His face went pale but he received a powerful kick sending him tumbling down on the ground

'How In hell am I going to win this fight'

'I just wanted to continue my normal life of going to school and stuuf,I'm a coward,I lie,I don't like showing myself,I do to even have interest In academics,I'm not suited for any of this, but I'm not someone who throws their life away either'

Rayne continued to walk around the metal hallway,he was calm and was ready to defend himself if anything came

A boy them came looking exactly like him except that his right eye was missing but covered with an eye patch the boy smiled eerily and said "You finally made it,little bro"

Before Rayne could shoot his arrows a knife had been sent to his left shoulder. Rayne's breath hitched as the blade sank into his shoulder. He staggered back, gripping the wound, his fingers coming away slick with blood.

Zayn grinned at him, his single eye gleaming with amusement. His expression was twisted, like he was enjoying this.

"Still quick on the draw, huh?" Zayn mused, tilting his head. "But not quick enough."

Rayne exhaled slowly, steadying himself. The pain didn't matter. What mattered was figuring out what Zayn was doing here.

"Why are you here?" Rayne asked, his voice calm.

Zayn's grin widened. "I could ask you the same thing."

He took a step closer, and that's when Rayne noticed it.

Zayn's movements, too unnatural. His skin, paler than before, his veins faintly dark. And then the worst sign of all,the wound on his face from their last fight was still there, half-healed but not fading.

Rayne's stomach sank.

"You're a zombie."

Zayn laughed. "Took you long enough."

Rayne pulled back his bow instantly, but Zayn was faster. In the blink of an eye, he closed the distance, grabbing the arrow mid-flight before it could even touch him.

Rayne's eyes widened.

"You're too slow, little brother," Zayn whispered before slamming his fist into Rayne's stomach.

Rayne crashed into the metal wall, but he forced himself up just as fast. He ignored the way his body screamed at him, ignored the blood dripping down his arm.

This wasn't the brother he once knew.

"How?" Rayne demanded. "Who did this to you?"

Zayn just tilted his head. "Does it matter?" His lips curled into something almost like a smirk. "I feel great."

Rayne clenched his teeth. "You're a monster."

Zayn stepped forward. "And you aren't?"

Rayne stayed silent.

Zayn chuckled. "Come on, Rayne. Don't act like you haven't killed before. Don't act like you don't enjoy it."

Rayne fired another arrow without hesitation.

Zayn didn't dodge. He let the arrow pierce through his hand—then pulled it out like it was nothing.

Rayne's grip on his bow tightened.

Zayn grinned, stepping closer, his voice lowering. "Face it, little bro. We're both killers."

Rayne's heart pounded. He wasn't sure if it was from anger or something worse.

Zayn spread his arms. "So? What are you gonna do?"

Rayne inhaled sharply. Then, in a low voice, he said:

"I'll put you down."

Zayn's grin widened. "Good."

And then he attacked.

Rayne's mind flashed back to the time where Zayn had killed their parents, and the time he killed zayn, how was he still alive

'This is no time for emotions,I abandoned that years ago'

He increased the quantity of the fire and shot the arrow at Zayn but he dodged everything easily

'My attacks aren't working,I need to do something else'
