The tub water still felt warm against his skin, subtly perfumed with rosewood and citrus oils. Steam wreathed slowly in the air, misting the brass-edged mirror over the vanity. Out in the bath chamber's frosted windows, birds sang like they were dancing to celebrate the storm's passing. Inside the foggy hush of the room, though, Leon lay alone, arms along the porcelain edge, mind whirling like the water around him.
"System," he thought to himself.

A gentle ring resonated within his mind. Suddenly, a pale blue screen hovered into being before his vision, glowing gently like the light of the moon on calm water. The interface answered with elegant ease, its letters sharp and clean.
"Open quest completion panel."

A second panel covered the first. As the text manifested, Leon's brows arched infinitesimally.
