She was standing with her friend Nancy, both laughing about something.
I paused for a moment, just to admire her from a distance. She looked absolutely radiant tonight. Her dress was simple yet elegant, hugging her curves perfectly, and her hair was pulled back into a stylish updo that framed her face beautifully.
I couldn't help but feel lucky to be part of her life. And deep down, I hoped that someday… maybe we could be more than just friends.
Taking a deep breath, I approached them, offering Camila a friendly smile.
"Hey, guys," I said, trying to sound casual.
Camila turned to me, her eyes lighting up the second she saw me.
"Henry! It's so great to see you," she said, wrapping her arms around me in a tight hug. "I'm so glad you were able to make it."
"I wouldn't have missed it for the world," I replied, my heart fluttering at her embrace.
