Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: 99 Good Person Cards

It was a bright and sunny day.

Jay stepped onto the slightly damp ground and gazed at the oval-shaped "big head" in the center of the island. He realized the island truly lived up to its name, it looked just like a giant squid sprawled across the ocean's surface.

Between every two "long legs" of the island, there was a port where numerous people disembarked from their ships and made their way toward the center of the island.

Jay spent 200 Berries to purchase a tourist guide nearby.

The guide not only included a complete map of the island but also marked various attractions and functional facilities in detail.

Additionally, some well-known shop names were listed, making him suspect it was more of an advertisement.

As he followed the crowd toward the island's center, he kept his head down, studying the guide to find his destination.

Even though he wasn't watching the road, he effortlessly avoided bumping into anyone around him.

This wasn't because Jay had mastered Observation Haki, it was the emerging power of the "Hanma Bloodline" enhancing his keen perception.

Though he appeared focused solely on the map in his hands, he was actually multitasking. His peripheral vision constantly recorded the surrounding environment and relayed information to his brain, which then issued precise commands to his body.

As a result, he navigated the crowd smoothly, avoiding collisions with ease.

By the time Jay put away the map, he had already arrived at his first destination.

[Beautiful Women's Yoga and Relaxation Club]

Just by looking at the sign, it was clear that this was an exclusive establishment catering to female customers.

A handsome young man like Jay standing at the entrance naturally attracted some curious and puzzled gazes.

However, after adjusting his clothes slightly, he straightened his posture, held his head high, and confidently stepped inside, unfazed by the attention.

"Hello, sir. If you're waiting for someone, please use our lounge area over here."

"I'm not waiting for anyone. I'm here to learn yoga and dance. Where do I sign up?"

"Uh… Sorry, sir. Since all our instructors and students are female, we do not accept male clients at the moment," the uniformed receptionist said with a polite smile.

Over the years, some men had tried using similar excuses to sneak inside out of curiosity.

Most of the time, their greasy demeanor and ulterior motives were easy to see through.

But the charming young man in front of her… He didn't seem like one of those sleazy guys.

Perhaps this was the privilege of good looks.

After all, if an unattractive man used the same pick-up line, it would be called harassment or creepiness.

But if a handsome man did it, it was called flirting, romantic even!

Despite being rejected, Jay didn't give up. He flashed a particularly dazzling smile.

"Can you do me a favor?"

The receptionist felt her heartbeat quicken slightly. "What kind of favor?"

"Could you ask the instructors inside? I genuinely want to learn yoga and dance. If your instructors are truly professional, gender shouldn't matter. I'm willing to pay for one-on-one lessons, and the instructor can choose the location if they prefer."

Jay had laid out his sincerity clearly.

The receptionist hesitated, looking a bit conflicted.

However, given how much this guy's face lifted her mood, she decided to help.

She asked Jay to wait in the lounge while she checked with the instructors.

A short while later, she returned with bad news.

"I'm really sorry. I conveyed your request, but none of the instructors agreed."

Jay sighed regretfully. "That's really unfortunate. By the way, I didn't catch your name?"

"I'm Tiana. My friends call me Tiana. What about you?"

"Got it. My name is Jay. Now then, beautiful Miss Tiana, as a thank-you for your help, may I treat you to lunch?"

"Is this an invitation to a date?"

"Of course. Do you accept?"

With a faint blush, Tiana nodded. "Mm. Wait a moment, I'll go change my clothes."

After a quick chat with her coworkers, she soon emerged in a lovely white dress.

Jay found a restaurant nearby that served sakura mochi and began their date.

Since he was both handsome and charming, it didn't take long before Tiana was completely smitten, and their meal was filled with laughter.

"Jay, do you really like sakura mochi?"

"No, I absolutely hate it."

"Huh? Then why are you eating so much of it?"

"Because eating sakura mochi makes me stronger."

"Haha, stop teasing me~!"

Jay simply smiled and took another bite of the dessert.

Sensing that the time was right, he subtly steered the conversation toward the instructors at the club.

He asked about their names, personalities, professionalism, and even where they lived.

With her guard completely down, Tiana chatted away as if she were gossiping with a close friend, venting about her workplace.

Jay listened attentively.

By the end of the date, Tiana's eyes were practically glowing with admiration.

"Jay, are you free this afternoon? If you want to explore the island, I can take the rest of the day off and show you around."

"I'm really sorry, Tiana. You're a wonderful girl, but I'm not a responsible man. I don't want to hurt someone as pure as you. So, I must go."

With that, Jay successfully handed out his first "Good Person Card."

In return, he got a kick to the shin and an angry shout of "You jerk!"

But it was worth it, he had made progress in activating the [Mitsuri Kanroji] (Orange) Character Card's "Mark" ability.

Thinking about the 98 more "Good Person Cards" he still had to give out, he couldn't help but sigh.

Why did someone as pure-hearted as him have to go through such torment?!

Such a moral dilemma… Sigh!

Just then, a woman stepped out of the club, and Jay's eyes immediately lit up.

"Curvaceous figure, fiery red lips, wavy hair, and a beauty mark at the corner of her eye… It's a match!"

He instantly forgot all about Tiana and quickly followed her.

"Hey, Miss Chizu! It really is you!"

"You are…?"

"I'm Jay! Rina's younger brother! Don't you remember? We had dinner together last time!"

"Oh, so you're Miss Rina's brother? Now I remember. Speaking of which, Rina hasn't come to class lately. Did something happen?"

"Yeah, something did come up. Miss Chizu, you haven't eaten yet, right? Why don't we grab a meal and chat?"

"Ah? That might not be appropriate…"

"Come on, we talked about this last time! Besides, I have something I'd love to ask your advice on."

"Well… okay then."

Faced with Jay's enthusiasm, Miss Chizu hesitated but eventually agreed.

Ironically, Jay hadn't expected the information he just extracted from Tiana to be useful so soon.
