Chapter 27 - Chapter 26

"Come."

As soon as El entered the dining room, Queen Iduna quickly called him over. Elsa sat obediently to the side, looking lost in thought.

"Mm!"

He responded and sat down opposite Elsa.

Then, Elsa quickly looked down at her plate, too shy to look at him. She still seemed worried about what happened last night.

As for Anna… she still hadn't woken up yet.

Then, they began their meal. No one spoke during the meal, and they simply enjoyed the quiet of the morning.

"El, don't leave just yet. I have something to say."

As soon as he finished eating and was about to check on Anna and think about the quest, King Agnarr stopped him.

"Oh!"

Since his father said so, El had no choice but to stay.

Queen Iduna also looked at King Agnarr, unsure what he wanted to discuss.

"How is your progress with magic training?"

King Agnarr had also finished his breakfast, wiping his mouth with a white cloth, and looked at him.

"It's just good, not as skilled as my swordsmanship yet."

He answered while secretly wondering about the reason behind his father's sudden question.

He also remembered the basic magic he received last night. He almost forgot about it and couldn't just specialize in one type of magic.

'Hmm… looks like it's time for me to start training in other types of magic too.'

After what happened last night, El realized even more that real strength comes from being truly powerful. If he wanted to become strong, relying on just swordsmanship or one type of magic would never be enough.

Moreover, he had the system, and he definitely used it well.

"Haha! You can't think like that.

King Agnarr laughed heartily, "You've been practicing swordsmanship since you were little! But magic? You just started. You can't compare them yet."

"Yes, I understand. I'll make sure to train hard. Can I go rest now?"

He asked after seeing that King Agnarr seemed to have nothing else to say.

"By the way, I've had some books on swordsmanship placed at the training grounds. They contain guidance and insights on swordsmanship training. There are also some sword techniques, some of which have been lost over time and are only recorded by the royal family. The books also include articles by many great knights. These will be useful for your learning. You must train diligently. I have nothing left to teach you."

King Agnarr said to him earnestly. He was a bit worried that his son might focus on magic and neglect his swordsmanship.

After all, the knights of the past were incredibly powerful figures—far beyond what any magician could compare to.

"Yes, I understand. Don't worry, Father!"

He smiled at the thought of something serious going on.

He certainly knew the benefits of swordsmanship. After all, if he hadn't trained his body and practiced swordsmanship since childhood, El would have nearly passed out when his magic ran out last night.

There's no way he could've kept moving around like nothing happened last night.

"Good, I'm glad to hear that."

King Agnarr replied with a gentle smile.

"How are you feeling after last night? I was so caught up with other matters that I didn't check on you then, but it's not too late to ask now, right?"

King Agnarr smiled kindly at him as he asked about his condition.

Hearing King Agnarr mention last night, Elsa, who had been quietly eating with her head down, couldn't help but lift her gaze with her eyes filled with worry.

To be honest, Elsa still didn't know how to face him. Even though she had fainted yesterday, she still remembered what happened in the last moments.

She didn't know the exact outcome, but she knew El and Anna were both okay, and it couldn't have been that simple.

However, she also knew the truth wouldn't stay hidden for long.

As soon as Elsa stepped out of her room, she heard people talking and spreading rumors. Then she immediately went to ask her mother.

Although Queen Iduna didn't say anything, Elsa knew it couldn't be as simple as her mother had made it sound.

It sounded like everything was okay, but it definitely wasn't that simple.

So when she heard her father ask El about last night, she instantly realized that her mother had been lying to her, trying to keep her from feeling guilty.

"Ahem..."

Queen Iduna, as a mother who had been closely watching Elsa's situation, immediately noticed the sudden change in her emotions.

She let out an annoyed sound and shot a glare at King Agnarr.

"Hmm?"

King Agnarr, who had been about to ask more questions, was interrupted and wasn't sure how to respond.

Following Queen Iduna's gaze, King Agnarr saw Elsa, who looked somewhat guilty. He immediately realized that he had said the wrong thing.

"Elijah!"

King Agnarr quickly turned to call out to El, trying to change the subject.

"What's wrong, Father?"

He responded, but his gaze remained fixed on Elsa.

He understood what was going on. After all, Elsa didn't know what really happened last night and probably blamed everything on herself.

It seemed he needed to find a way to make Elsa stop feeling guilty.

"Come with me."

King Agnarr said.

"Okay!"

El replied.

Then, the two of them left the dining room, one after the other.

"Mom, I..."

Elsa started to speak.

"It's okay. Just listen to me."

Queen Iduna interrupted gently.

As Elijah and King Agnarr left, Elsa couldn't hold back any longer. She needed to know what exactly happened last night.

...

In the corridor...

"It should be fine now, right?"

King Agnarr asked.

"It's all good now; it was almost fine this morning."

El replied, feeling warmth in his heart at his father's concern.

"By the way, I heard from Karon that you sent those people away this morning and handled things yourself?"

Suddenly, King Agnarr stopped and turned to him, asking.

"Yes, Father. It was caused by Elsa's magic, and ordinary people wouldn't have been able to handle it."

He answered, already having prepared his response to his father's question.

"Mm, then it's fine, I suppose."

As they continued talking, the two of them walked farther away.

Inside the dining room, Elsa finally learned what had happened last night.
