Chapter 1 - Generosity

There was a generous boy named Damian, full of spirit and kindness, always willing to help those in need.

He lived in Washington, D.C., along with his parents.

He never hesitated to support others, which made him popular at school.

He excelled in everything he did, always standing at the top.

When he saw a poor boy being bullied by three others because of his appearance, Damian quickly pushed the leader of the bullies who was harassing him.

"You're ganging up on a single helpless guy, aren't you ashamed? You should pick someone your own size!"

-Damian shouted, full of confidence.

Because of that, the classmates immediately looked towards them. And then shouted, "Fight! Fight! Fight!"

- the whole class repeatedly shouting.

"Look who's here, the hero, the justice himself. Think you're a savior, huh? You're nothing but a failure!"

-The bullies replied with anger.

*Damian scoffs*

"Failure, you say? Look at yourself; do you think bullying is cool? Well, I guess you need a beating to teach you a lesson."

-Damian replied, and then he took on a boxing stance.

"Alright, bring it on, asshole; I'll show you who you're messing with!"

A bully said this, and then he rushed to punch Damian.

But alas!

Damian dodged in the blink of an eye by ducking under him. After that, he delivered a body blow to the bully's left side, and the bully took a liver shot in an instant!

Then the bully went down on his knees with a bruise.

The classmates applauded loudly, their faces displaying amazement.

"Wow, I can't believe it; Damian just took him out with ease!"

- a proud classmate exclaimed.

"Thank you, Damian, for helping me,"

said the bullied boy.

"No, it was nothing. Anyway, what's your name?"

- Damian asked.

"My name's Nate; can we be friends and play together?" - Nate.

"Sure, anytime,"Damian replied with a smile.

After a while, the bell rang for the end of school.

Damian walked home, happy to have helped those in need.

It was March 24, 2029, his birthday; he arrived home excitedly.

"I'm home, Mom, Dad!" -Damian called out, rushing inside.

The familiar warmth of his house greeted him, and then he heard a birthday song from a music box.

A bright smile spread across his face as he hurried toward the kitchen.

But what he saw next would haunt him for the rest of his life.

The sight was horrifying, brutal, and gory. Bloodstains painted grotesquely on the walls in a chaotic mess, like a vision of hell itself. His parents' corpses lay at the dinner table, their bodies butchered beyond recognition.

Their limbs had been amputated, and their organs were neatly placed on plates as if they were part of a grotesque feast.

His breath hitched. He turned his head to the left—the gas stove was leaking, hissing ominously.

In mere seconds, an explosion erupted, engulfing everything in flames.

The house was obliterated, reduced to ashes along with his parents.

But Damian survived.

Some might call it luck; others might say it was divine intervention.

But, for the love of God, he was given another chance to live.

He was unconscious, but in that void, his mind drifted between pain and memories. Images of his parents' smiles, their laughter, their warmth—they played in his head like a cruel movie, reminding him of what he had lost. Tears streamed down his face, even in unconsciousness.

Why?

Why him? Why his family? Who could do something so monstrous?

His birthday, once a day of celebration, had turned into a nightmare—a tragedy that would forever haunt him.

And as he lay amidst the burning ruins, one thing became certain.

Damian's world had been shattered, but deep within the abyss of sorrow, something else was born.

"Vengeance."
