Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: What Does the "Big" in Big V Teacher Mean? Winning Over Mobius

The "members" Chang Yuan mentioned naturally referred to Dr. Mei and Mobius. While their overall versatility might not surpass Vill-V's, in certain specific areas, they were absolutely on par with her.

Hearing this, Vill-V didn't show any fear. Instead, she seemed eager to meet these geniuses who could rival her.

"I'm somewhat looking forward to seeing just how talented these geniuses you mentioned are. I hope they don't end up being defeated by me in their own areas of expertise."

Because she was Vill-V, she had the confidence to say this. Because she was Vill-V, she believed she could do it.

"Then let's wait and see. I look forward to your performance, Big V Teacher."

"By the way, what exactly does 'Big V Teacher' mean? I can understand you calling me 'V Teacher,' but why add the 'Big'?"

This was something Vill-V had never been able to figure out.

Chang Yuan couldn't explain it outright, so he could only sigh inwardly, thinking that Vill-V still didn't fully understand her own capabilities.

"It's just a friendly nickname between friends. Don't worry about the details."

Waving his hand, Chang Yuan didn't dare to explain further. Otherwise, he might end up getting beaten up by Big V Teacher.

Although he was now completely unfazed by most conventional weapons, who knew what kind of bizarre gadgets Vill-V might come up with? What if she had something specifically designed to counter him?

After all, Vill-V always had a backup plan. For example, she had created the "Anti-Kevin Armament" just in case Kevin went out of control and needed to be dealt with.

Chang Yuan had reason to suspect that Vill-V was already secretly developing an "Anti-Chang Yuan Armament."

"Fine, I'll reluctantly accept that explanation. Now, hurry up and leave. I need to head back to the Twilight Corridor. Once I'm 90% confident, I'll come find you."

With that, Vill-V began shooing him away.

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Chang Yuan didn't linger any longer.

He waved goodbye to Vill-V and left.

After returning to Fire Moth, Chang Yuan began considering how to gather all the council members in one place.

His position as deputy captain wasn't enough to warrant such authority—not even Elysia's position as captain was sufficient.

Although Fire Moth was established by the highest authorities of various continents, giving the captain a relatively high status, it was still a position that could be easily granted or revoked by those in power.

In other words, it held no real authority. Summoning the council members would be nearly impossible unless he had something of great importance to discuss.

For now, Chang Yuan decided not to dwell on this issue and instead focused on building a good relationship with Mobius.

Of course, this was after he had given the Second Divine Key to Elysia.

"Hmm, this bow isn't very cute. It suits your handsome style more, Yuan."

Upon receiving the Second Divine Key, Elysia's first reaction was to complain that the bow didn't match her aesthetic as a beautiful girl.

Instead, it seemed more fitting for a boy like Chang Yuan.

"But my archery skills aren't great, so for now, you're the best fit for this bow."

"Fine, I'll make do with it for now. But does this bow have a name?"

"Hmm, how about 'Bow to Defy the Heavens'?"

"Mhm, I didn't know you were good at naming things. Let's call it 'Bow to Defy the Heavens.'"

Elysia was quite satisfied with the name.

Drawing the bow to defy the heavens—it perfectly captured the essence of their current mission to save the world.

After a brief conversation with Elysia, Chang Yuan left to find Mobius.

"Huh? Oh, it's Deputy Captain Chang Yuan. What brings you to Dr. Mobius's lab?"

Seeing Chang Yuan enter the lab, Blanca asked politely.

"I'm looking for Dr. Mobius. Do you know where she is?"

Seeing a familiar yet unfamiliar face, Chang Yuan smiled and asked.

"You're in luck. Dr. Mobius just finished several days of experiments and is now resting in her office. Go straight down this hallway, and her private office is at the end."

Hearing that Chang Yuan was here to see Mobius, Blanca was initially surprised but didn't ask for details.

She simply pointed him in the right direction.

After thanking Blanca with a nod, Chang Yuan headed straight for Mobius's office.

Knock, knock, knock!

"Who is it? Didn't I say not to disturb me during my rest?"

Before Chang Yuan could even open the door, he was met with Mobius's sharp reprimand.

This made Chang Yuan's mouth twitch.

However, Mobius soon added, "The door's unlocked. Come in, state your business, and then leave immediately."

With that, Chang Yuan opened the door and entered.

"Dr. Mobius, hello. I'm Deputy Captain Chang Yuan of the First Squad."

"Tsk, did you not hear what I said? State your business or leave. Don't waste my time."

Hearing this introduction, Mobius waved her hand impatiently.

Chang Yuan sighed inwardly. This wasn't the "good timing" Blanca had mentioned—it was more like walking straight into the line of fire.

"Dr. Mobius, if I told you that I understand 90% of the essence of the Honkai, would you still be so eager to send me away?"

After saying this, Chang Yuan locked eyes with Mobius.

Hearing this, Mobius, as a scientist, didn't immediately believe him. Instead, she frowned and studied him carefully.

"Are you willing to stake your life on that claim?"

"I can guarantee that at least 90% of what I say is true."

"...Alright, tell me. What do you want from me?"

Only then did Mobius set aside her initial impatience and treat Chang Yuan seriously.

"I want you to join me in saving humanity. But before that, we must remove the cancer within Fire Moth."

"...You should be glad my office isn't bugged. Otherwise, with that statement alone, you might not live to see tomorrow."

Hearing Chang Yuan's blunt words, Mobius's tone became unusually serious.

She knew exactly who and what Chang Yuan was referring to.

But precisely because she knew, she could say that Chang Yuan was being reckless.

To say such a thing was practically asking for death.

"In the future I've seen, humanity was utterly defeated. While those cancers weren't the primary cause, they bore a significant portion of the secondary responsibility.

To prevent that doomed future from coming to pass, I must eliminate those cancers before they can harm all of humanity.

That's why I've come to you, Dr. Mobius. You are one of my greatest allies."
