Draziel's POV
I threw him hard against the wall after he told me everything. The room shook, and he slid to the floor, a rain of debris falling around him, white dust swirling before him, enveloping him in its veil.
I charged forward to pick him up and beat some more sense into him. I fought back the urge, and I grunted, my fist tightened beside me. How could he keep that from me, even if she told him to? How could he keep the fact that Rava and Nexa came from the future to abduct her? How could he teach her how to meditate without my permission?
Varin had struggled to his feet. He held his ribs from the pain I had inflicted on him. He stared straight at me, his gaze intense on me. I could feel the hate in them burning my skin. I couldn't care less that he hated me. That was the least he deserved for laying his hands on Lyra.
"Get all the available guards. We are leaving to find her in the human world. She must be found." I ordered.
Varin bowed, and he disappeared.
