Flamel gave Diandra a warm smile. "You did well today. Just, maybe go easier next time. You've only got one body. And don't let that pretty face get scratched."
Diandra nodded and smiled at his compliment. "I shall take your words to heart, Dr. Flamel. Though I cannot make promises where justice is concerned."
He looked amused. "Yeah. See what I mean?" He shot a glance at the butler. "Better keep both eyes on her."
Jones silently uttered under his breath. "We all had to." He checked his watch and sighed. "It's almost dinner time. I'll go make sure everything's ready."
Without waiting for a reply, he turned around and walked out of the room, still muttering something about keeping a schedule and how no one else seemed to care about it.
Dr. Flamel, unfazed, gave a small shake of his head as he finished putting his instruments back into his bag. "Man's wound tighter than a watch spring." He murmured.
