Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Looting magic creatures.

During the first months at Hogwarts, Noah took advantage of his discretion and skills to secretly collect blood and tissue samples from several of his classmates. Pure-bloods, half-bloods, and Muggle-borns—he wanted to cover all possible variants for his research.

He examined each genetic structure, compared DNA sequences, and searched for key differences between wizards and Muggles.

The result was surprising.

Genetically, wizards and Muggles were almost identical. There was no clear mutation in their DNA that could justify the ability to use magic. However, when he analyzed the blood, he found something entirely different.

Wizard blood had a unique composition. It held latent energy, something that didn't exist in Muggle blood. It wasn't mana, nor was it some unknown enzyme. It was magical energy, similar to what could be found in the blood of magical beasts.

"So the difference isn't in the genes, but in the blood itself…" he murmured to himself, watching as a drop of wizard blood reacted to a charm, emitting a faint golden glow.

This meant that magic wasn't simply inherited through DNA, but through the blood itself. It was a unique biological quality, though not genetic in the traditional sense.

Noah narrowed his eyes, processing the information.

Having chosen the Kemoyin's pupil technique during his reincarnation, Noah understood the concept of magical bloodlines.

He, even though his Elder Blood had the word "blood" in its name, was still just a unique Gene, not a true lineage.

Like the wizards of this world, Noah's magical energy circulated through his bloodstream—but in his case, it was due to his Mana Core pumping mana into his bloodstream, not because his blood was inherently magical.

Noah reviewed his notes as he meditated on his discovery.

That was when he remembered a method he had obtained before reincarnating: the Kemoyin Pupil Lineage Fusion Ritual. A technique designed to fuse a powerful bloodline with the body of the user, enhancing their potential and granting innate abilities.

The idea was tempting. If he could fuse with the bloodline of a powerful wizard or magical creature—like Merlin's descendants, dragons, or phoenixes—perhaps he could obtain a body capable of harmonizing magical blood and chakra without conflict.

However, after studying magical bloodlines, he came to a disappointing conclusion.

"They're too weak…" he murmured, looking over records of magical families like the Blacks, the Malfoys, and the Peverells, then at the lineages of dragons and unicorns.

Unlike Kekkei Genkai, which granted superhuman abilities, magical bloodlines offered no physical or energetic advantages beyond the natural use of magic. The magical blood of both wizards and magical creatures seemed to have degraded over the centuries, becoming more unstable and less powerful.

Fusing with such a bloodline would only serve to limit him.

Noah sighed and closed his notes.

"If I want to take advantage of this, I need to purify these bloodlines first."

Rather than absorb a weakened lineage, his new plan was to rebuild it from scratch—eliminating its flaws and amplifying its potential. If he could synthesize a pure, refined version of magical blood, he could create a new bloodline, one that would far surpass any existing wizard.

But before proceeding, he had to fully understand the nature of magical blood and how to strengthen it without causing instability.

A few days later, classes at Hogwarts would resume.

Noah knew his second year at Hogwarts would be more complicated. Dumbledore had already started to grow suspicious of him, which meant continuing to use the identity of Theodore Campbell was too risky.

Before leaving, he made sure to transfer his memories from the past year into Theodore, omitting any details about his research or secret activities. Then, he cast a deep sleep spell on him, leaving him in his room as if he had simply decided to sleep in.

With that covered, Noah headed to King's Cross Station with a new strategy in mind.

Upon arriving at the Hogwarts Express, he avoided drawing attention and quickly scanned the students in his year. He needed a new identity, one that wouldn't raise any red flags.

After observing several candidates, he identified a solitary boy—someone without a close group of friends and seemingly irrelevant enough that his absence wouldn't be noticed right away.

Taking advantage of a moment when the boy wandered away from the crowd, Noah immobilized him with a paralysis jutsu and discreetly dragged him to an empty compartment on the train.

"Legilimency."

He forced his way into the boy's mind, absorbing his memories and quickly understanding his story, relationships, and way of speaking within minutes.

Once he had everything he needed, he used the Transformation Jutsu to adopt his appearance. As a final touch, he cast a sleeping spell and placed him in the same capsule where Theodore Campbell had been held the previous year.

Now, with a new identity and the necessary information to act naturally, Noah prepared for another year at Hogwarts, making sure to stay off Dumbledore's radar while continuing with his plans.

During his second year at Hogwarts, Noah continued acting as Max Drake, his new identity, keeping a low profile while focusing on his studies. He appeared to be just another student in Ravenclaw—not standing out too much or catching Dumbledore's attention.

Meanwhile, his shadow clone operated in his secret lab in Tibet, focusing on his true objective: developing a method to purify magical bloodlines. Using the blood collected from both wizards and magical creatures, the clone analyzed magical blood patterns and experimented with ways to strengthen them.

Everything proceeded normally until the second year reached its climax: Harry Potter's confrontation with the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets.

Noah waited patiently for the outcome. He watched as Harry emerged victorious with the help of Fawkes, and as soon as the phoenix pulled him out of the crypt, Noah saw his chance.

Wasting no time, he teleported to the Chamber of Secrets and took possession of the Basilisk's corpse. He knew the immense value of this creature—its bloodline was one of the purest and most lethal in the magical world.

With his ability to travel between worlds temporarily disabled due to mana exhaustion, Noah decided to use the summer to deepen his research into bloodlines. His shadow clone was already analyzing the magical blood and the Basilisk's body, but Noah needed more samples to understand the link between magic and biology.

So, he went on a hunt.

Using a combination of spells, jutsus, and tactical intelligence, Noah dedicated himself to capturing magical creatures from various ecosystems. He began with lesser species around his lab in Tibet: Yetis, Diricawls, and Augureys.

Then, he stealthily traveled to magical reserves in Europe and Asia, infiltrating them to steal samples from rarer creatures.

After weeks of collecting samples from various magical creatures, Noah decided that his next target would be one of the most powerful and enigmatic species in the magical world: a Hungarian Horntail dragon. Its resilient scales, magic-infused blood, and impressive ability to manipulate fire made it a valuable specimen for his studies on magical bloodlines.

To capture it, Noah infiltrated a secret dragon reserve in Romania, where wizard tamers studied and cared for the creatures. By following the handlers, he found a young Horntail that had strayed from the rest. Measuring just under eight meters in length, it had not yet reached its full size, but that didn't make it any less dangerous.

Hidden in the canopy of a tree, Noah watched as the beast tore into the charred carcass of a deer.

Deciding to strike, Noah made his move.

"Glacius Maxima."

A blast of ice and frost burst from his outstretched hand, surging toward the dragon. The temperature dropped abruptly as a thick layer of frost coated the ground and part of the Horntail's scales.

The dragon roared, shaking its body to break the ice. Its golden eyes locked onto Noah.

The beast opened its jaws and unleashed a blazing stream of fire.

"Protego Diabolica!" Noah shouted.

A shield of blue fire erupted in front of him, devouring the dragon's flames before dissipating. Without giving it time to react, Noah formed a hand seal:

"Mokuton: Daijurin no Jutsu!"

His arm transformed into a mass of sharp roots that shot forward like spears toward the dragon. The Horntail responded immediately, beating its wings hard and soaring into the sky to evade the attack.

"Tch…" Noah clicked his tongue.

The dragon spun mid-air and dove at terrifying speed. Noah barely had time to respond.

"Doton: Doryūheki!"

A wall of stone rose just as the dragon's claws reached him. The creature crashed into the rock with a deafening roar, shattering it into a thousand pieces.

Taking advantage of the dust cloud, Noah waved his hand and whispered:

"Petrificus Totalus."

A magical wave shot forth, striking the dragon's right wing. The wing stiffened completely, throwing the Horntail off balance mid-flight.

The beast crashed to the ground with a furious roar, shaking the earth with its massive body. Noah wasted no time:

"Mokuton: Jukai Kōtan!"

An entire forest erupted from the ground, its twisted branches ensnaring the dragon's legs and neck. The creature tried to resist, unleashing bursts of fire that scorched several trees—but Noah was already upon it.
