"Yes, young master" one of the bodyguards nodded his head, and went after Gang Xin.
Gang Xin, albeit shocked by the Foundation Cleansing Pill's price, never had any intention to buy it. He was only here to scout the market, and compare final prices.
Thus, he immediately headed down.
Well, at least he was able to find another task. To teach that Gin Cue a lesson.
Gang Xin's eyes grew cold, as he headed out.
...
After searching and scouting prices for a while, he finally decided on this inconscpicuous shop. When he first saw it, he almost didn't believe it was still open, or that people visited it.
However, he did sense a person coming out for a cigarette, and the person also sensed pretty fearsome. Thus, he decided to take a look.
The price there turned out to be less than the market's, albeit it was of suspicious origin. Another advantage was that it also sold a variety of goods, encouraging for him to take his next step.
"Is the owner still here?" Gang Xin asked as he pushed open the wooden door. The previous slightly pleasant yet also musty smell of the shop persisted.
"Yes. Did you come here to buy or waste time like before?" the annoyed voice rang out. The owner of the voice was a 30ish looking man with a stubble for a beard, and shades donned on his eyes.
He was sitting back leisurely, in a very relaxed manner too. He didn't even get up to look at Gang Xin.
"I'm here to buy, buy" Gang Xin said, and then continued to ask "Is the previous price still available?"
"That's good then. Yeah, it's available" the annoyed voice slightly became more pleasant, yet the man still didn't get up.
"Well, I'm here to make a barter." Gang Xin said confidently.
"Shoo, barters aren't accepted" the voice that had become slightly pleasant immediately turned for the worse again. His hands also waved in the air, expressing his annoyance.
'Wait, wait. Listen to my deal at least. I think it will be advantageous to you boss" as Gang Xin said this, he unsheathed his sword.
Right now, he looked like he was about to fight.
"Oh? Are you threatening me?" the laidback voice said as he got up. Although the shades remained, Gang Xin could feel that the man's face was amused, but like a tiger playing with its prey.
"Of course not boss. Here, how about this treasured sword for 3 stalks of Violet Yerins, and 3 pairs of eyes of the Demon Beast Fire Rooted Fox's eyes? You know my sword is a heirloom" Gang Xin said sternly and also retrieved the sheath.
His previous sword drawing could almost be seen as preparing to attack, but now, it was alike that of giving the sword with both hands - a sign of respect.
"Oh-- you want to trade it with three pairs of these?" the man got the sword from Gang Xin.
And then, he said while stroking his chin "No chance. Their market price might be the same, but the rarity of Violet Yerins has gone higher. I'll only give you 2 stalks"
He might have been smiling, but his tone was final.
"Okay. But give me 2 silver as compensation" Gang Xin didn't try to haggle for more ingredients and offered money compensation instead.
"Alright." The man nodded. Since a Violet Yerin had a price of 5 silvers, 2 silver wasn't much to give away.
As for Gang Xin, he happily accepted the trade.
After all, he was a bare hands martial artist, not really a sword user. The treasured sword that could slay demon beasts in others hands were nothing but just another weapon to him.
However, with these two ingredients, he could possibly reset his cultivation and then begin anew with the new one.
"What's your name sir?" Gang Xin asked as he took the bag of ingredients.
"Cung. They call me the Lush Viper" the man said carefreely, as if not minding others to learn his name.
...
'My first step now should be to head to a safe place. However, I should get rid of this tracker now' this was Gang Xin's thought as he went and blended into the market.
Then, it was almost as if his entire presence transformed from an ink drop on white paper, to a green plant in a forest.
Gang Xin had perfectly utilized his outside background of a crowd to mimic people's movements, and also hide behind from certain perspectives.
Of course, this would be child's play in front of experts, however, was this bodyguard of Gin Cue an expert? He was a babysitter at best.
"Tsk, trying to track me?" Gang Xin snickered as he made way to the city's training center.
However, he didn't go to the one near the clan estate since he was trying to hide his identity, and maintain privacy. After all, he couldn't shake off the possibility of that Gin Cue found some way to track him.
Hence, he arrivated at the North-western section's Long Wind street. This street was mainly controlled by the Yu family and was considered to be one of the most prosperous places in the city.
Here, the prices of things might be a bit higher, but he should be far away from the influences of both the Gang and the Gin clans.
"One Advanced cultivation room please." Gang Xin said to the receptionist.
"Alright, that will be 50 copper per hour sir" the receptionist was a fairly beautiful girl, but Gang Xin didn't pay an extra glance before he paid the price.
He was planning on spending the entire 2 silver he got from the Lush Viper Cung to rent this room for 4 hours.
To a mere initial stage Form Fighter like him, 2 silvers for a training room was an extravagent waste. Even a late stage Form Fighter, which meant having cultivated to at least the 8 star would grimace at this expense.
However, this was a necessary expense.
