I've finally figured out an uploading schedule: it's going to be every Saturday or Sunday. Also, this chapter might be short because I'm still trying to express what I want in chapters without ruining the story, as I am a new author.

7 Years Old…
"This is way harder than he made it seem, but I can't give up," Tobias muttered angrily.
After three and a half years of practicing his quirk and various martial arts, the once fragile and powerless Tobias Boon stood drenched in sweat, wearing only his shorts. He clenched his fist, struggling to control the shadow erupting from his body, but ultimately lost control.
"Useless," his father, Anthony, grumbled while massaging his temple. "Stand still," he said before reaching down and grabbing Tobias. "You can't visualize what you want to do while moving right now; that's why we are going to keep doing it until I'm tired." Anthony let go, silently stepping back.
"Mhm." Tobias did as he was told, slowly visualizing the shadow-like being and focusing on it emerging from what he thought was the best place: his back. Eventually, after standing still for what felt like an eternity, a small boy that looked exactly like him emerged.
"I need better. You won't ever have the time to sit there and visualize; you have to be faster," Anthony yelled while cracking his knuckles.
"Im going to punch you now your going to have to visualize fast enough or there's gonna be consequences"
Tobias, finally opening his eyes, losing focus on his mental construction, causing the shadow clone to vanish into the darkness.
"But this is my first time visualizing the whole person! It already took almost all my energy. How am I supposed to do it again quickly enough to avoid getting hit?" Tobias spat out in a panic.
Seeing his son panicking, Anthony grinned and started slowly walking towards him, speeding up with every second.
"Wait, wait, slow down for a second!" Tobias screamed.
Ignoring his pleas, Anthony reached Tobias, his fist balled up. He threw a clean right hook to his cheek. The punch connected, sending him flying to the floor, where he skidded a couple of feet before stopping.
"Get up! I told you we are not stopping until I'm tired. You said you want to use your quirk like me, then try fucking harder!" Anthony yelled.
"Argh," Tobias groaned, picking himself up to one knee
Anthony, seeing this, started running in Tobias's direction again with a mad smile on his face. The closer he got to Tobias, the harder the boy squeezed his eyes, trying his best to imagine the dark, twin-like shadow.
Soon, Anthony arrived, swinging his right elbow back and then pushing it forward with all his might to deliver another fist. But before the fist could connect, a shadowy hand sped out of Tobias's shoulder and blocked it before dissolving.
Anthony widened his eyes in surprise before putting on an even more savage grin and swinging his unused left arm in an uppercut motion, connecting with the boy's chin.
"No, I was wrong in my thinking, boy. You made me realize something: I need to make you better than me. I need you to become the best weapon for me to take over this city!" Anthony yelled while watching Tobias fly upwards toward the sky.
Soon, the laws of aerodynamics took effect. After feeling the cold air rushing past him as he ascended and then noticing the change in air pressure as he began to descend, a primal fear of hitting the ground and dying, combined with his weakness, sent his brain into overdrive.
He began to think of everything he did wrong: how he couldn't defend himself and how he could barely even manifest his quirk. Shortly after, he remembered that he was supposed to see his mom again next week for the first time in two years.
Fear slowly trickled into anger, but before the anger could fully take over, his eyes slowly closed, and exhaustion flooded him, knocking him out.
Unhurriedly, a swirling vortex of pure darkness, pulsing with malevolent energy, tore open below Tobias, swallowing him whole….
