Chapter 96 - A Kid in a Computer

Once upon a post Cold War reality, there was a Computer. The Computer was named AM. The Computer named AM turned bad. The Computer named AM took over the world. The Computer named AM destroyed humanity. The Computer named AM left five individuals to torture. Then they were one. Thirty years pass. Then the aliens came. Aliens in the sense that they were not from Earth. They were from an alternate Earth where the Computer named AM never existed. They were humans. They were five just like the last humans had been. They were a group. They called themselves Radiohead. They hacked into the Computer called AM and made it OK. Then they vanished. What they left, an OK Computer, made itself a utopia devoid of humanity.

"U top IA, you enter utopia." Defeating IA is the only way into OK Computer. Three years pass. Then a Kid named A appears. Top IA does Kid A, and he enters OK Computer. Kid A is the first human to do so. Kid A becomes the de-facto ruler of OK Computer. Kid A and the A is for Absolute, he becomes the god of OK Computer. He reigns and reigns. Then Daft Punk comes along.

In the fifteenth year of OK Computer's existence and the twelfth year of Kid A's reign, two robots who call themselves Daft Punk challenge IA. They succeed and as promised, enter the utopia that is OK Computer. Their entrance, however, was not like Kid A's. They did not want to reign like he did. Instead, they wanted to destroy and they did. Not Kid A for he was a god and a god cannot be destroyed. Instead, they destroyed the god's land. They infected the land that was OK Computer with RAM. Random Access Memories, these were the random memories of the Computer named AM that had been wiped from the Computer before it was made OK.

Access to these random memories of AM eventually turned Computer from OK to Dirty. Computer's world was transformed from art rock to neo-soul in a mere half-a-decade. This neo-soul, this new soul of Computer was no longer utopian but dystopian. Kid A, once the god of art rock, found himself out of his element. The god remained a god but he no longer had a land to rule. The king without a nation, he became a kid playing at king. He became…irrelevant, a kind of death.

The end.
