Hazel Freeman's manicured nails dug into her desk, her gaze on something unseen. She was silent, but it felt heavier than ever. Her eyes were twitching, and her breathing came out loud.
No one needed to tell her she was angry.
They saw she was.
Alexa and Alexis exchanged glances. They couldn't understand why Hazel was obsessing over Logan Hayes. He wasn't the only man on earth. Also, she was literally the one who broke up with him.
Hazel was unbelievable.
"Lexa, was it really necessary to tell her?" Alexis spoke, her eyes rolling in the process. If Alexa hadn't told Hazel about Logan's visit to Harper in class, Hazel wouldn't have ended up looking like a time bomb waiting to explode. Hazel Freeman turned to Alexis, her face burning with rage.
"What kind of question are you asking her? So did you just say she was supposed to shut up?!" she yelled, her brown eyes fixated on Alexis, who shivered under her gaze.
"I just t—thought you wouldn't like l—like this if she hadn't said anything," Alexis stammered, her eyes flickering from Alexa to Hazel.
"Like what?!" Hazel pressed, her eyes unchanging, her nails now tapping her desk.
"Like...." Alexis trailed off. She didn't want to say anything that would make Hazel angrier.
Because she had seen Hazel's anger, and she didn't want to experience it again. Her anger came with some determination and consistency no one dared to erase. If her mind told her to ruin you instantly...
She would.
"Hazel, relax," Alexa chimed in, saving Alexis from Hazel's interrogations. Alexis sighed a sigh of relief briefly, her hand on her chest.
"Relax?" Hazel repeated, an awkward chuckle escaping her lips. She tucked a strand of her curly brown hair behind her, scoffing after the awkward chuckle.
Calm down?
How was she supposed to calm down after all this? Some nobody was taking her Logan from her, and it made no sense.
Logan Hayes belonged to her.
She had everything a girlfriend to a guy like Logan should have.
Popularity? Check.
Beauty? On point.
Perfection? 100 percent.
She deserved him.
People do say he dated her for popularity content, and she cared less. She didn't believe that. Logan loved her... right?
Together, they were the perfect couple. And all of that was about to end because of Harper?
No... no way!
She wouldn't just sit back and watch a nobody take her boyfriend.
"How the hell should I relax? Alexa, tell me." She barked, her voice shaking. She turned to Alexa, her eyes boring into her skin.
"I..... you—" Alexa's stomach twisted into a knot.
"How did it all happen?" Hazel changed the topic, her voice low. Her arms folded, her gaze on the ground.
"W—what happened?" Alexa shivered, her hand clenching the edge of her spaghetti strap bodycon dress.
"How did he visit her? What the fuck did he do?" Hazel threw questions at her.
"Umm..."
"Speak," she ordered.
"He actually entered the classroom, marched to her seat, closed her book and said, 'Enough, princess, it's time to escape stress for your prince, aight?'" Alexa spoke rapidly, mimicking Logan's voice.
"Is that all?" Alexis, who was intrigued, asked, yet her voice was barely audible. Hazel shot her a glare.
"Well, not technically. Logan asked her to come with him, and she placed her hands in his. Their chemistry was palpable," Alexa continued, a faint smile tugging at her lips.
"Aww, it would be too," Alexis commented, but instantly regretted it when Hazel turned to her.
"Chemistry? What the fuck chemistry? What do you mean by chemistry? There's no chemistry between them!" Hazel exploded, her voice getting louder and louder.
"And what the hell do you mean by 'aww'?" She turned to Alexis, who shook her head. "Nothing."
"Erhm... a little add-up?" Alexa spoke timidly, swallowing as she sat upright.
"Talk," Hazel Freeman commanded.
"There was news that he went to pick her up from the dorm," Alexa spoke.
"He what?!" Hazel exclaimed through gritted teeth, her hands clenching into fists.
"Picked her up from her dorm," Alexis continued, flipping her hair.
"Shut up!" Hazel hissed, her hand hitting the desk loudly.
"I hate that slut so much, I wanna murder her!" Hazel roared as she used her fist to hit her forehead.
"I'll destroy her... I swear I really will!" Hazel spoke angrily.
"A competition in a long time?" Alexis spoke. A menacing chuckle escaped Hazel Freeman's lips.
That smirk confirmed it. It confirmed everything. Hazel Freeman meant it when she said she was going to destroy Harper.
It was her new mission now.
Mission: Destroy Harper Reed
"Let's go back to high school," Hazel grinned, a grin that reached her eyes out of satisfaction.
