"Who is Mousse?" said Molly.
"She is Pier's mother, I believe," said Lizzy.
"Yes, that is correct. Mousse is also involved in this mess," said High Mage Finnas.
"About the school, I would like to have Audrey transferred to the Northern Labrador Elemental Institution and if her mother agrees, I would like permission for a mind-link. That way, if something else ever happens at school or when she's with her mother, she can reach out to me instantly."
"Granted. Both requests. I will get back to you regarding her transfer to NLEI, but you can go ahead with the mid-link."
Lizzy wondered what a mind-link was but didn't want to interrupt. Remembering all that happened during the past 2 days, she didn't care what it was: if Coralis thought it was a good idea, she would agree to it. She had seen enough to know that she could trust anything coming out of Coralis' mouth when it came down to Audrey's safety.
"Thank you. Before coming here, I spoke to Lucida Chorms, the mother of one of her friends. She told me about another incident that happened at WES. Students disappeared 2 years ago and were never found. She mentioned wanting her daughter to transfer schools as well. Same for the parents of another of their friends."
"I will send agents to WES tomorrow and will instruct them to get in touch with Ludica Chorm. The tunnel linking the school to the blood den will be destroyed. Can you please ask Princess Veronica to send us a copy of the research documents found in the Waldorf clan's lab?"
"Will do."
High Mage Finnas left with Vectan and Mouz.
"Are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?" said Molly, pointing at the large burn on her shoulder.
Sebastian, Stephanie and Louis joined them.
"I'm okay. Exhausted, but I'll be fine. I cannot go to hospitals, but don't worry, I heal fast and I believe Frank has seen me with worse injuries than that."
"I've seen you with worse injuries, yes, but I've never seen you collapse on the ground like you did earlier, unmoving for a few minutes."
"She just stam'ed out, which was to be expected," said Sebastian, and pointed at Stephanie and Frank. "Now you two understand why I started to carry vials of might monster juice around. Nothing is better than that to wire the body back up. Blue tends to burn wands quicker than she buys them, she should be buying a staff instead, at this point."
"You pass out often like that?" said Frank.
"Not that often anymore, and I've been into a coma only once."
"Wait, you can fall into a coma if you stam'ed out?" said Stephanie.
"A real coma?" said Molly.
"Yes, uh, the first time I stam'ed out, I've been out for a week. Vic knows, Erik and Henry can also tell you all about it."
"When you destroyed Lord Meozo?" said Sebastian.
"Yes," said Coralis, looking at him. "We should head back now. If you guys only took one car, I'll take Audrey with me."
"Are you sure you are in a state to fly?" said Frank.
"Blue could fly even if she loses her eyes. We fly under worse body conditions when playing flyball. Plus, she needs to take Audrey with her, to comply with the new orders," said Sebastian.
"We only took one car," said Louis.
"What is a mind-link?" said Lizzy.
"It's a telepathic link. That's a smart idea, I think. Blue suggested that? However, it's typically not allowed to have one with a minor, to prevent cheating at school, she would need special authorization for it. Given the situation, I'm sure Blue could easily get that," said Sebastian.
"Oh I want that! Would I be able to talk to her whenever and wherever?" said Audrey.
"High Mage Finnas already agreed to it. He also agreed to a school transfer and will get back to me about it tomorrow. And yes, that's the idea. If I do it through blood imprint, you'll be able to reach out to me regardless of the distance or your environment."
"I'm not sure exactly what it entails, but I trust you both so I will agree to it," said Lizzy.
"Are you that well connected or is it your system that is so much more efficient than ours?" said Louis.
"I'd say both. I work for the CMMA and High Mage Finnas wants Blue to transfer to them. As for our system, it needs to be efficient, or humans wouldn't be safe from us," said Sebastian.
"I'll do the mind-link tomorrow morning, Lizzy, after we're all rested. Do you have something pokey made out of copper, and thyme?"
"Copper?... would old electronic wires work?"
"Yes, that'd work."
"It's going to take some time before you guys get back to Lizzy's. If you're hungry, we can stop to grab some food on the way," said Sebastian.
Coralis and Sebastian took off on their stick, with Audrey holding tight to Coralis' back. Audrey's family went back to Louis's car and headed to Lizzy's apartment in Laval.
"I don't even know what to say about what I saw tonight, and for the past 2 days. I'm not scared of them, no, but damn, these two are efficient. Frank, what you girl did tonight and last night, I will never forget. She risked her life just to get Audrey back to us," said Louis.
"I agree, neither will I. If it wasn't for her, Pier would have taken her from me forever and would have gotten away with it. You heard them, he didn't know that Coralis, or Blue, whatever her name is, was connected to us, or he never would have taken her," said Lizzy.
"Trust me, I'm not about to forget tonight either, and I'm not planning on letting her go."
"At one point, it was like seeing an angel. You saw the shadows coming from the ground and the light that radiated from her?" said Molly, then looked at Frank. "Son, I don't care what you need to do, but it's the second time she saved us from horrible people, she's becoming family to us. Same for you Stephanie, Sebastian is a good man. Please, keep them around."
"If it was up to me, I'd marry her tomorrow, because I do believe she's the one for me. I don't care about what she is, I don't want to be without her. I just need to convince her that I'm the one for her."
"If it was up to you? You mean you asked her before?" said Stephanie.
"Not exactly, but I brought up the topic once, not that long ago. She was talking about the upcoming End-of-Year celebrations at the Fullemons and how they were family to her. I told her that I'd like to be that to her as well, you know, to maybe marry after I'm done with school. She said not to worry about it, that I needed to figure out what I truly wanted."
"In other words, she didn't tell you no," said Louis, keeping his eyes on the road."
"What she said wasn't wrong. In a way, it proves even more that she doesn't have ill intentions against you. She wants you to be sure that she is who you want to have a life with. That's a wise thing to say for her age," said Lizzy.
When they got back to Lizzy's, the elementals weren't back yet. Frank called Coralis as soon as the door closed behind him.
"Is everything all right?" he said when she answered.
"Yeah, all good. We didn't think things through when we picked the restaurant. There is a crowded nightclub very close by, Sebastian has been waiting in line for a long time. He should be out soon with the food."
"You and Audrey didn't go in with him?"
"Nah, didn't want to scare people off with my looks, it ain't Halloween yet. We're comfortably sitting on a tree branch across the street with a nice view of the restaurant's front. We can see Sebastian waiting for the food through the windows."
"All right, see you soon then. Love you."
Sebastian walked out of the restaurant a few minutes later. He looked up to where they were, nodded to Coralis and took off. She took off from the tree branch, with Audrey behind her, and met with him in the sky.
Louis, Linda and Molly left as soon as they were done eating. Sebastian and Stephanie left a few minutes after them, but Frank and Coralis stayed over for the night.
The next day, in the morning over coffee, Coralis created a mind-link between her and Audrey. High Mage Finnas reached out to Coralis in the early evening.
"You can take Ms. Audrey Hudson to NLEI tomorrow evening. You do not need to come to WES to retrieve her belongings; her friends will pack everything for her. Ms. Bomita Chorm and Ms. Cynla Dupuis will also be transferred there and they will bring Ms. Audrey Hudson's belongings with them."
"Excellent! Thank you," said Coralis, with Audrey screaming with joy in the background. "I'll take her there after the flyball game."
"One last thing, that you should know. The students who disappeared from WES 2 years ago were also from mixed families, with an elemental parent associated with the Coven of Unholy Saint Mothers."
