In the critical moment, Tony Stark recalled something from his diary. Luo Chen had repeatedly mentioned his desire to make money and had even used his own kidnapping as a way to profit.
It was clear that Luo Chen was deeply interested in money. However, this couldn't be labeled as greed. After all, Luo Chen had the strength to do much more, yet he had not resorted to using that power for evil or to gain excessive benefits.
He had avoided becoming the super-criminal he could have easily become, which was rare in itself.
Still, it was evident that Luo Chen loved money, and loved it quite a bit.
"Ten million dollars!" Luo Chen's eyes lit up. Using Tony Stark's kidnapping to make a fortune—around ten million dollars—was a lucrative deal.
Now, with tens of millions already on the table, he could only confirm one thing: the best money in the world often came from robbery.
Luo Chen didn't doubt that Tony Stark would lie to him. There was simply no need for that.
"That's right, it's ten million dollars!" Tony Stark confirmed, struggling to speak through the intense pain in his body.
"Good, leave this matter to me!" Luo Chen said, grinning.
"Where did this bedbug come from? You're looking for death!" Obadiah sneered coldly, immediately launching an attack as he swung a powerful punch at Luo Chen.
With this punch, even an elephant would have been smashed to the ground.
But in the next second, Obadiah's eyes widened in shock. As his fist from the Iron Overlord struck Luo Chen, he saw Luo Chen calmly extend a single finger, blocking the devastating punch with ease.
Clang!
The sound of metal striking metal echoed through the air.
The punch, which had been so powerful, had no effect.
"Iron Overlord... still as unattractive as ever!" Luo Chen remarked with a smile. "Have you ever heard the saying that strength is only temporary and changes with the version upgrade, but being handsome is for life?"
Luo Chen paused for a moment, looking at Obadiah with disdain. "Forget it. I have no common ground with an ugly guy like you."
Before Obadiah could react, Luo Chen was already upon him, moving in an instant.
"You're looking for death!" Obadiah roared, furious. He was enraged by Luo Chen's mockery and knew exactly what he meant—a direct insult.
Obadiah launched another punch, aiming for Luo Chen's head.
But Luo Chen simply relaxed, forming a fist with all five fingers and meeting the blow head-on.
Boom!
A massive explosion echoed through the air. As Obadiah screamed in agony, the entire arm of the Iron Overlord was obliterated. The high-energy alloy that composed the arm was no match for Luo Chen's strength.
Without wasting a moment, Luo Chen landed another lightning-fast punch, driving it straight into the Iron Overlord's stomach. The force was so intense that it punched through the armor and into the massive body, causing it to crumble.
Obadiah, who was trapped inside, was instantly killed as the Iron Overlord fell apart.
The once-imposing Iron Overlord, which had just moments ago been torturing Tony Stark, was now reduced to scrap metal, destroyed by Luo Chen as if it had met its ultimate nemesis.
"This..." Tony Stark could barely comprehend what had just happened. He had expected Luo Chen to be strong, but nothing in his analysis of the man had prepared him for what he had just witnessed.
Though he had done some research on Luo Chen's strength, this moment completely surpassed all of his expectations.
Tony knew exactly how powerful and difficult it had been to face the Iron Overlord. Earlier, he had been rendered powerless against the sheer might of Obadiah's machine.
Tony had used the Mark II armor to amplify his own strength, but in terms of raw power, the Iron Overlord was undeniably superior. When it came to speed, the Iron Overlord was no slouch either.
In a direct confrontation, Tony's lightweight armor was no match for the massive Iron Overlord.
Yet, he had no plans to change the design of his armor. After all, he agreed with Luo Chen's words—strength was temporary, and he could always upgrade his armor to improve it. But looking good? That was important for life.
Tony's mind was racing. After seeing the power that had just been displayed, he immediately thought of creating an armor specifically designed to fight these gigantic foes. He could already envision a series of anti-monster armors.
But nothing could prepare him for the punch that had obliterated the Iron Overlord. That display of power far exceeded the limits of anything Tony had imagined for Luo Chen's strength.
And judging by Luo Chen's calm demeanor, it was clear he hadn't even used his full strength yet.
The sheer combat prowess Luo Chen had shown so far was enough to terrify anyone.
Tony couldn't help but wonder: if he ever became an enemy of Luo Chen, how could he possibly defeat someone with such monstrous power? Was there even an alloy in the world that could withstand a punch like that?
He began to fear that no material could survive Luo Chen's strength.
Luo Chen had achieved this inhuman level of power in the brief time since he had arrived in this world—through a so-called time-traveling event. Yet he remained deeply concerned about potential future crises.
What could possibly have happened in the future to make this seemingly invincible figure so worried?
