"This Obadiah matter is nothing. Just let Tony Stark handle it!" Nick Fury shook his head as he spoke.
He couldn't believe Tony Stark wouldn't be able to deal with such a situation.
"Keep an eye on this Russian man named Vanko!" Nick Fury added. "Phil Coulson, when the time comes, you need to find a way to identify who this Vanko is, so we're not caught off guard."
"This man seems to be an old enemy of Tony Stark, the Iron Man," Fury continued. "He might even be another superpowered criminal."
Thinking about it, Nick Fury felt a headache coming on. Just as he finished dealing with one problem, another one appeared—another supervillain.
Even though Luo Chen's diary had finished recording for the day, and there were no further updates, everyone dispersed.
For Luo Chen, sunbathing and working were part of his daily routine. Since Tony Stark could no longer be expected to be kidnapped, Luo Chen knew he couldn't rely on that anymore either.
But to his surprise, Tony Stark didn't come to his door.
It puzzled him because this wasn't typical of Tony Stark's usual style. After seeing Luo Chen's true appearance that day, Tony Stark, with his impulsive nature, would never let it slide. He would have made a move by now.
But despite this, the reality was that Tony didn't show up. Though Luo Chen was confused, he didn't care much about it.
A few days later, Luo Chen saw breaking news on TV.
There had been a massive shift in Stark Group's equity. Obadiah, the second-largest shareholder, was suddenly exposed for corruption, and he was even summoned by New York's prosecutor.
Everyone involved was taken into custody.
And who was there to take charge of the company? None other than Tony Stark.
Shortly afterward, even smaller news outlets revealed the shocking details. Tony Stark had launched a surprise attack during a shareholder meeting, decisively taking down Obadiah.
The raid had been swift and unexpected.
Everyone knew about the strong relationship between Obadiah and Tony Stark, so no one expected them to turn on each other.
If ordinary people were shocked by the turn of events, Luo Chen was completely stunned.
He knew they would eventually turn against each other, but he never imagined it would unfold this way. It was completely different from what he had envisioned.
Shouldn't they have had an epic confrontation instead?
Luo Chen's understanding of this timeline was becoming increasingly baffling. It was getting more and more unpredictable.
He decided it was time to be extra cautious—after all, it was hard to say when he might get caught up in all of this.
At that moment, in Tony Stark's mansion in New York, Tony Stark collapsed into a chair, exhausted. He had just finished dealing with the Obadiah situation.
Obadiah's arrest was huge. There were so many complications and people involved in this mess.
In addition to bringing Obadiah to justice, Tony had to handle various inquiries and pressures from the government, Congress, and even the market. On top of that, he had to manage internal turmoil within the company. It was a full-body workout, so to speak.
But it had to be done. Obadiah had become a cancer in the company, and if Tony didn't act, the entire organization would be dragged into the ground by him.
It was mentally and physically draining.
Just then, Tony's phone rang. It was a video call.
He looked at the screen, and his heart sank when he saw the large face of Obadiah appear.
Obadiah was wearing a massive suit of battle armor and holding someone in his hand. It was none other than Pepper Potts.
"Tony, I didn't expect it would be me!" Obadiah said with a smirk. "Heh, thanks to you, I've been going through a rough patch lately!"
"Obadiah!" Tony Stark jumped to his feet, his face dark with fury. "What do you want from me?"
Tony Stark glared at Obadiah with an expression of utter disdain.
"It's simple. I want to get back everything I've lost!" Obadiah replied coldly. "Tony, I never expected you would betray me and send me to prison with your own hands!"
"Heh, Obadiah, you colluded with the Afghan warlords to have me killed. Do you think I don't know?" Tony sneered. "You wanted to kill me, and I sent you straight to prison. That's how things work now."
"I treated you well! I treated you like an uncle since I was a kid!" Tony continued, his voice shaking with emotion. "I thought we were family, but I never expected you would want to kill me!"
"Family?" Obadiah sneered. "Why 'family'? The Stark Group was founded by your father and me, not just the Stark family."
"After your father died, I kept the Stark Group alive by myself. And you? You spent your time chasing girls, sleeping with young models, studying for a Ph.D., playing adventure games. Have you ever managed the company?" Obadiah said coldly. "The true soul of this company has always been me, not you, Tony Stark!"
