Natasha was overjoyed when she heard the system notification. She finally advanced and was now a Supreme soul soldier. She could feel her body grow stronger and all of her wounds healed. Twenty more wolves came out alongside five arctic bears.
She glared at them with a cold look in her eyes. "I'll celebrate later. Right now, I'll have to kill a few more soul beasts and grow even stronger," she thought to herself with a predatory glint in her eyes. She lunged at the beasts at lightning-fast speed.
She quickly dispatched the wolves with little to no effort at all since the beasts were weaker than her but that also meant she didn't get and soul crystals but she didn't pay any attention to this. She rushed towards the bears, fury and anger evident in azure eyes. She had a bone to pick with the arctic bears since some of their kind caused her immense pain when she entered the trial grounds.
One bear lunged at her and swiped its razor-sharp claws against her chest but the bear's claws were actually able to inflict damage to the chest plate unlike the time when that wolf tried to swipe its claws against her chest plate.
She swung her sword in a wide arc aiming for the beast's neck. Her sword strike was not strong enough to completely severe its head but it did cut through the bear's throat. Blue blood sprayed everywhere like water from a fountain.
The bear stumbled a bit before it fell down on its back as it laid dead on the ground. The bear's blue blood tainted Natasha's attire in a blue color. Her face was completely covered in blue blood along with her predatory eyes she looked like a beast. Any normal person would wipe the blood of her face but she was far from normal. She licked the blood on her lips curios on how it tastes like.
"It tastes like blueberries and I can also sense that it has soul essence which enhances the taste. But I wonder why there is soul essence in their blood. I guess I will have to ask Keith later when I kill the rest of the beasts," she thought to herself whilst she was dodging the attacks from two bears.
She slashed one of the bear's abdomen and viscera spilled on the ground successfully killing it with one single strike. The other bear sent its paw crushing down on her like a hammer but she dodged the attack and sliced the arm off.
The bear felt a wave of pain rush through its body. The clouds cleared revealing the beautiful blue moon. The moonlight's illumination revealed what Natasha's image.
Her armor was riddled with claw marks. Her entire body was covered in blue blood but the bear wasn't scared of how scary she looked right now but was instead was scared of the predatory look in her eyes. her eyes were enough to instill fear into the beast and cause shivers to run down its spine.
The bear tried to retreat but Natasha slashed the bear's neck but this time she was able to decapitate the bear's head due her to coating her sword in a bright blue flame that increased the sword's sharpness. The flame on her sword then transferred to the bear's body and burnt the corpse before turning into ice that froze its charred body then the ice broke into a million pieces.
More soul beasts appeared this time amounting up to one hundred soul beasts. Natasha smiled manically as she lunged at the beasts. She loved every ounce of this battle. The blood she spilled, her life hanging on the balance and the adrenaline coursing through her veins.
She raised her left hand and summoned her blue flames and created five spears from the flames and propelled them towards her enemies whilst swinging her sword around leaving fatal wounds on the beasts' bodies.
The beasts started surrounding her and threw a barrage of ice talents at her. She stood there in the center unbothered by the barrage of ice attacks that were coming straight at her at astonishing speeds. She covered her entire body with the bright blue flame that turned the ice attacks into puddles of water.
She manipulated the water and turned them into one hundred water bullets and shot them at the soul beasts that surrounded her with pinpoint accuracy. The bullets pierced the each of the beasts' skulls and also piercing their brains, killing them in less than one second.
More beasts came out but when they saw the mountain of corpses. In the middle of this mountain of corpses stood a girl about average height and had an average physique. Her body was covered in the blue blood of the soul beasts.
The soul beast could tell that this carnage was done by the person in front of them. Some of the soul beasts with below average intelligence wanted to avenge their lost brethren while the other soul beasts which were capable of making rational decisions wanted to run away but something or someone was stopping them. They felt an invisible pressure that stopped them from running away.
Some beasts tried locating the origins of this invisible pressure and were successfully able to find it since the person wasn't even trying to hide it. The person was meditating on top of a large thick branch with a serene expression on his face that sent a shiver down their spines.
The beasts decided to fight Natasha out of fear of the person who was resting on top of the tree. They charged at her with all of the speed in their body and unleashed a flurry of attacks. She dodged and deflected the attacks with relative ease.
With each swing of her sword, a soul beast's head would fall to the ground with a thud. Natasha noticed that her proficiency with the sword had grown quite a bit after fighting and killing so many soul beasts. Battling with this many soul beasts had proved far more sufficient than the normal training she did every day at her house. She also realized that fighting soul beast was so much fun and exciting.
When she entered soul rifts, her guards would deal most of the damage and she would deal the finishing blow but if she had known the thrill of battle, she would have asked her father to stop her guards from helping her.
Minutes passed as she crazily swung her around killing every soul beast in sight. After a few hours of fighting without any rest, she defeated all the soul beasts in the beast horde. Her body was riddled with injuries, her armor was in tatters. She had lost a lot of blood and was tired from all the fighting.
"I did it," she muttered weakly. "I defeated the beast horde," she muttered as she fell asleep due to exhaustion and almost fell to the ground if it wasn't for Keith catching her before she fell.
