Blakes pov.
What the fuck is going on with Henry it's like the lights are on but no one is home. I have never seen him like that the look in his eyes freaking me out. I better take over for him I think he's had a cute overload from her. But thanks to his vampire side he can't blush so he just looks creepy as fuck. Who would have thought a three century old vampire would be beaten by a 24 year old girl
" hahaha omg this is priceless just wait until I tell Dan" I laugh out loud so hard my stomach hurts.
" tell him what" Jax asks coming in I just point to the kitchen unable to stop laughing so hard tears well in my eyes.
He goes in two minutes later he walks out pale faced I laugh even harder falling to my knees.
" what is that. Like what did she do to him. Like how did that happen." he fires out panicking.
" she call him 'her man' so I'm guessing that's what he is like when her cuteness is to much for him to handle" I laugh out.
" what" he asks confused
" Dan once told me that Henry has a weakness for cute things I think we're witnessing the affects of said weakness" I tell him trying to fix my face and not laugh again.
" oh so basically his brain stops working and he turns into a robot" he muses then bursts into laughing fits making me laugh again.
It took another 10 minutes to pull myself together.
" should we check in on him it's nearly dinner time and someone needs to snap him out of it. He will just creep her out acting like that." he asks me.
" yeah sure set your self away. I don't think I would be able to hold a straight face." I tell him walking away.
Why would I help him out he already has a very close in with her. This is my chance to get closer to her. I make my way through the house checking out the windows and doors. I check the library her scent is a few hours old so I follow it to the art studio damn it we're not allowed in there and we're not allowed to disturb her under any circumstances.
" Damn it"
I better tell him to keep dinner to the side as I don't think even he can go in there. I head back to the kitchen to find he's back to normal thankfully.
" hey you know she's in the studio right the one room we're not allowed to enter or disturb when she is in there. How are you going to be able to feed her or get her to take her medication." I ask him taking a seat at the bar.
" shit I forgot about that I was supposed to ask her before but..... I guess I will just have to wait for her in the hallway she may need help once she's finished. " he tells me as he plates up our dinner. Jax takes his and passes me mine Henry takes a seat with his.
" why are you eating anyway " Jax asks him.
" I guess it's habit of being here but she was very excited to try my lasagne I think it's one of her favourites by the way she had stars in her eyes when I agreed to make it" he tells us.
Well stay silent and enjoy the meal she chose to share with us even if she's not here it feels like she is. This is delicious I can certainly see why she likes it, comforting in a way. Once we finish our meal we wait in silence waiting for her. It's like even the house is holding it's breath waiting for her.
" it's been two hours past dinner time are you sure we shouldn't get her" Jax asks.
" I'm going to wait by the door for her with her medication so she can take it the moment she's done" Henry says as he gets up.
" I think I'll wait with you keep you company and all that" Jax says getting up. I don't speak but follow.
We wait by the door listening to the brush stroking the canvas her calm breaths. She doesn't stop she's been in there since lunchtime it's now 11pm and not a single pause since we came here at 7. I can't even pace the floor scared incase I miss a noise but the strokes are soothing in there own way. They suddenly stop I freeze as panic fills me is she okay.
" you may enter" a female voice sounds but it doesn't sound like hers we quickly enter but stop dead in our tracks.
It's her but not her. Her hair is flowing the there is a breeze but there isn't. Her eyes glowing brightly she's standing straighter than her normal self like there is no pain. She even smells different like I'm walking through a meadow in spring.
" who are you" Henry asks
" I am her mother" she answered with a smile. " I can't be with my daughter any other way this is our time together painting she keeps the originals and paints a similar one to sell. I am not happy about what my daughter has survived there is something you need to know about the accident"
" and who are you and what do you know" I ask her stepping forward.
" you know me well Blake you asked me for strength before every battle and I know everything past and future but can only share some. First it wasn't an accident that bastared has been torturing my daughter for years he set her up. She should come into her power on her 25th birthday she needs to be healthy before then or she may not survive if she does get power. "
" what is she and why do we have these feelings for her is it some kind of spell " Henry asks getting angry
" oh boys have you not figured it out Dan knows what she is to him. But you still don't hehe bless you, she is your mate child and yes she feels the same as you do just not as strongly due to her pain and medication. Well I have to go she needs to eat and sleep she won't remember this like I said. Please take care of her I will be watching. " she says as she closes her eyes and starts to fall Henry scoops her up in the blink of an eye.
She was Selene the moon goddess she is the only goddess I pray to for strength and if she is her daughter does that mean she is going to become a goddess or something like that uhh my head hurts just thinking about it.
" I'm taking her to her room will one of you bring the tray with us and the other go heat up her dinner" he says walking out I follow him picking up the tray.
