One after another, hundreds of canines jumped on the Hibiki and started biting and scratching it.
The damage from those bites was pathetic, but the sheer number of canines on the Hibiki was enough to push the damage down to three-fourths of its health.
The massive black snake screamed for the first time.
Then, some mist started coming out of its body as it began to shrink.
Forsyx flew high with a knife in his hand. Other players also started moving closer to the battle.
Hibiki the snake hissed one more time, and then it started shrinking. The massive 30-meter snake halved its size.
It even went from 2 meters wide to less than a meter—a thin, slim body compared to before.
Even though the snake was still massive, it was no longer the behemoth it used to be.
Well, the interesting part was that the snake wasn't the only one to shrink—even the red fox shrank to barely 3 meters in size.
Both beasts screamed at each other, but this time, a lot of players screamed too, rushing toward them.
Hibiki, for the first time, looked at the players and in the next moment whipped its tail toward them.
Pat!!
The loud whip-crack echoed as all the nearby trees snapped, and a chunk of players died on the spot.
The snake didn't stop there as it dove toward the red fox's leg.
The red fox barely managed to jump to the side, but the canines behind it weren't so lucky—Hibiki bit a chunk of them while crushing another bunch who were too slow to react.
Looking at this massive snake slithering around the ground reminded him of the extra dexterity the snake template had.
Even at this size, the way it moved and controlled every part of its body was nothing short of mesmerizing to him.
He shook his bird head and focused on the fight. He noticed a certain group of players targeting the center of the snake's body.
Well, he understood the reason—after all, the center would always be the last part to move. They did manage to land multiple solid hits, but too bad—the snake had extra-thick scales at the center of its body.
He only saw Lucami and Kos leaving some deep marks; others at most were leaving just scratches.
There were nearly a thousand players around the battlefield. Some of them dared to go in, only to die.
Others just focused on dealing with the dogs.
These guys were just a scattered mess, not much help in the fight.
He stopped caring about others and just focused on both the red fox and Hibiki, both trying to go for each other's weaknesses, but so far, unsuccessful.
Well, he couldn't let them continue like that—after all, the red fox was slashing at Hibiki's eyes.
He calmly dropped his knife right on top of Hibiki's head.
A small white bird carrying a knife above them was so insignificant that neither of them reacted.
Cooooo!
With a scream, he dove straight down alongside the knife.
3 meters… 2 meters… 1 meter… 30 centimeters…. With less than an inch between them, Forsyx said, "Switch to human."
The next second, to both beasts' surprise, a human suddenly appeared in front of them.
Before they could react, he thrust the entire knife downward with all his falling momentum, just above the snake's nose.
Chunk! Punch!
He heard the scales breaking, then the familiar feeling of stabbing into soft flesh.
But that was just the start. As he held the knife with both hands, his weight guided the blade to slide down, slicing through the upper mouth tissue of the snake.
The moment the knife came out, a big splash of cold blood hit his entire body.
Hissssssssss!!
The snake started rolling in pain.
But not stopping there, he threw his knife toward the red fox while mid-air and, the next second, was back in his now blood-covered red bird form.
With a few flaps of his wings, he cleared off a lot of the blood and rushed straight toward the knife.
The red fox, already seeing the danger, jumped to the side to dodge.
But the little bird was already between the blade and the fox.
The next moment, Forsyx switched to human with his hand already gripping the knife.
He felt the blade in his hand and then turned, stabbing the knife deeper into the red fox's side.
Awoooooooo!
The fox screamed in pain as the knife sliced through its side. It finally stopped at the thick hip muscle.
Forsyx pulled the knife out and started falling toward the ground, but once again, he switched to the piper bird and started flying toward the red fox's head.
It stared at him with deep hatred, growling.
It even tried to slash with its paw—too bad this bird form was too small and agile to be hit by such random swipes.
He easily flew up to the fox's head and, switching back to human, stabbed the knife into its head.
Awoooo!
The fox screamed, but before it could react, he pulled the knife out and threw it toward the enormous snake.
All this with a wide smile on his face.
Hibiki hissed at him in anger, but in the next moment, he slashed both side-scales that held its mouth.
Hibiki's jaw sagged open.
Then Forsyx, still in his human form, stared directly into the snake's eyes and started laughing. "Hahaha!"
The next moment, he started stabbing right below the snake's eyes.
The snake tried to dig its head into the ground, but Forsyx then slashed right below its jaw where the scales were thinnest. The blade slid through, cutting past the scales.
Hissssss!
The snake started rolling on the ground, but Forsyx was already in his pipler bird form—flying toward the red fox.
He was like that annoying mosquito, just with a dangerous blade in hand.
The red fox started shrinking while Forsyx's laughter echoed across the battlefield.
"Haha!"
He was so engrossed in his fun that he didn't notice the absolute silence around him.
From noob players to pros, even the canines—all of them looked at the absurdity in front of them in shock.
The behemoths that had been crushing them just moments ago were now shrinking and screaming in fear.
The laugh of the mad bird-man etched itself into many minds that day.
