Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The End...

Frank D'Amico, the master of this building, sat at his desk with a pistol gripped tightly in his hand, his eyes fixed on the door...

Every sound from outside made the drug lord tense up.

He had stationed at least twenty gunmen outside, all armed with Remington shotguns. If that bastard dared show up, the overwhelming firepower would tear him to pieces.

The West Coast drug lord kept reassuring himself. Even if the intruder was a battle-hardened mercenary, against such numbers and firepower, he could only meet a tragic end...

"Rom, what's the situation outside?" Frank asked, his voice slightly hoarse.

If the intruder really broke through the defenses outside, he had prepared a special "gift" waiting.

"It's chaos. There seems to be more than one intruder. Someone just cut the power to the whole building... but the top floor has a separate power supply, so we're fine." The burly man guarding the door answered.

He was Frank's carefully trained enforcer, a former underground boxing champion with ten consecutive wins, one of Frank's trump cards.

"An accomplice? Just wait until I find out who this bastard really is. I'll make sure he learns what it means to lose everything!" Frank's eyes gleamed with malice, his face twisted into a terrifying scowl.

As a crime lord who had dominated the West Coast for years, this was the first time he had ever been pushed to such a desperate situation.

*BANG! BANG! BANG!*

Gunfire suddenly erupted outside.

Frank instinctively raised his pistol, aiming nervously at the door. He hadn't expected the intruder to break through so quickly... There were nearly fifty armed men downstairs, and none of them could stop the assault?

...

Screams and gunfire blended together in the confined space, bullets flying in a deadly web.

Damon, the former cop hiding behind a pillar, hadn't expected Frank D'Amico to have such heavy firepower. The devastating shotgun blasts roared like thunder, deafening and relentless.

Damon ducked behind the pillar as shotgun pellets tore chunks out of the wood. The gunmen closed in, forming a tightening circle.

If he so much as peeked out, he'd be turned into mincemeat.

Meanwhile, the small figure of Mindy hid atop the elevator...

Damon signaled to his daughter with tactical hand gestures before suddenly bursting out, dual pistols blazing, instantly dropping two men.

At the same time, a small purple figure leaped down from the elevator, throwing daggers that struck the gunmen's wrists with pinpoint accuracy.

The innocent-looking little girl transformed into a lethal killing machine in an instant!

Daggers flew from her belt, butterfly knives flashing in cold arcs. The top floor became a blood-soaked battlefield as the pint-sized assassin and her gun-wielding father tore through their enemies.

...

The fierce battle had lasted nearly ten minutes. As the gunfire outside grew sporadic, Frank grew uneasy.

"Rom, go check the situation." he said.

The hulking enforcer opened the door, only for a purple-haired little girl to pounce at him.

Rom, a veteran of underground fighting rings, didn't panic. With a single brutal punch, he sent the small figure flying.

"FRANK D'AMICO!!" Damon's fury burned at the sight of his nemesis.

If not for the massive Rom blocking the way, he would have charged forward to make the criminal taste pain and suffering firsthand.

"I thought the intruder was a young man?" Frank was baffled by the sight of the two figures... one adult, one child.

"Rom, kill them!"

"On it, boss!"

Rom cracked his neck and advanced toward Damon, only for the little girl to intercept him again, butterfly knives flashing.

Though lacking raw strength, Mindy's agility and reflexes were superhuman after years of brutal training.

Seeing his daughter temporarily holding off the giant, Damon stormed into the room, using his tactical knife to knock the pistol from Frank's hand.

After years of waiting, the former cop finally had his chance at revenge, "Frank D'Amico, I'm sending you to hell!"

"So you're the one who's been sabotaging my operations, sending my men to the cops?" Frank feigned calm, his injured hand subtly moving beneath the desk.

"Of course. Shooting you would be too easy. I wanted to destroy everything you built just like you destroyed my life and family!" Damon's eyes burned with hatred.

Once a cop, Frank had turned him into a criminal. His wife had taken her own life... his family, ruined.

"Oh, I remember now. You're that cop I sent to prison." Frank finally recognized him.

Years ago, a detective had been getting too close to his operations, so he had bribed internal affairs to frame the man.

"Look, we can talk this out. That was all in the past–"

"There's nothing to discuss, Frank D'Amico. This ends now!" Damon lunged forward, ready to kill.

"Yeah. It ends now." Frank kicked the heavy desk forward.

Damon dodged the flying mass only to find himself staring down the barrel of a hidden gun...

.....

*Ding*

The elevator finally reached the top floor.

Sean's eyes widened at the scene: corpses littering the ground, spent bullet casings, and a giant brawling with a little girl...

What the hell was going on? Were there others gunning for Frank D'Amico too?

'The West Coast drug lord sure has a lot of enemies...' Sean hesitated, unsure how to follow-up, when a deafening...

*BOOM*

...explosion shook the entire floor.

The explosion shattered windows, toppled bookshelves, and sent debris flying.

Sean stared in shock as Frank D'Amico stood there, clutching a smoking rocket launcher, the former cop lying half-dead on the ground.

'Did I just derail some timeline?'

After a brief pause, Sean raised his pistol and fired, hitting Frank's arms and legs.

A rocket launcher? That was just excessive.

Then, out of humanitarian spirit (and because the little girl was adorable), he put a bullet in the giant's head too...

Casually walking up to Frank, Sean removed his motorcycle helmet, revealing his youthful face.

"Mr. Frank D'Amico. I did say I'd pay you a visit." he said.

The drug lord's eyes bulged... 'The actual intruder really was just some kid?!'

"Who... are you?" Frank gritted through the pain.

"Given how complicated our grudge is, let's skip the explanations. Just blame that idiot who thought shaking down high schoolers was a good recruitment strategy. Even gangs should have standards..." Sean pressed the gun to Frank's forehead, his tone almost friendly.

"Goodbye." He pulled the trigger...

Ignoring the fading light in Frank's eyes, Sean turned to the sobbing little girl clutching the wounded man.

He suddenly had a headache, 'Do I leave them?'

With police sirens wailing below, the young man sighed and approached the purple-haired girl.

"Uh... wanna escape together?"
