Arriving at his company HQ Michael arrived at the conference room where the company meeting was taking place.
Taking his seat at the head of the table he focused half his attention on what his employees were saying while he focused the other half on coming up with various projects he had for the immediate and long-term future.
Until eventually it became Michael turn to speak.
"Okay, so from what I'm hearing our numbers are good all across the board. Our investors are content are profit margins show no decrease and all current projects are on track. Unless I missed anything?"
"No sir." The head of Michael aerospace division replied.
"Excellent. So with that I adjourn this meeting." Michael spoke.
Once he did his employees left the conference room and he returned to his own office.
Immediately after he did so ADAM appeared on his computer screen. "Michael I have come to inform you that one of the individuals you have had me keeping tabs on has changed their movements. The subjects name, Anna Marie Carlyle." ADAM explained.
His words earning Michael full attention.
Since ADAM was talking about Rogue.
One of the most powerful Mutants in Marvel, and one of the most powerful superhumans on Earth, in his opinion.
Along with being one of his top five Marvel Comic book crushes.
The other four being Ororo Munroe, MCU Hela, Selena Gallio, and finally Madeline Pryor the Goblin Queen.
Michael knowing the golden rule of course that your not supposed to stick it in crazy, given that half his Marvel crushes are slightly crazy.
But he doesn't care.
In fact their craziness makes them hotter in his eyes.
But back to the matter at hand.
Rogue was powerful and that is one of the reasons Michael wanted to recruit her to his side and not let her get caught up in the martial dispute between Xavier and his husband Magneto.
"I see." Michael replied. "And what changes are you speaking of?" He asked ADAM. Though he had a feeling he already knew.
"It seems she manifested powers and put her boyfriend in the hospital. After which she fled from home. Currently her route is taking her north towards Canada. And before you ask I have already plotted an intercept course for you."
"As always your the best ADAM." Michael replied.
"You praise me too much, but if you feel you must then continue doing so." ADAM cheekily replied.
Deciding not to respond Michael instead focused on getting to Rogue before anyone else did.
So with that he took the elevator down to his base/lab and quickly prepared.

At the same time Michael was making his preparations across the country in Upstate New York someone else was doing the exact same thing.
In a wheelchair inside of a sphere-shaped room with a helmet on his head, wires leading from it to the computer in front of him, was Professor Charles Xavier.
An expert on genetic mutation and mutants, and a mutant himself. Specifically a telepath, and one of the most powerful on the planet.
He was also the founder of a school for Mutants known as the Xavier Institute, as well as the founder of the mutant superhero team known as the X-Men.

As for the helmet he is currently wearing it is a device known as Cerebro.
Which not only amplifies Charles' already powerful telepathic abilities but also allows him to locate and connect with Mutants the world over.
And right now he was zeroing in on Rogue.
Once he did so he removed Cerebro and wheeled himself out of its chamber.
He then headed for one of conference rooms in the X-Men facilities under his school.
Arriving he found a few people sitting around the table waiting for him.
His old friend, and genius in his own right Hank McCoy, who goes by the codename Beast.

A female mutant of African descent with white hair and the ability to control the weather, Ororo Munroe. Who goes by the codename Storm.

Finally there was the newest addition to the X-Men a man who simply went by Logan, whose codename was Wolverine.

"I assume you have determined the location of the young lady you have been tracking recently?" Hank asked his old friend.
Charles nodding in response.
For ever since Rogue had awakened her mutant powers and fled her home in Mississippi Charles had been using Cerebro to track her.
Given what he heard from his contacts about how her powers had awakened, and what he'd sensed of her emotional state using Cerebro.
It told Charles Rogue was inadvertently a danger to herself and others. Meaning she needed help immediately.
"Based on what I've gotten from Cerebro she is slowly moving northward towards the Canadian border." Charles explained. "I've already plotted an intercept course."
"Well then let's stop wasting time talking Chuck and get moving." Logan said.
Wirh that the X-Men began to move.

At the same time this was taking place Rogue was moving alone.
Having no idea she was being watched from afar by men dressed in tactical gear using high resolution binoculars.
"Colonel Stryker we have eyes on the target." One of the men spoke into a radio.
"Good. Now just like always men isolate and then contain." A voice replied over the radio.
Belonging to none other than William Stryker.

A former now rogue United States army colonel who had a grudge against all mutant-kind.
"Yes sir." The man holding the radio replied. "Alright men, let's get ready to move out and round up that mutie."
"Sir!" The soldiers replied in unison.
They then all piled into their vehicles and started moving.

While all this was happening Micheal finished his preparations and then began his own operation to retrieve Rogue.
Having no idea the shit storm he was about to walk into.

A/N: Yep, the X-Men, and William Stryker operation are both after Rogue along with Michael. Turning his first attempt to obtain an ally into a shit sandwich.
Also yes Storm is with the X-Men but whether it will remain that way in the future remains to be seen.
