Jay-jay's POV
I said I'd just eat. I didn't say anything about going to the pesky Amusement Park! I don't know which demon possessed David that he brought Ci-N and me here. And this one, he's absolutely thrilled.
"I don't want it anymore!" I said while pulling on Ci-N.
"Just one more ride!" he insisted, pulling me toward the roller coaster.
"No, really, Ci! My body can't take it anymore!" I pleaded, my voice tinged with desperation.
Ci-N let go of me and scratched her head. "You're so weak."
Damn it! And I'm the weak one here? This would be, what, our sixth ride he wants us to go on? And mind you, all these are the stomach-churning ones!
"You go ride by yourself for now. I'll watch Jay-jay," David said.
Ci-N nodded and joined the line for the ride she wanted. I plopped down on a bench, feeling like my body had been beaten up.
"Want some water?" David offered, holding out a bottle.
I shook my head. Water's not what I need.
Thank goodness Ci agreed to ride alone. I really need to talk to this David guy.
"David.." I called him. "..what if you get your girlfriend pregnant?"
"I'd take responsibility. We'll get married if she wants." He quickly answered me.
At least he thinks that way.
"…why'd you ask?" he added.
"It's Denzel…"
"He still doesn't want to take responsibility for Grace?" he asked, surprising me.
He knows?
"You know that too?"
He nodded and sat down next to me. "I overheard them fighting."
"What did you do? Did you talk to him?"
David shook his head. "I don't want to confront him. Denzel will ask for help if he needs it."
"But poor Grace. She's been crying her eyes out because of what he's doing."
"Denzel has his reasons. He's not that kind of guy. He wouldn't run from his problems."
That got me thinking. He was right, it seems like running away from responsibility is not in those snakes' vocabulary.
"I feel sorry for Grace. Talk to Denzel. n situations like this, it's better for guys to talk to guys because women like us have a different perspective on these things."
David chuckled softly. "You sound so mature."
Me? Sound mature?
"Really?"
"Yeah. But if you want me to talk to Denzel, I will. I can't promise that he'll change his mind right away."
That's okay. Maybe he'll open his mind and think of something that he can do.
"That's okay… But you should definitely talk to him tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? Why not now?"
I looked at him, puzzled. Really now? We're still at the Amusement Park.
"What time is it anyway? We're still here. Let's do it tomorrow."
"Then let's have them come here."
Huh? As soon as he said that, he suddenly leaned his face close to mine. I practically fell back onto the armrest of the bench just to get away from him.
"D-David…"
"Your lips look dry. Want me to wet them?"
My cheeks suddenly heated up. What kind of trip is this? O my gosh! My heart!
You have a girlfriend, man!
Out of nowhere, an empty Coke can flew through the air. Three or five of them—one hit David on the head, making him sit up straight. I did the same and looked around for where the cans could've come from.
"Where'd those come from?"
"They're here. I told you we should just talk to them now."
What? I couldn't make sense of what he was saying.
"What are you talking about?" I asked him.
"They've been following us for a while. Maybe even before we left school."
Huh? Following us?
I looked behind us. I didn't see anyone familiar to me. There were some people from HVIS but only a few.
"They won't show themselves."
"How do you know they're following us?" I asked, still scanning the area.
"Instinct!" he answered proudly.
Instinct, he says?!
"Come on, let's go find them," I urged David.
But he didn't move from his seat. He just smiled while looking at one of the rides.
"Let's just let make them come out. I'm too tired to play hide and seek." He said with a smile.
Sometimes I just don't get this David guy. I think he's catching it from Keifer.
He stood up and walked towards the roller coaster line.
Ci-N was also approaching us. It looked like he had just gotten off the rides.
"You didn't come with me... It was so much fun!" He opened his mouth to me.
"Oh! You're the one who enjoyed it."
"Do you want to eat?" David asked us.
Ci-N and I both nodded. That's exactly what I wanted! Food! Food!
David took us to SnR. Wow! Pizza! he only problem was, I might not have enough money. This boy we're with is such a big eater.
"Pepperoni for me! Two!" Ci-N shouted, making the lady at the counter laugh.
"Hehe… Sorry if my bro's a bit loud," I said.
I just said she was my sister to avoid any questions. People might think something weird if I said she's just my classmate. They'd probably assume I got held back in school because my classmate looks so young!
I don't want that!
"It's okay... he's cute." The woman at the counter said.
"Go ahead and order... I'll pay for it." David chimed in.
I smiled. "You said it, okay?"
David nodded. I immediately looked and approached the counter.
Free food, guys! Free!
"Pepperoni too please. And fries. Then a coke."
The woman at the counter smiled. David gave his order. After getting our order, we sat near the window.
"I saw them, Yuri, with the others." Ci-N said while eating.
"When did you see them?"
"When I was on the rides... Near where you guys were earlier."
David and I exchanged looks. It's true, those crazies are really here. But I wasn't going to think about them yet because the pizza was delicious.
But what's their deal, following us? I'm with David and Ci-N, after all.
After eating, Ci started pushing for another ride. We just ate, and she wants me to throw it all up?
"No way! You go alone!"
"You go ahead, Ci. We'll just wait for you again," David said.
Ci-N had no choice but to line up for the ride she wanted by herself. The ride was called "Pirates Ship." The ship was suspended from four poles—shaped like a triangle—and it swung back and forth forcefully.
David and I just stood not too far away.
"So, how do we get them to come out again?" I asked David.
"Like this…" he replied, taking one of my hands.
I looked at him, and one of his hands cupped my cheek. He caressed it with his thumb.
"D-David..."
"Don't worry... I'm not going to kiss you. I have a girlfriend, remember?"
I gave him a small nod. I didn't forget that—his girlfriend's super cute. I just don't know her name.
"Now… Close your eyes," he instructed.
I closed my eyes as he asked. I'll admit, I don't have feelings for David, but I couldn't help feeling nervous. My breathing wasn't normal anymore. With every second that I couldn't see or feel anything, my heart raced faster.
"Relax, Jay," he whispered, making me feel his breath close to my lips.
My goodness! Palpitations!
But what happened next was something I didn't expect.
"Aaaahhhh!!!"
A hand yanked me away from David. I opened my eyes and was shocked to see our snake-like classmates surrounding us.

Kit and Calix were holding David. Keifer stood between us, his face unreadable.
I looked at the person holding me—it was Yuri. There was something off about his expression. He looked like she was holding back anger.
He looked like she needed to poop!
"You jerk, David! You have a girlfriend, don't you?!" Yuri shouted angrily.
"And so?" David asked, taunting her.
"You're out of your mind!" Keifer said to him.
"What's going on?" Ci-N asked, still munching on cotton candy.
I thought he was on a ride? Why's he holding food?
"Ci! I thought you didn't have money?!" I asked.
"I didn't… Some girls over there treated me," he replied, pointing to a group of women giggling and waving at her.
"You prioritized that cotton candy over watching Jay-jay and David?!" Keifer asked angrily.
"Why would I need to watch them?" Ci-N asked innocently.
"These two almost kissed." One of the snakes answered.
Ci-N was stunned and dropped the cotton candy he was holding. His gaze went back and forth between me and David.
"You can't kiss her!" he shouted at David.
"Why?" David asked.
"I should be first." he replied shamelessly and puckering his lips and leaning toward me.
I gave her a hard smack on the head. Crazy girl! I thought she had a serious reason, but it was just her nonsense again.
"Ow…" she said, rubbing her head.
"You're full of nonsense!" I shifted my gaze to the snakes. "…Why are you all here?! Are you following us?!"
They suddenly avoided my gaze. Each one started acting weird—some pretended to inspect leaves on a tree, others kicked at the ground. Only Keifer and Yuri kept looking at me.
"Because you let David and Ci-N date but we didn't." One of them replied while bowing.
"That's all?!"
"...and to make sure David doesn't do anything stupid." Yuri added while looking at David with a wicked look.
"I didn't do anything wrong, huh?" David replied.
"You almost kissed Jay-jay!" Yuri said angrily.
"Why are you angry?" David asked.
Yeah! Why does she seem so angry? Yuri's face turned slightly red, so I stared at her.
