Dutch only felt that his knee didn't feel like it had hit the other party's palm, but more like it had hit a wall. He was instantly a bit shocked.
However, as a battle-hardened veteran, Dutch reacted very decisively. He immediately let go and retreated backward, backing up until he was next to Revy.
"What's wrong?" Revy glanced at him.
"He's very strong." Dutch said with a serious tone, "I'm not his match."
"I see." Revy put her pistol back into its holster and walked toward Aiden.
"Hey, what's your name?" Revy asked as she came in front of Aiden.
"Aiden."
"Chinese?" Revy was very surprised. She had thought Aiden was Japanese, after all, he stepped in just for a Japanese person.
"From Z country." Aiden patted his chest. "Pure."
Hearing this, Revy's cold expression suddenly softened quite a bit. She was also from Z country, but was born and raised in M country. Although the environment had changed her personality, she still had some curiosity and longing for her ancestral homeland.
"Looks like the homeland I've never met has decent moral education, to be able to raise a kind person like you." Revy didn't rush to attack, and spoke like she was chatting.
"Yes, our country really values this… uh, moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education." Aiden, knowing Revy's background, continued, "If you get the chance, go take a look. It won't disappoint you."
"I will." Revy nodded, then continued, "But let's keep things clear. What the Black Lagoon Company wants, we've never failed to get. If possible, I hope you don't interfere."
"That's impossible." Aiden shook his head.
"Then you're saying there's nothing to talk about?" Revy cracked her knuckles and asked.
Aiden nodded, "Sorry, I usually don't quit halfway."
"Alright then, I hope you won't regret it." Revy narrowed her eyes slightly, and after speaking, suddenly threw a straight punch at Aiden's head.
Unlike Dutch, Revy's move wasn't just powerful. It was terrifyingly fast. In almost the blink of an eye, she was already in front of Aiden.
Aiden originally intended to block with his palm, but the moment his palm touched Revy's fist, he had a bad feeling in his heart.
The opponent's strength was too great, not much less than his own.
Knowing that he couldn't block this blow with just his palm, Aiden decisively retreated to create distance.
But Revy didn't let up when she had the upper hand. Seeing Aiden back away, she immediately followed up. Her fists swung continuously, fast and fierce, leaving Aiden only able to defend, unable to strike back.
Just like that, after retreating over a dozen steps, Aiden finally stopped. It wasn't because he wanted to fight back, it was because he had backed into the ship's cabin.
Seeing another heavy punch heading straight for him, he had no choice but to tilt his body to the side.
Bang!
Revy's fist struck the cabin wall, leaving a shallow dent in the steel-welded surface.
'No wonder she's known as an equal to Roberta. What an insane physical capability.'
Aiden was a little shocked, but not at all surprised, because he knew that the woman known as "the Hound," who stood on par with Revy, could bite through a machete with her teeth.
"Give up. I don't want to hurt you." Revy stepped back a few steps and said coldly.
"Our target is just the bag in that guy's hand. This has nothing to do with you."
This woman known for her explosive temper was now showing a surprisingly calm attitude. Dutch beside her widened his eyes, staring at Revy in disbelief, wondering if she had taken the wrong medicine before boarding the ship today.
"Of course I know this has nothing to do with me, but…" Aiden said, "Today, I suddenly just wanted to see what it's like to butt into someone else's business."
When standing up for Rokuro Okajima, he had heard the system's notification.
[Black Lagoon storyline has officially begun. This world is relatively complex. There are no mission requirements, Host may freely explore and experience.]
To have a proper reason to interfere, he had no choice but to act this way.
"Besides, I haven't used my full strength yet." He added.
"Alright then, let me see just how strong is your full power." Revy struck a pose and curled her finger at Aiden. "Don't disappoint me!"
"Of course not."
After Aiden finished speaking, he took a deep breath to adjust his slightly chaotic breathing, and then he moved.
Just like facing an Ivan-type tyrant in Resident Evil, this time, Aiden no longer held back. The moment he moved, his speed soared to the extreme. Before Revy could blink, Aiden was already in front of her.
'So fast!' That was Revy's first thought.
When Aiden threw a punch, the wind-breaking sound created her second thought, 'I can't match strength with him.'
As the thought arose, she also began retreating.
Seeing her retreat, Aiden also didn't relent. He kept attacking, and his moves were exactly the same as the ones Revy had used earlier.
In the blink of an eye, Revy also stepped back over a dozen times, but she was a competitive woman. She blocked every single one of Aiden's attacks.
The result of that was, after Aiden finished a full combo of punches, her arms showed slight trembling.
"How does it feel?" Aiden stopped and asked.
"Not bad." Revy's mouth was stubborn. While shaking her hands to ease the pain, she secretly reached for her lower back. In a swift motion, she drew a matte-finished M9 military knife and slashed at Aiden's face.
But what she didn't expect was that Aiden only twisted his wrist, and a strangely-shaped military spike appeared in his hand. It looked more like an iron rod but easily blocked her blade.
Clang!
Two of the world's most iconic military blades clashed with a crisp metallic sound.
After that, both of them kept swinging their knives. The clang clang clang of metal clashing echoed nonstop.
But to Aiden's surprise, Revy's knife skills were incredibly good. So much so, he couldn't gain any advantage in a short time.
Of course, this also had to do with the knives they were using.
Aiden's three-edged spike had no blade edge. Aside from stabbing, it could only be used like an iron club.
But Revy's M9 knife was a standard blade, possessing almost all the advantages of a knife. Its offensive options were far more versatile than the spike.
If Aiden weren't a man with greater physical strength than Revy, he probably would've lost already.
While the two of them were in an intense duel, Dutch, watching from the side, received a voice in his earpiece from Benny on the torpedo boat, "Dutch, hey hey, Dutch, have you guys not settled it yet?"
"What's up, Benny?" Dutch asked.
"The radar shows a patrol boat from a nearby country is heading our way. You'd better hurry up."
"Don't worry, Benny boy. I'm watching a great show here!" Dutch glanced at the fighting pair. Seeing they probably wouldn't have a winner anytime soon, he continued, "But you can go ahead and start the engine. Oh, and activate the torpedo. I think only that thing can stop this awesome fight."
"Really? Did you run into trouble?" Benny asked.
Dutch slowly walked toward Rokuro Okajima and nodded, "Yeah, ran into a tough guy. He can actually go toe-to-toe with Revy. If we don't deal with him, we probably can't leave."
"Then he must be one strong man." Benny said. "Alright, Dutch. I've activated the torpedo. What do you want to do?"
"Wait for my order." Dutch released the transmitter, then pulled out his pistol and aimed at Rokuro Okajima.
"Hey, kid! Look over here!" he shouted toward Aiden.
Hearing Dutch's shout, Aiden glanced that way, stopped his attack, and took a step back, saying with irritation, "Your buddy doesn't play fair!"
"Dutch, what's going on?"
Revy looked toward Dutch, frowning as well, but she knew Dutch's personality. If he did this, something must've happened.
"Sorry to interrupt your fun, but we're out of time. A patrol boat is heading toward us."
Revy nodded, turned to Aiden and said, "You see it too, he has his reasons. And you… you should know what to do, right?"
"I know. But I don't plan on doing that." Aiden touched his nose and said, "I could totally stall until the patrol boat arrives."
"Yes, you could. But then he'll suffer. Also, you better look here." Dutch pointed his gun at Rokuro Okajima, then pointed at the ship below, where their torpedo boat was docked.
"I could sink your ship before the patrol boat arrives."
Aiden looked over and saw that the torpedo launcher on the boat had already opened its hatch. He could only raise his hands, "Alright, I surrender. You can take him."
"Aiden, how could you?" Rokuro Okajima said miserably. "You said you'd help till the end!"
"Can't help it, Rokuro. They have torpedoes. You don't want the entire crew to become shark food just because of you, right?" Aiden patted his shoulder. "You have to make a sacrifice."
Rokuro Okajima, ultimately still a good person, thought hard and reluctantly nodded, "Alright, I'll go with them."
"That's more like it. You just saved everyone on this ship." Aiden said. "You're a hero."
"But I don't want to be a hero." Rokuro Okajima said with a miserable face.
Aiden smiled, patted his shoulder, then just like the others on board, raised both hands and leaned against the wall.
He planned to head to Roanapur after the Black Lagoon people left.
But unexpectedly, just as Dutch was escorting Rokuro Okajima down to the torpedo boat, Revy suddenly pointed a gun at Aiden and said, "You too. Get down."
"Why?"
"Why?"
Two voices sounded at the same time, one of them was spoken by Dutch.
"No reason." Revy said coldly, she took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed Aiden, then made a gesture of "please", and then said, "Come with us, my... compatriot."
