"My King, I am here."
A spiritual voice called out again.
It was excited, yet filled with tension.
The voice sounded ancient, like a flickering candle that could be snuffed out at any moment.
Passing through a few enormous trees...
Soon, a ten-meter-tall patch of sparkling Blue Silver Grass appeared before his eyes.
This Blue Silver Grass was huge.
Tang San was stunned for a few seconds. Each vine was as thick as a waist, swaying joyfully with his arrival.
A powerful aura radiated from it.
"Was it you calling me?"
Tang San looked at the vine and asked curiously.
"Yes, great King. I can feel the royal blood flowing through your body."
A kind-looking old face formed in the center of the vine.
"Who are you?" Tang San frowned and asked.
"Your blood is nobler than mine. Therefore, you are my King! I am your subject," the vine said.
"Oh." Tang San nodded.
"To reach the level of your bloodline, I still need to cultivate for another fifteen thousand years. Meeting you has shown me the path to a higher noble bloodline," said the Blue Silver King.
"You must be mistaken. I'm human, and my martial spirit isn't Blue Silver Grass — it's Blue Silver Chicken!"
With a thought, Tang San summoned his martial spirit.
"No... You possess the bloodline of the Blue Silver Royal Family. No matter what your martial spirit looks like, you are still my King."
The Blue Silver King was resolute.
"Even if your Blue Silver Chicken looks like a weakling... it still holds the purest Blue Silver Royal bloodline! It's not about the appearance of your spirit — it's your bloodline that connects us. Feel it with your heart. Your people are calling out to you. Can you hear them?" the Blue Silver King said softly.
"Could it be that my mother was a hundred-thousand-year-old Blue Silver Empress?" Tang San could only think so. Otherwise, how could the Blue Silver King say such things?
"Your bloodline hasn't truly awakened yet. Come to me — let me help you awaken it."
The Blue Silver King whispered.
"Awaken?" Tang San frowned.
"Would you allow ordinary Blue Silver Grass to awaken the noble bloodline within you? Would you be willing to forever protect your people?"
"I'm willing!" Tang San nodded.
"It's been nearly twenty years since we last felt His Majesty's presence... and now, we can finally feel the aura of His Majesty's child," said the Blue Silver King.
As his words fell, the entire forest shimmered with a bluish-green glow, surging toward Tang San like a vast blue ocean.
Tang San felt himself becoming the center of that ocean, devouring the energy madly.
His soul rings appeared one by one — yellow, purple, purple, white.
The four soul rings spun, absorbing the blue light. Even his Blue Silver Chicken transformed, golden patterns spreading across it.
The aura on Tang San also changed. His yellow hair gradually turned dark blue, his attributes increasing as the blue glow faded.
His four soul rings returned to his body.
The blue glow condensed into a ring of light on his body, layered continuously until it turned black. Everything around him shimmered.
"Thank you!" Tang San said excitedly.
"We should be the ones thanking you. Your current soul ring should be 25,000 years, originating from yourself."
Tang San accepted this fact.
In his hand, the Blue Silver Chicken appeared crystal-like, the golden veins looking a bit strange.
"Then I'll call you the Blue Silver Chicken Emperor!"
Tang San thought that sounded decent.
Then he bid farewell to the 85,000-year-old Blue Silver King.
"Ding, storyline alteration task triggered."
[Tang San thought to himself: My fifth soul skill is called Blue Silver Overlord Spear.]
Modifiable: Five characters.
Zhang Fan smirked mischievously and immediately changed the character for "spear" (枪) to "ball" (球).
"Ding, storyline modified successfully. Slight plot chaos detected. Reward: 40 modification points."
Tang San thought to himself: My fifth soul skill is called Blue Silver Overlord Ball.
"Huh..." He froze. Something felt off. He thought he meant to say spear... Why did it suddenly turn into ball?
In the next instant, his Blue Silver Domain unfolded. Soul power gathered into a blue-and-silver ball that spun in his hand.
"Whoosh..." He hurled it suddenly.
"Boom..." The Blue Silver Overlord Ball smashed into a nearby tree and exploded. The tree was blown apart.
"Damn... the power's not bad at all!" Tang San was shocked.
Zhang Fan hadn't intended to weaken Tang San's fifth soul skill. After all, Tang San was already too weak for him — weakening him more would be boring.
As long as it made him funnier, that was good enough.
Tang San returned to his father.
Tang Hao was dumbfounded upon seeing him.
"Ah Yin..." Tang Hao called softly.
"Ding, storyline alteration task triggered."
[Tang Hao, upon seeing Tang San, felt like he was seeing Ah Yin and suddenly stepped forward, pulling him into a warm embrace.]
Modifiable: Five characters.
Zhang Fan paused, then grinned. He changed "pulling him into a warm embrace" to "kissed him instead."
"Ding, storyline modified successfully. Plot went a bit crazy. Reward: 30 modification points."
Tang Hao, upon seeing Tang San, suddenly stepped forward and kissed him instead.
Tang San froze. What the hell is wrong with Dad?!
Suddenly, Tang Hao puckered his lips and kissed him.
It scared Tang San half to death. He struggled like mad.
If he got kissed, it'd be a disaster.
But this crazy old man was actually hugging him super tightly.
Tang San was fuming.
He squatted down abruptly, barely dodging the incoming kiss.
Then, he unleashed Ghost Shadow Perplexing Step to dodge sideways.
But his dad chased right after him.
Still puckered up.
It almost made Tang San retch.
"Dad... what are you doing?!" Tang San was nearly in tears. Things were fine just a second ago, then his dad went crazy.
"Whoosh..." Tang San narrowly dodged another kiss.
Tang Hao ended up kissing a tree.
Tang San was terrified.
He thought his dad had snapped out of it — but no.
He wouldn't stop until he landed that kiss.
It was driving Tang San insane.
"Whoosh..." Suddenly, he activated his fifth soul skill:
"Blue Silver Overlord Ball!"
His domain spread, and soul power formed a golden-blue ball — about the size of a basketball — which he hurled at Tang Hao.
"Boom..." The ball nailed Tang Hao.
"Ahhh..." Tang Hao screamed, swallowed by the explosion.
A while later, he finally regained consciousness.
"Ugh... Xiao San, you used your new soul skill on your own dad!"
Tang Hao was bruised and swollen, clearly in pain — after all, he hadn't used soul power to defend.
Which explained his sorry state.
"Dad, you just went nuts and kept chasing me trying to kiss me!"
Tang San was speechless.
"How could that happen?" Tang Hao was dumbfounded. He had lost control? He shook his head helplessly.
Every time this craziness happened, he thought of Zhang Fan.
But they were so far away from Zhang Fan... it couldn't be his doing.
Could it be... a disease?
Would this disease haunt them for life?
The thought made Tang Hao a little depressed.
He looked at Tang San and shook his head helplessly.
