Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: Returning to Mondstadt and Drawing a Crowd

At first, Kael had left the remaining frozen boars untouched to avoid a fight with the Great Snowboar King.

But now that the Snowboar King was dead—

There was no reason to hold back.

Kael had Amber melt the rest of the ice blocks, and using the same method as before, he took down every single remaining frozen boar.

Eight frozen boars, plus one Great Snowboar King.

Kael checked his System Panel and saw he'd earned 180 Attribute Points.

Tsk tsk tsk.

The Snowboar King and the frozen boars were clearly not on the same level—

Yet the System had handed out the same points for all of them.

What a cheapskate.

Noticing Amber's lips had turned purplish from the cold, Kael urged her to glide down the mountain first.

Amber knew she wasn't in the best shape right now and worried she might become a burden to Kael.

"I'll wait for you at the base of Dragonspine! You have to come find me, okay?"

After confirming it with Kael several times and getting his promise, Amber—for once—obediently left.

The weight of all those boars was nothing to someone with the Born with Great Strength talent.

The problem was their size. Each boar was enormous—especially the Snowboar King, which was practically the size of a full-grown elephant.

Kael spent some time thinking and eventually figured out how to carry them all back in one go.

"Wh-What the...???"

The Knights of Favonius stationed at Mondstadt's gates were stunned speechless at the sight in front of them.

The traveler who'd just arrived in town yesterday—

Was now carrying eight fat, hulking boars strapped across his body, and holding one gigantic beast high over his head.

Holy crap.

This traveler was stupidly strong.

The knights had never seen anything like it in their lives.

And so, this was how Kael made his way across half of Mondstadt—

With nearly ten tons of boar meat strapped to him.

And yet, to him, it was light as a feather.

The only issue was that the massive bulk tied all over his body made it a little hard to move.

Still, Kael finally made it back to the city.

He was headed to Angel's Share Tavern to deliver the goods—

But ran into a new problem halfway there.

The Snowboar King he was carrying over his head was just too big.

It got stuck in one of the alleyways and couldn't pass through!

Left with no choice, Kael dragged everything over to a spot near the city gates and unloaded the boars.

He turned to Amber, who had been quietly walking by his side this whole time.

"Can you run to Angel's Share for me? Tell the bartender I've brought the frozen boars back, and to come check the goods here."

"No problem!"

While Amber went off to deliver the message, the townsfolk began to gather, drawn by the commotion.

"Oh my gosh, are those wild boars!? I've never seen ones this big in my life!"

"I've seen something like this in a book before—that's a Great Snowboar King!"

"Really?! The Great Snowboar King? Isn't that a legendary creature?"

"It has to be! When have you ever seen a boar that big!?"

A good number of people had seen Kael enter the city earlier, and were still reeling from the image of him casually hoisting that monstrosity.

Someone stepped forward and asked,

"Mister, are you a Knight of Favonius? Or a member of the Adventurers' Guild?"

Kael smiled.

"Neither. I'm just a hunter."
