Chapter 42 - Chapter-42 Sinister Smile

Keifer's POV

"What do you mean?" I ask Yuri.

I don't get what he means.

"I saw him... He's talking to Jay-jay," Yuri answered.

Impossible! That guy is dead. How could he be talking to Jay?

"He's been dead for four years. What you're saying is impossible."

"But I can't be wrong. His blue eyes looked at me before he left," he explained as if he was sure.

I chuckled. "That's impossible."

"I can ask Jay if you want. I can show her a picture of Per—"

I cut him off. "Don't! Just don't say his name here." I looked over at Section A.

My blood boils every time I hear his name. It brings back everything that happened that night. If I get too angry, I might send Aries after him… to his grave!

After all, Aries is the reason why he disappeared. It would only be fitting for him to follow in his grav—what the fvck?!

Someone bumped into me.

"S-Sorry... You were blocking the way," Jay-jay said before running off again.

"You okay?" Yuri asked me.

"Annoying..." I murmured.

This girl is already a headache, and now she's a pain in the body too.

Unbelievable!

Jay-jay's POV

"Catch me if you can!" Ci-N shouted as she ran.

"You little—you're dead meat!" I yelled, running even faster.

I was really going to catch this brat. I just discovered one of Ci-N's tricks. Turns out, he's been opening my Facebook on my phone, accepting all the friend requests from Section E, and even posting on my wall. Unbelievable! No wonder I had so many notifications.

"You traitor!" I shouted again.

"Hahaha... Catch me!" he teased.

I was about to catch him, but suddenly, he slowed down and waved at someone. Annoyed, I kicked him from behind. Not too hard, just enough to make him fall.

"Ouch! Who—Jay! Why did you kick me?!" Calix asked angrily.

Oh, it was him. Looks like he was waving at Mica.

"It's your fault," I said and ran after Ci-N again.

Just in time, the brat was also waving at someone. Looked like Rakki, sitting on the bleachers with a racket in hand. I ran even faster and kicked Ci-N from behind. Same strength as with Calix.

"Ouch! That hurt!" she complained, rubbing her back.

"You're a brat," I said and kept running.

I hadn't gone far when I saw David waving at someone. Another troublemaker! I was about to kick him too, but I stopped when I saw the girl waving back at him.

"I love you, my David!" the girl shouted.

"Huh?! You have a girlfriend?!" I asked.

David's cheeks turned red as he tried to hide his smile. "Y-Yeah."

Wow. Who would've thought David was a ladies' man? Lucky him, the girl was really pretty.

He went back to running, so I did the same. We were almost done when I noticed Kiko waving at me.

I slowed down and waved back.

"Hi—aaayyy!!!" I screamed as someone kicked me from behind, making me fall straight to the ground.

I quickly got up and looked around. Keifer, that jerk!

"Ouch! What did I ever do to you?!" I yelled at him.

"Tss! You were blocking the way," he replied lazily.

Oh, so he's getting back at me now?!

He continued running. My anger boiled over, and before I knew it, I was running after him and kicking him from behind.

Keifer fell, and suddenly, everything stopped. The slackers stopped running. The nerds stopped reading their notes. Section A froze in place. Even the bystanders fell silent.

Tsk! I'm screwed.

Keifer slowly stood up. Even though his back was still turned to me, I knew he was mentally killing me already.

"We're doomed."

"They're about to fight."

"Yuri! Stop them!"

"Keifer's pissed."

"How much do you bet? I'm on Jay-jay's side."

The onlookers murmured their reactions.

To be honest, I was nervous. I could feel Keifer's intense aura again. He looked like he was ready to kill someone.

I swallowed hard. Keifer slowly turned to face me. The furrow between his brows disappeared as his expression darkened.

"WHAT IS FVCKING WRONG WITH YOU?!" he roared in anger.

His voice echoed throughout the entire gymnasium. It was enough to make knees and flesh tremble.

"I-it's your fault... Y-you keep kicking!" I answered him, though the truth is, I'm just pretending to be brave.

This might be my end!

"YOU! STUPID! NOOB! CRAZY! WOMAN! You're dead..." When he said that, it felt like all the blood drained from my body.

A sudden chill ran through me. I felt like a ghost had hugged me.

"JAY! RUN!" someone shouted.

I did as they said because Keifer suddenly smiled. The kind of smile you never want to see again. The one they call a sinister smile!

"Run faster! B*tch! Once I get you! YOU'RE DEAD!" he said and started chasing after me.

I ran even faster. His legs are so long—one of his steps is probably two of mine. I'm screwed!

"Hurry up!" they shouted at me.

I glanced at Keifer for a moment and—oh my God—he's about to catch me.

I'm exhausted from running, but if I stop, I'm dead. I pushed myself to run faster, but suddenly, I tripped.

Or rather, someone tripped me.

I rolled on the ground like a sticky rice cake rolling in sugar. My foot hurt from the fall.

"Aaaawww..."

I turned to see who the shameless person that tripped me was. Yuri.

I was about to curse him out, but before I could, Keifer grabbed me by the collar and pulled me up.

"You think you can run away from me?" he said, bringing my face close to his.

No, wait! If he moves even a little closer, we'll end up kissing!

"I will punish you! Until you cry and beg for your life," he said.

I struggled to pull my face away. Just a little bit more, and our lips will touch. I don't want to kiss him. No! No!

"Move your face away!" I ordered him.

He suddenly laughed and widened his eyes at me. He looked so creepy!

Then he moved his face even closer to mine. "How about that?!" he teased.

I said move away, not closer!

"Your face!" I yelled, trying to pull away.

He chuckled. "I don't want to!"

He's not getting what I mean! I didn't want to do this, but Keifer's being so persistent.

I closed my eyes—I don't want to see his face.

Okay… One. Two. Three.

I slightly tilted my face toward him. Just a little, just a tiny-winy-mighty-smally move.

And bam! Right on target!

I kissed him.

Not even 0.01 milliseconds had passed before I regretted what I did.

I thought it would be just a quick smack, just a brief touch of our lips. But no! It was deeper, and even our noses collided.

Son of a—!!!

My heart was racing. It felt like it was trying to break free from my chest.

Heart, calm down!

"Ay… they kissed," someone said.

As soon as that was said, Keifer immediately let go of me. I could clearly see his shocked face.

He was blushing and at a loss for words.

Oh my God! You're not the only one who's shocked here! I felt weak, my face was burning hot, and my chest and throat were tight.

Breathe, Jay!

Jesus! Can I even breathe after this?! What I did was so wrong. And I totally forgot that there were so many students watching us.

Oh, wait!

I looked toward Section A and saw Aries approaching us. Following behind him were Mykel and Kiko.

I was about to speak, but Keifer suddenly grabbed my collar again.

What the hell?! Does he want another one?!

"You did that on purpose!" he accused me.

I just shook my head, looking away. I couldn't meet his eyes.

That was your fault!

"Put Jay-jay down!" Aries ordered.

Keifer just stared at him.

If only he'd let me go—I'm already struggling! My feet were literally off the ground.

"And if I don't?" Keifer taunted.

Aries suddenly pulled me, but Keifer refused to let go and grabbed my arm instead.

Now, they looked like they were playing tug-of-war, and I was the rope.

But this wasn't fun. It hurt! What the hell?!

"Let go," Aries commanded in a sharp tone.

Keifer smirked. "Make me."

Aries pulled me again, but Keifer still wouldn't let go.

"A-aargh! Let go of me!" I pleaded. Neither of them listened. They just kept going.

"Why are you so affected?" Keifer teased.

"I'm not affected. I'm concerned about my cousin," Aries replied.

"Son of a shark… Just let me go already!" I begged. But they still ignored me. I was getting weaker from the pain of them pulling me.

"It's the same thing. You're still affected," Keifer taunted again.

If he wants to mess with Aries, can he not involve me?!

"No. It's not," Aries argued.

Ow! Let me go already! I'm begging you.

"Really?" Keifer asked. Before Aries could respond, Keifer suddenly yanked me toward him. He pulled me so hard that I heard my bones crack. Aries lost his grip, and I nearly slammed into Keifer's chest.

"Have some mercy on me..." I muttered. He ignored me.

"She belongs to Section E. Anything that we want to do to Jay is none of your business," Keifer declared.

Belong? I belong now?!

I thought that was the end of it. But then—he grabbed me by the back of my neck and my waist.

My heart stopped beating. One beat, and then boom! It exploded. I might have died without realizing it. Oxygen! Please!

Keifer kissed me.

He kissed me!

KISSED. ME?! Aaaaaarghhhh!!

It was a deep kiss, as if he was devouring my lips.

Move, Jay! I couldn't. I felt weak. He was looking at Aries while doing it, and Aries could only watch. This isn't right!

I tried to push Keifer away, but he only pressed my head closer using the hand on my neck.

Damn you, Keifer!

If his kiss shocked me, what he did next shocked me even more.

He started moving his lips—as if he was getting carried away and...

And...

And I felt his tongue.

PUT A TANG IN A GLASS!!!
