A week since Double Dungeon incident.
The week, has been stressful at the very least.
After his re-awakening, he noticed that his body changes little by little every day.
Hair growing longer, his body gaining muslces, gaining weight, gaining height.
Each day it would change little by little, he supposes it's due to his body adapting to his new strength, it's actually normal for people's bodies to change slightly after awakening, it depends on what class they awaken as.
If they awaken as Tanker for example, their body would gain more muscles and could become bulkier.
But in Sung Jin-Woo's case, his new class is fighter.
But he also learned quite lot of things about his new abilities.
First one would be his 'Knight' form, it comes from his skill:Spiritual Body Manifestation, it allows him to use his full power and transform himself into 'entity'.
And his Human form is still strong, incomparably more than before he awakened, but it's nowhere near his Spiritual Body Manifestation.
[Active Skill: Dominator's Touch] is a Telekinesis ability, quite easy and useful. He had lot of fun trying it out too.
But...
Sung Jin-Woo has been re-evaluated already already by Surveillance Team lead by Woo Jin-Chul once they stepped into his apartment to re-evaluate him and question him about 'Double Dungeon' incident.
For Jin-Woo's not great surprise, he has been evaluated as E-Rank once again, you may question why.. The reason was Sung Jin-Woo can lower his mana capacity, he lowered it enough to still be treated as E-Rank.
He doesn't want to be published as S-Rank yet, reason is very simple. Even though Hunter Association tried the best it can to hide as much informations on S-Rank, it might still be enough, and since he still doesn't know his full strength and doesn't have full control of it, he wants to play safe as E-Rank for a week or two before going for re-evaluation.
Nothing personal, Woo Jin-Chul, but Sung Jin-Woo needs to keep his sister safe for now till he gets a strong grip on his powers...
And right now he is dealing with consequences of his actions.
He found one raid team needing a porter for C-Rank Gate, and since Jin-Woo is pretty sure that Double Dungeon was way higher than D-Rank, he joined the raid team as porter. For 3 million won, easy cash. And in the meantime he would have inspected these guys how they fight against C-Rank Boss.
But what he didn't expect was to be betrayed, and trapped in Boss's Room along with a rich kid, Yoo Jin-Ho, a D-Rank Tanker who also joined raid for similar reason like Jin-Woo did, to fill the number gap.
But now.
"Sung Jin-Woo! Run, find exit or something, I'll try to hold the boss as much as I can!" Declared Yoo Jin-Ho as he stood up protectively over Jin-Woo, profusely sweating.
Jin-Woo would have been touched if someone tried this a week or two ago.
This guy is selfless and has good personality, he is not rotten like others.
That was Sung Jin-Woo's impression of Yoo Jin-Ho who stood over him in protective stance, ready to sacrifice his life for someone he knew less than an hour.
Sung Jin-Woo sighed before walking away from Yoo Jin-Ho, stepping away from him so Sung Jin-Woo could concentrate on the boss.
Jin-Woo is pretty sure he could have killed this boss in a single strike if he had a proper weapon with him right now.
"Wait Sung Jin-Woo you can't! It's too dangerous for y-!" Whatever Yoo Jin-Ho wanted to say was interrupted the moment Jin-Woo used his [Active Skill: Spiritual Body Manifestation].
In less than a second, his body was coated from head to toe in jet-black armor he awakened in inside the Double Dungeon.
Tattered cape fluttering behind him as Giant Spider, the Boss hissed at him.
But it was also the last hiss it would ever hiss in it's life.
Battle was over in an instant, Sung Jin-Woo did not want to waste time and potentially cause harm for Yoo Jin-Ho if he wanted to experiment with his powers here.
So with his mind set to stone, Jin-Woo jumped at incredible speed, for others it seemed as if he used teleportation, and the ground he leaped from cracked, leaving spider-like web cracks on it.
And he jumped at Giant Spider's head, and in one swift move, while wielding Great-Sword one handed only, he beheaded the same spider, green blood splattering everywhere, even on his jet black armor.
This scared the shit out of Yoo Jin-Ho, in his mind Sung Jin-Woo was supposed to be E-Rank, and he easily dispatched a C-Rank Boss in one movie. He cannot be E-Rank, it's either high A-Rank or S-Rank. That's what Jin-Ho though as he looked terrified at the fallen spider before unconsciously gulping saliva in his throat.
'Is he...false ranker?' Was Jin-Ho's thought as he glanced at Jet-Black armored knight who took out essence stone from the now dropped Spider's head.
"This will last me for a while." Was Jin-Woo's reply as he inspected the essence stone in his hand. This is the highest essence stone he ever touched till now, it was to be expected after all. 'But this spider, is even weaker than those golem statues.' He though as he glanced one last look at Spider's now headless body before stepping away from it.
Sung Jin-Woo glanced at terrified Yoo Jin-Ho. "You need to keep quiet about my abilities." Jin-Ho rapidly nodded in a comical fashion at that.
"We have exactly one hour before Dungeon closes. " Commented Sung Jin-Woo before walking in Jin-Ho's direction, scaring the shit out of poor Jin-Ho.
"Hwang Dongsuk's teams are what we call Lizards." Began Sung Jin-Woo as he stood in front of Jin-Ho, who looked for a second confused at the term before questioning Sung Jin-Woo about it. 'As expected, he doesn't even know about it.'
"Lizards is a term we Hunters use to describe killers in Dungeon, people who kill others. There is a motto that we hunters use since law doesn't exist here, it's only survival of the fittest. Motto goes by "What happens in Dungeon, stays in Dungeon." " Explained Sung Jin-Woo before pointing at dead Boss. " Since they are Lizards, we have no choice but to kill them." He added.
"Why go that far!?"
Sung Jin-Woo huffed before crossing his arms over his chest plate. " They won't just leave us be, they would come here and see if we are eaten, and if we are not then they will try to finish the job, but that's personal. But try to think what would happen if I don't finish them."
"But!-" Jin-Ho got interrupted by a flicker on his head.
"Just how many people would die if I let them be, how many hundreds of people they have killed. Just remember the contract we have signed with them. ' If Anything happens to us' they won't pay reparations or suffer any consequences, from the start this was all fishy." Added.
Jin-Ho relented, he sighed. Took a breath, he understands.
He understands fully what Sung Jin-Woo is implying, this was all planned out from start. The contract, the cave. The boss.
All connected, and he does understand that law won' work here. Police can't investigate since dungeon would close in less than an hour, and there is no proof of Hwang Dongsuk's group attacking them.
Nothing to prove them.
Only words against words.
But just as they were about to continue, they got interrupted by a voice from above.
Both, Sung Jin-Woo looked at where it come from, and there is hold and behold.
Hwang Dongsuk's group is above, looking out from another cave entering the boss room.
"Wow look at that, they killed the boss!"
"Boss must have been very weak for a D-Rank to defeat it."
"Wait, where is that E-Rank?"
"And who is that armored knight with D-Rank?"
All of them shot their own questions.
But seriously, Jin-Woo already forgot their names, and since they won't live to see another day there is no effort in remembering them anyway.
Hwang Dongsuk's group jumped from the cave entrance, landing harshly on ground before they moved closer to Sung Jin-Woo and Jin-Ho.
Jin-Ho gritted his teeth and tightened the hold on his shield and sword. He is ready, he is backing down.
Sung Jin-Woo glanced at them before slowly walking in their direction, while dragging his sword on ground slowly, radiating malicious aura, even more so when his Great-Sword is drenched in green blood. Making it obvious who killed the boss.
Hwang Dongsuk glanced at Giant Spider, then at armored Knight coming closer before coming to an realization.
"This guy is that E-Rank! He is false ranker! Kyuhwan kill him!" Immediately, all members of his party got alarmed at such absurd declaration, but once again. The only proof they need was dead boss and blood on Sung Jin-Woo's sword.
Immediately, they all took their stances before Khyuhwan fired a fireball at moving Sung Jin-Woo, who side stepped as fireball just zoomed past him easily.
Immediately, an orange haired guy with bandana and sword rushed at Sung Jin-Woo, expecting to cut Sung Jin-Woo.
Sung Jin-Woo remembers him, that's the guy who called him "Weakest Hunter of all Mankind" just before they entered.
Just when bandana guy was in range, Sung Jin-Woo just gave him a painless death by cutting him in half, from head to toe. Vertically.
Even if these guys are horrible people and monsters on their own right, Sung Jin-Woo won't step as low as they did, so he will just give them a painless death to put those animals down.
"You bastard!" Screamed a dagger wielding guy as he along with another orange haired guy with afro hair cut ran at Sung Jin-Woo.
"Juntae!! You bastard!" Screamed Hwang Dongsuk before he used his skill 'taunt'. Skill taunt released a roar from him which would cause nearby weaker enemies to focus at him while also strengthening his body, but unfortunately for him. Sung Jin-Woo was too ahead of his league for his skill to work.
So with his useless attempt to stop Sung Jin-Woo from killing two of his other party members, it obviously didn't work because two heads dropped to floor before they lost sight of Sung Jin-Woo.
"Fucker was hiding his strength this entire time! " Screamed Crossbow user before he felt pain on his neck, and suddenly, he was falling to ground and he was facing his own body, headless body. This was last thing he seen before darkness overtook his vision for good.
And last two remaining members were another dagger wielder, with short black hair. He truly looks like that one random guy from street you'll see every time.
It all happened so fast, now only Hwang Dongsuk is the only one alive.
"You bastard!" Hwang Dongsuk roared before attempting to cut Sung Jin-Woo beside him who killed his last remaining party member, but just when sword was about to touch Sung Jin-Woo's helmet, it was stopped.
By Sung Jin-Woo's armored hand before it clenched that same sword, shattering it into pieces. Hwang Dongsuk reared back in surprise, shock and fear, constantly muttering one word.
"Impossible! Impossible! You Need to be A-Rank to destroy this weapon!" He declared before the hand that was holding his shield got chopped off from elbow.
~Thud!
Part of the arm and shield fell on the floor as Hwang Dongsuk clutched hi arm in pain as he screamed.
But his rant was interrupted once more, by armored leg kicking abdomen, sending him flying meters away.
This was just a very 'light' kick from Sung Jin-Woo.
Hwang Got up from the floor, truly. He was truly a tanker.
"Wait! Spare me, I'll give you everything I have!" He pleaded with all he can as he prostrated himself in front of Sung Jin-Woo.
"Did you also give same treatment to others who pleaded for your mercy? Dozens of others you have killed?" Questioned Sung Jin-Woo before raising his sword above his helmet.
"You! You can't kill me! My brother is an S-Rank Hunter, Hwang Dongsoo ! He will kill you!" Roared Hwang Dongsuk as he tried to grip on his last chance for life, his younger brothers authority.
"Do you think I give a f#ck?"
Hwang Dongsuk's world froze.
"Your family! He will everyone you know in revenge!"
Sung Jin-Woo snorted.
"Your brother will die by hands too then."
Sword fell.
World is silenced.
