Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: I'm No Ice Princess

I had a dream...

I dreamed of an ice field... It wasn't a pristine white wonderland, but a hell strewn with severed limbs, where rivers of blood flowed...

I dreamed of a landship, a young woman lying in a pool of blood, holding a trembling little girl in her arms...

I saw a blood-red highland, where storms of death swept through every place. Armored people surged wave after wave towards a distant light source...

I think... I also saw two figures, one pink and one green... before my eyes...

"Himeko, what do we do now?" March 7th said anxiously.

"Her pulse is very weak," Dan Heng said to Himeko, letting go of the girl's hand.

"Although her vital signs are faint, her body seems to be maintaining a stable condition..." Welt remarked, looking at the girl before him.

"Wait..." Welt picked up his cane and gently moved aside the part covered by the girl's hand.

"...It's a wound, and it's large." Before Welt could finish, Himeko spoke first, "March 7th, Dan Heng, go prepare the medical equipment."

"Oh, okay!" Hearing Himeko's request, March 7th immediately turned to run, only to bump right into the wall again.

"I'll go. March, you stay here and help Mr. Yang..." Dan Heng offered.

"Er... perhaps... you should step outside for a moment?" Himeko said to Welt, a little awkwardly.

"No problem." Welt removed his glasses, turned around, and walked out without looking back.

"Alright, Little March, come help me."

"Okay!"

The wound on the girl's abdomen was large and deep, but it seemed to have been treated already, as not a single drop of blood flowed out. Still, the fissure itself remained alarming.

I'm sleeping right now... no, wait, I'm unconscious, yes, I'm unconscious...

After being knocked out by something, I ended up here.

I feel like I'm lying on something soft, and my body feels... taller?

Wait... no, why does my abdomen feel cool?

Could it be... after being kidnapped, my body was stretched out, and now they're harvesting my organs?!

No, no, this voice is so gentle, they must be good people, right?

Speaking of which, why does this voice sound so familiar?

"Little March, it's time for the bandages."

"Little March."

"March."

...

"Little March?"

The four calls rang out, nearly causing March 7th's brain to crash.

"Oh, oh, okay, let me find it..."

"Hiss... Wait a minute. Dan Heng... Himeko and Mr. Yang... Only three people should be calling me... could it be..." March 7th tentatively looked towards the girl on the bed.

∑(O_O;)

The girl on the bed was staring quietly at her with wide-open eyes. Realizing she'd been spotted, she slowly closed her eyes again, pretending to be calm.

"Hey, I saw that!" March 7th immediately jumped up. The bandages in the medical kit were instantly dragged out by her hand... like trying to reach toilet paper in the bathroom, only to leap forward and pull the entire roll onto the floor.

It was hard not to chuckle.

Having no choice, the girl had to open her eyes again, facing everyone's gaze.

Internally, she was so embarrassed she wanted to dig a hole in the ground.

"How are you feeling? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?" Himeko was closest, so she asked first.

"Uh... I... I... I want..." Unsure if it was because she wasn't used to "speaking" or because she was seeing people she never dreamed she'd meet, the girl's lips seemed to fight each other, stammering and unable to form a complete sentence.

"It's okay, don't be afraid. Everyone here is nice," Himeko quickly added.

"No... it's not... my stomach..." The girl struggled to point to her abdomen, where a small section of clothing had been temporarily opened, revealing a gruesome wound.

And then... all over the wound, a greyish-black liquid had spilled, spreading onto the blankets and sheets beneath... with an overturned bottle lying nearby!

The disinfectant solution was spilled everywhere!

"S-sorry! I accidentally..." March 7th quickly gathered the bandages properly and handed them to Himeko to help manage.

No wonder her eyes earlier held a hint of pain, three parts hunger, and seven parts... what kind of nonsense was that?

Himeko immediately gave her an anesthetic shot and then skillfully began treating the wound.

"March, is everything alright in there?" Dan Heng and Welt stood outside the door, listening to the commotion.

"It's fine, everything's normal!" March shouted back.

Dan Heng stood outside, feeling that something wasn't quite right.

The girl... ah... it's about time to call her Tian An. She kept her eyes closed the entire time, acting as if she were undergoing some life-or-death human cuticle removal surgery (lol), not moving a muscle until the wound treatment was finished.

She also didn't know how she got this wound. Did she get mugged for a kidney while walking down the street?

No... kidneys aren't located there.

"Alright, miss, your wound is treated. How are you feeling now?" Himeko asked while tidying up the remaining supplies.

Hearing this, Tian An just nodded. She didn't even have the strength to speak now, as if something had drained all her energy, leaving her with the helplessness of having the entire ship's defense systems shut down while also being stabbed...

"Little March, let's move our guest more towards the center of the bed," Himeko said to March 7th.

"Okay, I'm pretty good at this!" March 7th made a gesture of rolling up her sleeves and began helping Himeko.

"Say, why aren't you talking... (sniff sniff) You smell really nice!" March 7th was an enthusiastic person, not put off by someone's coldness, but rather motivated to actively seek interaction.

"Could it be... you're a tragic princess from a fallen nation, betrayed by her best friend? An Ice Princess!"

"I..."

"See, see? I guessed right!" March 7th said as they placed her in the middle of the bed.

"..."

"I'm not..."

Can I be the Princess of Kazdel instead...? Tian An snarked internally.

"Alright, March 7th, the patient needs rest. Let's not disturb her. As for questions, we can ask when your injuries have improved."

As expected of Himeko... Big Sis is so understanding, Tian An thought.

"We'll also need to discuss the cost of the treatment."

But not that understanding...
