the warmth of a family.

She had always longed for a family, and unbelievably her dream came true in such an incredible way. So much so, that Sheng Tang had no resentment about becoming a fat junior in high school.

Another day passed, and at dinner, her mother reminded her, "Tomorrow, when you go to school, don't be afraid of anyone, understand?"

Sheng Tang: "Afraid of whom?"

"That student, the school has criticized her and given her a major demerit," her mother added.

The reason the fat girl was out in the wilderness in the middle of the night was because a classmate named Feng Yijin had invited her out during the National Day holiday but abandoned her halfway.

They had sincerely intended to torment her.

"It's alright. I'm not scared," Sheng Tang said.

Her parents exchanged a worried look.

The grandmother spoke slowly, "Tangtang knows what she's doing. You don't need to worry so much."

The next day, the National Day holiday ended, and Sheng Tang got up early to go to school.

She didn't know where the school was or her class, so she pestered her mother to take her.

Her mother actually felt relieved.

After such an ordeal, fear was the normal emotion. Her mother personally drove her to the school gate. She even discussed with the teacher on duty to allow her to go inside.

She brought Sheng Tang to the classroom.

Sheng Tang memorized the route along the way.

"Lunch money is in your wallet," her mother whispered to her. "Well, I'm off to work. Are you going to be okay?"

Sheng Tang smiled, "Yes."

Her mother patted her head and left the classroom.

Sheng Tang sat down and found the chair a bit small and the space tight. She casually pinched the flesh on her body, thinking, "I need to lose weight. Being fat is tough."

She pulled her textbooks from her bag. Just as she arranged them, a few female students walked in.
