Connor and his friends were astonished to see their names listed in the same classroom, section 2B.
"Ivan, I assume you've seen the list?" Hoka joked.
"You've got to be kidding! I never thought we'd be in the same class," Ivan responded, glancing at the list. "Me either," Yuto chimed in with a smile and a shake of his head. Connor noticed that his roommate was also on the list and wanted to know more about her to build a friendship. When he made eye contact with her, she quickly looked away.
Afterward, Mr. Walter invited the students to enter their respective classrooms, and they complied.
As Connor and his friends were heading to their classroom, Ms. Evonne suddenly called out to him.
"Excuse me, can you come with me to the office?" she asked.
"Sure, Miss," he replied.
"Thank you. We just need to discuss something," she said, and Connor followed her to the office.
Meanwhile, Yuto and the others became curious about why Ms. Evonne had called Connor.
"I wonder why she called him," Yuto said, pondering with his friends.
"Me too. As far as I know, he hasn't done anything wrong," Hoka remarked thoughtfully.
"Unless he did something we didn't see, like admiring her," Ivan teased, laughing.
"Please lower your voice, or we'll end up in the office like Connor," Yen warned.
"That's better. Let's head to our classroom for now," Yuto suggested.
"Yeah, that's a good idea," Yen replied, and they proceeded to their classroom.
Once inside the office, Ms. Evonne took her seat and invited Connor to sit down.
"Welcome to my office. You know my name; may I know yours?" she asked.
"I'm Connor Hanson from the Eastan region, Miss," he replied.
"Nice to meet you, Connor," she said, extending her hand for a shake.
"Nice to meet you too, Miss," he responded, shaking her hand.
As they shook hands, she felt her power increasing in a way she had never experienced before, and she felt much better afterward.
"Oh, I feel my power increasing. I've never felt this before; I feel much better now," Ms. Evonne thought to herself after they shook hands. She then continued her conversation with Connor.
"Do you know anything about your power?" Ms. Evonne asked him.
"According to what my parents told me, I have the power of augmentation. I can increase the power of anything I touch, Miss," he replied.
"I'm going to be honest with you, Connor. You must learn to control it as soon as possible, or you might lose all your energy," she warned him.
"I don't know how, but I'll try to figure it out, Miss," he responded.
"I'll do my best to help you," she offered.
"Thank you, Miss," he said gratefully.
"Would you hold my hand? I want to teach you how to control your power," she suggested, extending her hand toward him. They clasped hands.
As they held hands, Ms. Evonne's power continued to increase. She instructed Connor on how to manage his own abilities.
"I need you to focus, Connor. Close your eyes and stay calm," she told him as she guided him. He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself, but her power kept rising. She encouraged him to control his powers with his mind.
"Control your power through your mind. Believe that you can manage it," she guided him through the next steps, and he followed her instructions calmly.
"I think I can control myself now, Miss," he responded, but she could sense that her power was still increasing.
"But my power is still rising, Connor. Can you control your power now?" she asked.
"Yes, I'm just amplifying your power as a thank you, Miss," he replied.
"I appreciate that, but you've already increased my power earlier. That's enough, Connor," she responded, and he managed to stop her power from escalating.
"Thank you for helping me learn to control my power. I finally have it under control after a few months of figuring it out," he said with gratitude, and she smiled at him.
"No worries, but it's crucial for you to learn to control your power," she reminded him.
"And I should be grateful that you increased my power. I'm not quite sure how to repay you, Connor," she added, thinking about how to express her gratitude for what he had done for her.
"No need to repay me, Miss. Your gratitude is enough for me," he replied, smiling back at her.
"I think I could take you to your classroom as a way to repay you for now," she suggested.
"Sorry, Miss, but I think it would be embarrassing. I wouldn't want to disturb your work; I can manage it myself," he insisted, scratching his head.
"Don't worry, it won't bother my work. We should go to your classroom, Connor," she insisted.
"Thank you, Miss. I appreciate it," he said with class to begin, he wondered about what was taking Connor so long to arrive.

Meanwhile, Yuto and the others were already in the classroom, having finished their first class. As they waited for the second class to begin, he wondered about what was taking Connor so long to arrive.
"Why is he taking so long?" Yuto asked, curious about what happened to Connor.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine, I guess?" Yen replied.
"Besides, he's with our Vice Principal, right?" Hoka reminded Yuto about Connor.
"Yeah, he will be fine," Yuto responded.
"And I guess he's with Ms. Evonne," Ivan smiled, noticing Connor outside their classroom with Ms. Evonne. They all watched curiously as Connor proceeded to enter his classroom with the Vice Principal.
"Thank you, and see you around, Connor," she said with a smile before heading back to her office. The students were stunned as Connor entered the classroom and took his seat, where his friends gathered to talk to him.
"Why did it take you so long?" Yuto asked.
"What did you do to her?" Yen chimed in.
"No, she helped me learn to control my power using my mind," Connor replied.
"Then what happened? Were you able to control it?" Yen asked again.
"Yeah, thanks to her, after a few months, I can finally control my power," he answered.
"Such luck that she noticed you, man," Ivan said.
"By the way, what power do you have?" Hoka asked him.
"My power is Power Augmentation," Connor replied.
"He has a power that can enhance the powers of others and even himself," Yen explained.
"That's a great power you have, man," Ivan praised him.
"What power do you have?" Connor asked Ivan.
"I can control gravity. How about you, Hoka?" Ivan replied and continued the conversation.
"I'm able to harden my own body to become invulnerable to any attacks. What about you, Yuto?" Hoka asked.
"Me? I can accelerate my speed. And Yen, what power do you have?" Yuto said, then curiously asked Yen.
"I can do this." She responded, summoning two blade weapons in front of them, surprising everyone.
"Whoa, take it easy!" Ivan exclaimed, startled.
"Oh, sorry, my bad," she apologized and put down the blades.
"You can summon blades; that's cool," Hoka said, amazed.
"Such nice blades you have. Let me enhance them," Connor offered, taking her weapon and enhancing it. Yen watched in amazement as he improved her weapons.
"Thanks, Connor! I truly appreciate it," she said with a smile as she received her enhanced weapons.
After that, Connor remembered his roommate and, looking around, spotted her sitting in her seat, reading a book, seemingly uninterested in her surroundings.
"I guess the second class is about to start, guys," Yuto said, noticing Mr. Hashi entering the classroom. They returned to their seats, and Sandra noticed Connor looking at her but didn't react.
As Mr. Hashi stood in front of the class, he introduced himself.
"I'm Mr. Hashi Ketsugi, your Combat Professor. I will teach you how to fight, particularly how to defend yourself without always relying on your powers. You must become proficient in physical combat. After we complete Basic Combat Training, you will have some time to practice with your powers. We will also have Primary Combat Tryouts."
As they hear about the "Primary Combat Tryouts," they are all curious and wondering what it is and how it will help them.
