When the explosion passed, those present surrounded the area.
"They escaped."
"Impossible. That guy was infected with yellow snake venom. How could he run so fast out of the blast radius?"
"I cast the spell... They escaped. My magic didn't hit them."
"Damn, those bastards are like rats."
Among the people investigating the area, several agreed with what the wizard said.
But they were curious about something. "What caused the explosion?" They looked at the wizard, causing him to shake his head.
"I don't know. Something got in the way of the magic. You must know that when something like this happens, the magic thinks it has reached its target and explodes."
"I see." One of them nodded and looked at him. "It's possible that it found one of the targets. Maybe that woman threw Elliot into the explosion because she realized she couldn't escape with him."
