I stared disbelievingly at Nicole, wondering if I heard her right or if she was serious about what she had said. Day after day, the police had picked up the search from where they left off, in search of Nicole's abductors but there was nothing in both cars to link whoever was behind the kidnap.
Nicole also would have been in a better position to explain some things to the police but I had told them to leave her out of it. She had been so happy recently that I feared that bringing up her ugly experience with her abductors may soil her mood.
"Where can we find him?" I asked, reaching for my phone in my pants pocket.
"He's currently a guest at stardom's hotel. Suite 105" Nicole replied, and I immediately wondered how she knew that. She seemed to read my mind because she continued before I asked.
