Observing the overwhelming water dragons surging towards him, Hanzō, defeated by Yuta, retreated swiftly, drawing his kusarigama. After creating some distance, he yelled,
"Doton: Dorokuheki!"
A wall of earth erupted from the surface of the glacier, shielding Yuta behind it.
Hanzō regarded the seemingly fragile earth barrier with a look of sarcasm.
"I had thought the Konoha Silver Fox was a truly formidable opponent, but it appears his reputation is inflated. I foolishly underestimated you. Very well, you shall perish here today!"
"Boom!" The densely packed water dragons crashed into the earth wall protecting Yuta. The resulting water mist enveloped the entire battlefield, obscuring vision. When the mist finally dissipated, Hanzō was shocked to see the earth wall, battered but still standing.
"How could it be…? I never anticipated such mastery of Earth Release from someone in Konohagakure!"
Gazing at the section of the wall whose color was distinctly different from ordinary Earth Release, Hanzō instantly understood.
This was the hue produced by the extreme elemental transformation of Earth Release chakra. 'No wonder it could withstand such a powerful ninjutsu,' he exclaimed inwardly with genuine surprise.
"Not good!" Hanzō's instincts screamed. He swung the sickle behind him.
"Clang!" Yuta used his tantō's scabbard to steadily block Hanzō's sickle, then his form dissolved into a puff of smoke.
"Kage Bunshin! Not good!"
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" Hanzō immediately formed the necessary hand seals and summoned his personal summoning beast, Ibuse the Salamander.
Witnessing Hanzō summon his powerful ally, Yuta, who was preparing another surprise attack, grew even more serious. This was the complete display of the ninja world's "demigod," signaling that Hanzō intended to end the battle decisively.
Yuta shared the same sentiment. The Uzumaki clan head and the Great Elder were elderly, and prolonged engagement carried significant risks.
Although he couldn't reveal his Jiton kekkei genkai yet (a consequence of his past encounters with the daimyō's forces), Yuta in his standard state was still capable of a swift victory.
"Whoosh!!" Ibuse the Salamander spewed a large volume of poisonous mist, instantly engulfing Yuta's position.
Hanzō stood atop Ibuse, observing the area shrouded in the lethal fog downwind.
Suddenly, an idea struck Hanzō, and he swung his sickle behind him.
"Clang!" Yuta's tantō was intercepted by Hanzō's kusarigama.
"As expected of a demigod, truly impressive." Yuta praised.
Hanzō scowled. "You have a penchant for attacking from behind, child."
Yuta smiled. "The same could be said of your affinity for poison, wouldn't you agree?"
"Clang, clang, clang!" Yuta rapidly wielded his tantō, engaging Hanzō in close combat atop the massive salamander.
"You were just within that poisonous fog. It's impossible you didn't inhale any of it. You won't be able to endure for long," Hanzō stated while parrying Yuta's relentless attacks.
Yuta sneered. "Don't worry, I assure you I will sever your head before that poison takes hold."
After over a decade of rigorous training and enhancements, Yuta's physicalcapabilities— strength, speed, and reactiontime— far surpassed Hanzō's.
Gradually, Hanzō began to falter, the hand gripping his sickle starting to tremble.
'What is wrong with this child? How can he possess such formidable physical prowess?' Hanzō thought anxiously.
His plan was to force Yuta off Ibuse first, then combine their efforts to defeat him. Yuta's taijutsu was too strong, and his swordsmanship was on par with his own.
In a prolonged close-quarters battle, Hanzō knew he would be at a significant disadvantage.
Before he could execute his next maneuver, he suddenly saw a dangerous smile spread across Yuta's face, and a shiver ran down his spine.
Abruptly, Yuta locked his tantō against Hanzō's sickle, raising the index and middle fingers of his free hand.
"Fūton: Shinkūha!"
A focused blast of compressed air shot directly towards Hanzō's face.
Close-range output ofninjutsu— who had ever encountered someone like Yuta, capable of seamlessly executing ninjutsu in the midst of close combat?
Hanzō was caught completely off guard and struck directly by the Vacuum Wave. Before he could recover, Yuta's speed increased dramatically, and he slashed his tantō towards Hanzō's neck.
Forced to evade, Hanzō executed several backward leaps, disengaging from Yuta and jumping off Ibuse's back.
Hanzō, his face grim, glared murderously at Yuta, who stood smiling atop the salamander.
"Little brat! It's far too early for you to celebrate!"
Suddenly, Ibuse began to dive rapidly beneath the fractured glacier.
'I've been prepared for this trick of yours!' Yuta, having knowledge from the original timeline, was well aware that once Ibuse had only one enemy remaining on its back, it would attempt to submerge and force them off.
"But there is no time for games now, so please be quiet for a while!" Yuta said to the descending salamander beneath him.
Yuta brought his hands together, then opened his right palm.
"Fūinjutsu: Shishō Fūin!" The Four Symbols Seal was performed by Yuta himself. The curse marks instantly spread from the top of Ibuse's head, and following Yuta's guidance, rapidly covered the entirety of the salamander's body.
"Asshole, what did you do to Ibuse?" Yuta's movements might have appeared deliberate, but he actually completed the seal on the salamander in a fraction of a second.
Observing Ibuse, now lying limp on the ground, its entire body seemingly paralyzed by the curse marks, Hanzō instantly became agitated.
"This one was far too troublesome; best to silence him." Yuta offered a placid smile, though his thoughts raced: 'Perhaps I should acquire my own summoning contract? Otherwise, facing such enormous opponents in the future, especially in two-on-one situations, will be excessively difficult.'
Witnessing Yuta's nonchalant demeanor, Hanzō concluded that his summoning beast had been neutralized and erupted in fury.
"Then you shall be buried alongside Ibuse! You little…"
Before he could finish his sentence, a powerful gust of wind struck his face, and a tantō descended from above his head. The immense pressure forced Hanzō to swallow the rest of his words.
"Clang!"
"Crack!"
Two distinct sounds echoed almost simultaneously. Hanzō had managed to block Yuta's tantō with his kusarigama, but the opponent's overwhelming arm strength pressed down relentlessly, causing the glacier beneath his feet to crack audibly!
"I already informed you that you engage in excessive unnecessary chatter!"
"Crack!" A loud, muffled sound resonated, and ice fragments erupted from beneath Hanzō's feet.
The sheer force exerted by Yuta forced Hanzō downwards, embedding half of his calf into the solid glacier! The impact made Hanzō believe his leg had been fractured.
"Buzz!" A high-speed rotating chakra sphere suddenly materialized in Yuta's other hand, the Wind Release chakra affixed to its side spinning rapidly, audibly cutting through the surrounding air.
Hanzō was exerting all his strength to block the tantō above him, but before he could react, Yuta slammed the spinning chakra sphere into his abdomen.
Struck head-on by Yuta's Rasengan, Hanzō could no longer maintain his footing.
"Boom!" The tremendous power directly propelled Hanzō off the icy surface. He flew more than ten meters through the air before crashing to the ground and tumbling several times.
Observing Hanzō lying motionless in the icy depression, Yuta sensed his condition. Within his chakra network, Hanzō's abdominal meridians had been severed in multiple places.
While they could potentially be healed later, the recovery process would be lengthy.
Seeing that Hanzō had completely lost his ability to fight, Yuta swiftly approached him.
Hanzō was still conscious, staring at Yuta with wide, unwilling eyes.
"You little brat, you have won. Kill me now!"
He was filled with resentment! He loathed this child for his perceived lack of martial honor, for resorting to ttrickery, and attacking an elder like himself. Who would suddenly employ ninjutsu to the face during a taijutsu engagement? This child had not only done it once but twice.
Yuta ignored his bitter words, opening his right hand and pressing it directly onto Hanzō's abdomen.
"Fūinjutsu: Gogyō Fūin!"
When Hanzō witnessed Yuta's actions, he understood the intention to capture him alive.
However, he no longer possessed even the strength to commit suicide and succumbed to unconsciousness, overwhelmed by rage.
"Hah! Finally dealt with one!" Yuta looked at the unconscious Hanzō, then turned his attention towards the ongoing battle where the Uzumaki clan head was engaged.
