Chapter 11 - The Final War Begins

Once again,

The battlefield was quiet—but not with peace. It was the silence before thunder, the stillness before the storm.

For the nineteenth day, the Victoria Royal Army stood face-to-face with the Utopia forces. The same terrain, the same blood-stained soil… but something was different this time.

From the heart of the Utopia ranks, a dark presence emerged.

Azrael.

He walked with eerie calm, his cloak dragging behind him like a shadow made flesh. Beside him stood Lufi, her eyes burning with vengeance—but even her bloodlust paled in comparison to his presence. Azrael's aura twisted the very air around him—cold, heavy, suffocating. Veterans who had faced dozens of battles felt their knees tremble. His mere existence was a storm held back by will.

On the other side, hope radiated like a beacon.

Princess Yuhi, clad in ceremonial silver armor, led the Victoria Army. Her presence was light incarnate—pure, graceful, unwavering. The sun struck her flowing silver hair, casting dazzling reflections that shimmered like divine flame. She stood at the frontline, fearless, her gaze locked on the abyss across from her.

Beside her stood her most trusted:

Lucious Fang, Emma, William

And

Kai, silent as ever, his silver mask catching the sunlight, revealing nothing—and yet everything

Both armies waited. A heartbeat passed. Then another. Each second was a scream in silence.

This was not just another battle.

It was light versus shadow. Sunlight versus death.

As Princess Yuhi stood at the war front, the chill wind brushing against her armor, her thoughts drifted back to the strategy meeting from the night before.

Inside the royal tent, the atmosphere had been thick with tension. Crystal lamps glowed softly, casting flickering shadows across the map-strewn table. King Advert sat at the head, his expression stern. Emma stood nearby, her voice steady as she addressed the room.

"Just as I said before," she began, "a few days ago, Lufi was rescued during battle. The one who saved him… his aura was terrifying. Eyes blood-red, and his presence—cold, suffocating. He might be the one they call Azrael."

King Advert narrowed his eyes, "Azrael… If that's true, then tomorrow's battle could tip the balance of this war."

Lucious Fang gave a slow nod. "It's true. But we have a problem. Boros is still recovering from the last fight. And too many of our warriors are wounded."

Emma leaned forward, her tone resolute. "We don't have time to hesitate. If Azrael appears, we must be ready to face him directly."

Yuhi stepped forward, her voice calm but unwavering. "Then I'll face him. I won't hold back."

William, standing tall beside her, gave a faint smile. "You won't be alone, Princess. I'll fight beside you."

Lucious Fang's expression changed slightly. He hesitated for only a moment before speaking. "There is… one more person. Someone who might be able to stand against him."

King Advert looked at him sharply. "Who?"

"Alen,(kai)" Lucious said simply.

The room went silent.

King Advert furrowed his brow. "Alen? I've never heard of him."

Yuhi's voice was quiet, but filled with meaning. "He's a warrior of our kingdom. A silent force. No titles, no fame."

Lucious again said, he is the one who saved boros and me and killed gaint snake.

No one spoke for a while after that. Every person in that tent could feel it—tomorrow's battle wouldn't just be another day of war. It would be the moment everything changed.

The wind shifted.

Princess Emma, eyes focused on the enemy lines, suddenly turned to Yuhi and said, "Princess…what are you thinking"

Yuhi blinked, as if pulled from deep thought. Then her expression hardened. "Nothing."

With a breath of resolve, Yuhi stepped forward and raised her hand. Her voice rang across the field, clear and commanding.

"Charge!"

On the opposite side of the battlefield, Azrael's chilling presence darkened the air. He raised his hand and, in a voice that sounded like death itself, snarled, "Advance… kill them all."

The warriors of both kingdoms let out thunderous roars, the sound echoing across the valley. Swords raised, banners flying, the earth trembled beneath the feet of two mighty armies surging towards one another.

The final war had begun.

Scene Shift: Kingdom of Lumiya

Far from the battlefield, deep within the majestic palace of Lumiya, King Godfrey stood alone on his balcony. The morning air was crisp, and sun light fallen on ground, oblivious to the war waged miles away.

The door creaked open. Edward Hawk entered swiftly and bowed. "You summoned me, Your Majesty?"

King Godfrey didn't turn at first. His gaze remained fixed on the horizon, as though trying to pierce through distance and time.

"Yes," he finally said. "Come."

Edward stepped onto the balcony, standing beside the King in silence.

"It's been nineteen days since Yuhi left for Victoria," the King said, his voice heavy with unspoken concern. "And still… no word. Not a single message from the battlefield."

Edward placed a hand over his heart. "I understand your concern, but you must trust in her, my King. The princess is not someone who falls easily. She's strong… stronger than most realize."

The King gave a slow nod, but his expression did not soften.

Edward continued, lowering his voice, 'Don't worry, Your Majesty. I will send a few royal soldiers to Victoria to gather information.'

"But we have still another problem. Only eleven days remain… for the Red Moon night."

At that, King Godfrey finally turned his gaze to Edward. "You're right," he said quietly. "Whatever happens on that night… we must be prepared."

Scene Shift: Land of Vampires

In the heart of the cursed lands, where the sun never shined and shadows whispered secrets, stood a towering palace carved from obsidian. Inside its grand hall, draped in crimson velvet and stained glass, a throne of black and red loomed like a predator watching its prey.

Edric Bloodworth, the Vampire King, reclined upon it—his eyes glowing like blood under moonlight, his fingers lazily tapping the armrest. Around him stood his loyal elites, ancient vampires cloaked in dark armor and silence.

Edric's voice sliced through the silence like a blade.

"Only eleven days remain…"

The hall grew colder.

"…until the Red Moon rises."

A twisted smile curled on his lips as he rose to his feet, his shadow stretching unnaturally long behind him.

"The time of revenge draws near. The time of ruin. The night where the skies bleed and the world remembers our wrath."

He stepped forward, spreading his arms wide as if welcoming the chaos.

"That night… will be the last night for Lumiya."

His laughter echoed through the throne room—deep, monstrous, and filled with centuries of rage.
