Lexi pushed open the hospital door, a mix of concern and relief washing over her as she saw Luna sitting up in bed, a mischievous smirk on her face.
"Hey, sis, how's it going?" Luna asked, her voice dripping with nonchalance.
Lexi's smile faltered for a moment before she replied, "Luna, what you did back there was insane! It's only the first round, and you were planning to use that move!?"
Luna's giggles sent a shiver down Lexi's spine. "Yeah, I just wanted to scare her a bit."
As Luna swung her legs over the side of the bed, Lexi's eyes narrowed, her voice taking on a warning tone. "Look, I'm all about scaring the newbies, but doing that in the first round? At least save it as a last resort."
Luna's aura flared, a faint hum of energy emanating from her as she clutched her stomach. "Look, sis, even if I used it back there, do you think anyone could counter me?" Her laughter sent a chill down Lexi's spine.
The atmosphere in the room shifted, the air thickening with tension. Lexi's eyes locked onto Luna's, a deep-seated concern burning within her. "Luna, what's going on with you? You're not thinking clearly."
Luna's gaze snapped to the window, her voice turning serious, laced with a hint of desperation. "Lexi, stop trying to save me already. I can handle myself now. I'm not the same weak girl I used to be."
Lexi's eyes stung, her voice cracking with emotion. "I know you've grown, and you've chosen to stay by my side, but..."
Luna's glare cut her off, her aura surging with a fierce determination. "No buts, Lexi. I'll make it through this stage without your help."
The silence that followed was oppressive, the weight of Luna's words hanging in the air like a challenge. Lexi's eyes never left Luna's face, her heart heavy with a mix of concern and pride and then she leaves the room.
