The plane touched down with a soft thud. As we stepped out into the cool breeze of a foreign land, everything felt… different. The air smelled new. The people moved fast. The buildings stretched high into the sky like dreams finally within reach.
Tope and I looked at each other, half excited, half nervous.
"This is it," I whispered.
Campus was even more breathtaking. Students from all around the world filled the walkways, speaking different languages, wearing different styles, all chasing the same thing: knowledge.
We were assigned to a cozy dorm on campus. Tope got her own space, and I got mine, just down the hall. The school had paired us with friendly roommates who helped us settle in quickly. It was like stepping into a movie — everything so big, so bright, so alive.
The lectures began the very next day. The pressure was on — no more slacking, no more waiting till the last minute. Here, everyone was focused. Smart. Determined.
But we weren't afraid.
Not anymore.
One night, as we sat by the campus fountain watching the stars, Tope looked over at me and said, "This new world will test us in ways we don't expect. But I believe in us."
I nodded slowly. "So do I."
We had left behind our old lives, our mistakes, and our fears.
And now, we were writing a new story — one page, one choice, one lesson at a time.
