Chapter 30 - It's Raining, It's Pouring

I groaned as I cracked open my eyes, my brain still half asleep. A dull ache pounded through my body as I stretched, almost as if I had run a marathon.

Of course, I might as well have done so. Ahi was right to tell me once he started there was no stopping him. Because there really wasn't. He was a madman, not stopping for no one.

Not that I didn't enjoy it…

Once my senses had caught up with my brain, I noticed that I was lying on Ahi's chest. A blanket was wrapped around my body and his snake tail was wrapped around my waist and legs.

"Are you awake, love?" Ahi asked, causing me to look up at him.

"I am…" I murmured, snuggling into Ahi's chest. "What time is it?"

"Around lunchtime-" Ahi started.

"Lunchtime?!" I jolted up in shock. "Aren't you meant to be going with Xavier to hunt ferals?"

"Relax." Ahi sat up and pulled me back into a hug. "Xavier cancelled the hunt because it was raining heavily. Said something about not wanting to hunt in the rain. Which makes sense. The rain washes away any traces for tracking other ferals."

"Oh…" I murmured. Guess I was worried for nothing. "When did it start raining?"

I did recall there being some thunder rumblings, but didn't realise it was raining. Probably because I had other things on my mind.

"Last night after you passed out." Ahi answered, his eyes darkening for a moment.

My cheeks went red at his words. Ahi had been true to his word about making me feel good, to the point I completely passed out. And when I woke up again, the process began once more.

I wasn't even sure how many times we had done it, but I knew it was at least a few. My body was only now feeling the toll of last night's exercise.

"I wonder who's fault that is…" I muttered under my breath, not really upset.

I was a willing participant. Ahi looked like he was about to say something back, but my stomach growled loudly, announcing to the world its hunger.

"You must be hungry." Ahi smirked, looking down at me.

"Well, I worked up an appetite thanks to a certain someone." I huffed back, trying to stop the embarrassment flooding through me.

"Come on. There should be some food ready for you." Ahi gave me a kiss on the forehead.

He uncoiled himself from me and rose to 'stand', holding out a hand to help me up. I immediately took his hand to get up, wincing a little.

My legs were a little wobbly, so it took a moment for me to steady myself. Once I found my strength again, I stood up straight, only for the blanket covering me to fall to the floor.

It was then that I remembered Ahi had basically ripped my clothing apart, leaving me naked as the day was born. My cheeks burst into flames as did Ahi's as he gazed at me with dark eyes full of desire.

"I-I'll get you some clothes." Ahi exclaimed, the first one to recover. "X-"

"No! I'll do that." I interrupted, rushing off to the living room to get some clothes before Ahi could react.

I pulled back the curtain, well animal fur, dividing the bedroom and living room only to spot Xavier walking out the kitchen with a piece of meat in his hand.

"Aghhh!" I screeched in panic as he stood there frozen like a deer could in the headlights.

"What the-" Xavier muttered before suddenly spinning himself around.

Ahi's tail coiled around my waist, pulling me back into the bedroom, his arms going around me. He let out a hiss as I silently wished the floor beneath me would swallow me whole.

"What is Xavier doing inside the hut?" I asked.

"He's taking shelter from the rain…" Ahi answered. "I was about to tell you that…"

Right, but I had to interrupt because I was embarrassed about Ahi seeing me naked. I had slept with the guy, but something still felt modest.

Wait, he was taking shelter from the rain. Did that mean he was here when Ahi and I were- Nope, I didn't want to think about me. I had already caused myself enough trauma by flashing the poor male.

Gosh, I wanted to die.

"Let me get your clothes." Ahi murmured softly, kissing my hair.

He let me melt into the floor and quickly slithered out the room. He soon came back with a shimmering black cloth I had never seen before.

Ahi shyly handed it to me and I took it curiously, holding it out to see what it was. I noticed the fabric was scaly and realized it was Ahi's shedded skin in the form of a one-shoulder dress.

"Wow!" I exclaimed in excitement, completely stunned by its beauty. "When did you make this?"

"This morning while you were resting." Ahi blushed. "I ripped your other clothes and did promise to make you a new one."

I remembered that, but hadn't expected right away. "Well, I love it! Thank you, Ahi."

I got up and jumped into Ahi's arms, planting a kiss on his lips. Ahi returned the kiss, wrapping his arms around my waist. The kiss quickly deepened, but before we could go further, Ahi pulled away.

"You should get dressed so you can eat." Ahi said as my stomach rumbled on queue.

I blushed and nodded in agreement. Ahi left the room to give me some privacy and I quickly got dressed in the snakeskin dress.

It was tight, but stretchy and was mid-thigh with small slits on both sides to allow for easy walking. It had one shoulder to cover my dragon tattoo and had a wide neck that showed a little cleavage.

Not that I minded too much. The dress allowed me to show off my newly acquired marking - a black snake coiled up above my left breast.

Once I was done, I headed outside to find Ahi patiently waiting outside. His gaze was sharp as he gave me a once over.

"What do you think?" I asked, spinning around.

"Looks perfect on you." Ahi answered with a smile.

I blushed. "Glad to hear that. I really like it. Thanks again."

"Of course. Shall we go eat now?"

"Yes! I'm starving."
