Chapter 93 - Chapter 93 A Devoted Son

With twelve more Byakugan in his possession, Kadoya quietly began the process of fusion.

Each eye was carefully unsealed from its preservation jar. One by one, he infused them into Saiguu's own eyes, not physically implanting them, but channeling their essence, using [Chakra Manipulation], integrating their ocular energy into her Byakugan.

When it was over, the twelve Byakugan became lost all of their ocular power..

Saiguu's eyes, now shimmering with subtle, unnatural brilliance, slowly opened. She blinked once, then twice.

She activated her Byakugan. "Eleven kilometers," she whispered, her voice calm. "I can see eleven kilometers with perfect clarity."

According to what Kadoya could remember, the fastest a Hyuga could see with their eyes in the original work is Hinata, who could see up to 10 km.

Now, Saiguu has surpassed Hinata in ocular power; who knows, she might start to unlock some of the Tenseigan's power.

Still, Kadoya's smile faded just slightly. "These eyes aren't as pure as the last batch."

Saiguu nodded, unsurprised. "What can we expect?" she said, brushing a hand beneath her eyes. "We've used up everything in the vault. Most of them were old and weak. The ocular power was already fading before we took them."

As Kadoya had suspected, the Hyuga did maintain a vault of preserved Byakugan, but unlike the Uchiha's, which contained hundreds of eyes from fallen comrades, the Hyuga vault was sparse.

Pathetically so.

Less than a hundred eyes remained, many unusable. Most were retrieved from Main family members who died of old age, those Byakugan that were dulled, worn out, and had low purity. While nearly all Branch members' eyes were destroyed by the Caged Bird Seal, locking away potential even in death.

Saiguu had taken what she could, risking detection each time, but it simply wasn't enough.

Kadoya leaned against the wall, fingers drumming. "I say we burn the whole Hyuga compound to the ground. That'd solve a lot of problems."

Saiguu rolled her eyes without looking at him. "I'm not going that far."

Her voice was calm, almost dismissive, but there was a steel edge behind it.

"I don't want to destroy them," she said. "I want to change them."

Kadoya raised a brow, amused. "Alright, alright, no Itachi-ing the Hyuga."

She let the nonsense pass without comment, as usual.

Still, her face grew more serious. "They've become increasingly paranoid. The missing eyes, the dead elders' stolen eyes."

She sounded tired.

Even now, with a more powerful Byakugan, she couldn't take down everyone in her clan and take the position of Clan Head by force. Because of her alliance with the Main House, the chance of her even getting a high position in the Hyuga seems to be impossible.

Which just added more reason for her wanting more power to take control and change the Hyuga.

With nothing more to say, Saiguu calmly left the Uchiha Compound before heading back toward her research lab.

Left alone beneath the moonlight, Kadoya sighed and leapt up into the branches of the large tree, stretching out along a thick limb, arms folded behind his head as he stared at the stars.

"Even with her mind fractured by betrayal…" he murmured to himself, "she still has hope for them."

He closed his eyes, letting the cool night air settle against his skin.

If Saiguu were to have the mindset or run by emotions like the Uchiha, she might pull an Itachi, killing off her Clan just to change it.

Now that his mind was a bit clearer, he could see the desperation in her voice that day; she just wanted to eradicate the Cage Bird System, so that Branch members didn't have to live like slaves.

With their destiny set in stone, they become nothing but tools for the Main members to boss around and eventually die for.

Saiguu just wanted to change that destiny.

This desire of hers reminded Kadoya of the promise Naruto made to Neji in the original work. He promised to change the Hyuga Clan, but what did he accomplish?

He just married Hinata, Hanabi became the new heir, and nothing changed in the Hyuga.

If Naruto wasn't the Hero who saved the world, Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, the Seven Hokage, both of his children might be branded with the Caged Bird Seal.

In the end, Neji dies, and Naruto only marries Hinata. The Hyuga stay the same.

Since he isn't a Hyuga himself, he could only help her from the sidelines. Whatever became of the Hyuga caused by her is for her to decide and bear.

As Kadoya lay there calmly on his tree, he felt a presence watching, which was supposed to be near impossible due to the many seals he set up and the Uchiha patrolling the streets.

Which caused him to feel a bit uneasy, and a little excited. Could this be a sign that he isn't strong enough? And are there more powerful beings out there?

Close by, on another tree branch, Tiamat stood there staring into empty space.

What Kadoya has forgotten to take into account is the Strongest Filial Son in history, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, who is said to be dead but is still watching in the Pure Land.

Just now, the Sage of Sixth Path was trying to spy on Kadoya, the unstable factor, who has been causing trouble for his plan.

But just the second he decides to look at Kadoya, a pair of menacing eyes stare back at him, forcing him to quickly turn away and close off all channels which was watching Kadoya.

The Sage himself has already sensed Kadoya's power the moment he summoned Tiamat into this world. Which gave him a heart attack and almost made him pick up his staff to go and deal with the young Kadoya.

Upon realizing that if Kadoya dies, then Tiamat will be free, and he couldn't do anything to stop her, so he wisely put down his staff and sat back down.

The Otsutsuki clan, despite claiming themselves to be god-like beings, is actually still just a highly advanced race. Their power is still no match for a Primordial Goddess like Tiamat.

At that time, he only saw Kadoya's good side, which reminded him of his son Asura, so he didn't do anything. Then, when Kadoya entered the battlefield, he acted way too much like Indra, which almost made the Sage use Monster Reborn to bring himself back to life to go and deal with him.

Then Tiamat suddenly shows up, making the Sage quickly sit back down and decide not to provoke the Mother of Genesis.

If he goes to beat up her son now, who could say that she won't come to the Pure Land and beat him up?

Despite Tiamat might seem weak with no chakra or much power, if she decides to tap into her power of the Sea of Life, she could cause this world to be reset.

Regressing the world back to the beginning.

"Wait a minute..." Kadoya suddenly opened his eyes after searching inside his memory library and found out what he had been ignoring.

"I forgot the biggest 'devoted son'."

The real threat of this world isn't Madara, Black Zetsu, or Kaguya; it is the biggest 'devoted son' lurking in the shadows.

The Sage of Six Paths. Hagoromo Otsutsuki.

In the original story, the guy never even showed up in person, yet he managed to seal away his own mother.

The true mastermind.

Hiding out in the Pure Land, claiming he was dead.

His two sons got to reincarnate over and over, and yet he's been hanging out as a soul in the Pure Land for thousands of years.

He only decided to help Naruto and his gang out to seal Kaguya away, but when the Otsutsuki came to threaten Earth, he did nothing.

Now with an unstable factor like Kadoya around, who could say that this old schemer won't take action?

So even if the Ninja World is destroyed, as long as Kaguya is sealed off, nothing else matters.

No wonder Naruto was full of so many filial sons; it all started with him!

Even after thousands of years, he is still scheming against his own mother.

He is truly a 'devoted son', waiting for his mother's return only to send her off again.

A true filial son.

"Looks like I need to get more power." Kadoya murmurs to himself before reaching and performing his 20x Gacha rolls without hesitation.

He is doing this to gain power to protect himself, not because he is addicted to rolling gacha.

"Interesting," Kadoya murmured, a smirk tugging at the edge of his lips as his eyes scanned the reward list he had been saving up for years.

Sharingan: Isshun Chien is a simple Sharingan technique causing a momentary lag toward whoever his gaze falls on, delaying their response by roughly 0.5 to 1 second. In the world of high-speed shinobi combat, that single second could mean the difference between life and death.

Bag of Rings...

A literal bag of golden rings. No flashy description. Just a bag of shiny, probably very expensive rings.

"…Okay?" Kadoya muttered, raising an eyebrow. "What is this, some off-brand Sonic crossover?" He tossed the bag into his inventory without much thought. Since it came from his system, it was probably valuable in some obscure way, or maybe not. He wasn't going to lose sleep over it.

Hardening.

Raising his right hand, he activated the technique, and a sparkling crystalline shell enveloped his arm in shimmering blue. It glittered in the light like a sculpted gem, beautiful yet dense.

Kadoya flexed his fingers. The weight and stiffness made precise movement cumbersome. With a little focus, he retracted the hardened chakra on his joints and thinned the crystal at key mobility points. Now his movements felt a little more natural.

"A body-hardening ability… where have I seen this before?" He muttered, too lazily to look this up in his memory library.

With a shrug, he deactivated it and moved on.

Two ominous-looking jars materialized before him, sealed tightly.

Demon's Extract and Jormungandr's Blood.

Demon's Extract gave its users the ability to instantly freeze anything by reducing the kinetic energy of atoms.

Jormungandr's Blood carries a strong enough toxin to even kill the God of Thunder, Thor, in Norse Mythology.

So he sealed the two jars into his body like it was the most normal thing in the world, along with the newly added Water Plate.

Master Farmer just makes him a master at farming. "Hmm, should I start a seven-layer potato pyramid farm?" He murmurs to himself, thinking of making a potato farm since his yard is quite large.

Mostly because the Uchiha doesn't want their Clan Head to get bored, walk out of his house, and drag a few unlucky Uchiha to dance.

Sure, they respected and looked up to him, even more than Madara now. Many of them still instinctively fear him; just the mention of his name or the sound of his voice with the word "dance" was enough to make many clench their butt, activate their Sharingan, and get ready for a fight.

Rho Aias, a seven-petaled chakra shield shaped like a blooming flower, with each layer exponentially stronger than the last. He could manifest it by focusing his chakra into a defensive array.

"Tch. Do I even need this? A Kuriboh is enough to tank a hit." He murmurs to himself before thinking more about it. "On second thought, Kuriboh might only be able to block a small Tailed Beast Bomb. But when it comes to a large Tailed Beast Bomb..."

"…Yeah. Rho Aias might be worth it."

Later on, in the Third or maybe Fourth Shinobi War, when the Tailed Beasts kept showing up one by one.

Rho Aias might be a great shield for defense.

Still, he now has Dark Release and Paper Release, with a high enough level of Dark Release, he could absorb chakra from a Tailed Beast Bomb just by raising his palm.

The other ninjutsu didn't interest him much since he already had a large amount of ninjutsu, unable to be fully released with no worthy opponents.

"Maybe I should find Madara, pull the plug on his life support, then use Edo Tensei to bring him back to dance."

He talks to himself before realizing he doesn't know the Edo Tensei.

Plus, Tobirama's Edo Tensei isn't as strong as Orochimaru's Edo Tensei later shown in the future.

"Tch! Useless, you call yourself the Second Hokage, yet your own jutsu is weaker than your disciple's disciple jutsu!" Kadoya complains.

Naori: "?"

She was confused, not sure why he suddenly cursed the Second Hokage out of nowhere.

But knowing he talks nonsense a lot of time and can be unreasonable sometimes, Naori decided to ignore him and go back to enjoying her quiet retirement.

Finally, his gaze shifted toward the last two interesting rewards from his system.

"Mystic Eyes of Death Collection, with these eyes, I can harvest the soul of those I killed. Those souls would become nutrients to recover my chakra or Yin Chakra." He smiles, happy with these eyes.

"Archer Servant Summoning..." He murmurs, then recalls his useless Saber, who now looks more like Kushina's servant than his.

Kadoya didn't even care who came this time.

"Whatever." He tapped the summon button with all the enthusiasm of a man ordering fast food.

Three new crimson marks etched themselves into the back of his left hand, glowing briefly with a crimson light.

The air trembled as a dazzling burst of energy erupted before him.

As the blinding light dimmed, a voice echoed through the shimmering air.

"Hmph… a summoning contract, huh?"

A feminine voice, sharp. Drenched in charisma and danger.

As the light slowly faded, he saw her clearly.

Long, flowing black hair framed a striking face, her crimson eyes gleaming like sharpened blades. She wore nothing but a bold red cloak draped over her shoulders, leaving the rest of her completely exposed without an ounce of shame. Her skin was pale, flawless.

And she was sitting on top of him.

Straddling his waist like it was her throne, one leg casually draped over his stomach, her hands resting on his chest. Her long hair spilled over his torso like a curtain of black silk, their eyes locking in an unblinking stare.

There was no embarrassment on her face, only amusement.

She leaned in, her smile slowly curling like smoke.

"What?" she said, her voice low and dangerous. "You surprised I'm a woman? Or is that a problem? You want to die, do you?"

The amused smirk widened into a grin, equal parts deadly and flirtatious.

Kadoya raised an eyebrow, unfazed. "To think you'd actually answer the call…"

His lips curled into a grin of his own.

"Nobu."

Oda Nobunaga, the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven.
