Seeing Vajra fight so carelessly shocked Shambhu. Vajra had showcased immense power during the fight.
"I knew there were powerful teenagers in this world, but such kind of power is just out of this world. I wonder who will win if we fight," Shambhu said.
"He will win. You have not learned to wield any weapon, and you're slightly weaker than him in physical strength," Raktaa immediately answered. "Just slightly weaker. That's better than I expected," Shambhu said.
Medics healed all the injured, and the announcer again called for the next candidates. This time, a girl and a boy were the major highlights of the fight.
In the third arena, a girl was fighting with beauty. The girl had clear blackish-brown skin without any blemishes. Her big black eyes and curly black hair were striking. She had a long, straight, triangle-shaped nose and big lips, which were red. She was wearing a dark black and red Gomesi. Her hands had visible muscles but were not bulky. Her name was Sandhya.
She was wielding a five-foot-long sword, which was just below her height (169cm). The fight happening in the arena between her and her opponent was like a masterpiece drawn by a master, artistically. She was maneuvering her sword in a very balanced way. Her opponent was another long sword wielder.
Their swords produced sparks when they hit each other. The opponent targeted her right leg, which she blocked using her own sword. And then she swung her sword towards his left abdomen. The opponent blocked her attack by placing his sword vertically in front of it. Then he deflected her sword upwards using his own and performed a spinning back kick towards her abdomen. She moved back and out of the range of the kick. The opponent tried to stab her, using the momentum, and made the mistake of over-extending his arms. In answer to his stab, she spun clockwise, dodging the long sword and hitting it with her own sword. The opponent was trying to rebalance himself and was not in full control. The attack on his sword made him lose his balance completely, and he dropped on one knee. Before he could get back up in the position to fight Sandhya, her sword was already on his neck. He had to surrender, as he was both tired and defeated.
Sandhya then engaged in her next fight. Her next opponent was wielding a spear. This fight was tougher than the last one for Sandhya, as the opponent had a longer reach, and he was stabbing the air non-stop. Sandhya was moving from side to side like she was side-skipping and dodging every attack, but she could not find a perfect opening for a counterattack. Shortly, she identified the pattern her opponent repeatedly used: one thrust to one side and then two to the other. She timed her counterattack perfectly. When the opponent attacked her left side, she dodged and moved far left and attacked his front arm.
The sword met its target, and the opponent now could not use his right hand because of a deep gash. He then started rod dancing (lathee dance) using his left hand and the spear. He was saving himself from getting attacked and was waiting for Sandhya to make the mistake of coming into his range. But Sandhya did not take any chances and maintained a safe distance from him but didn't let him stop or rest by poking her sword now and then. After some time, the opponent got extremely tired and surrendered.
While Sandhya was showcasing brilliant swordplay and strategy, in the 9th arena, a guy named Nikumbha was showing what extreme precision and speed could do if brought together.
Standing 179 cm tall, he had reddish-Indian skin, curly short brown hair, brown eyes, a big nose, big lips, and an extremely fit physique. He was wearing a red sleeveless waist-long kurta and loose cotton stretchable pants, which were not a hindrance to his movements. He was wielding a spear almost seven feet long.
He was fighting two opponents at a time. The opponents looked helpless as they were unable to break his defense and attack him. He moved fast and swiped the left opponent off his feet by using his spear. The right opponent came to his defense in time. Nikumbha was gripping the spear in the middle, using both the tip and blunt side to attack. He blocked the opponent coming to his right with the blade of the spear and then rotated the spear and hit him with the blunt side of the spear and, in the same rotation, brought the tip of the spear back towards the fallen opponent and stabbed his thigh. Blood gushed out like a fountain from the spear wound. He was now out of the fight.
The other opponent came back at the same time. Nikumbha grabbed his spear on the blunt end and attacked the incoming opponent on the legs with a big swing. The opponent jumped straight up to dodge. Nikumbha did not draw his spear back; rather, he dashed towards the opponent's left, gripping the spear from the same place. Before the opponent's foot landed on the ground, Nikumbha was already on his left. The opponent too tried to turn left while he was still in the air; however, the one-second delay in bringing his sword from right to left was critical. Nikumbha now pulled his spear with full power and let the blunt side hit his opponent squarely on the forehead. The opponent couldn't help but stagger backward, and before he regained balance, Nikumbha spun his spear and gashed his stomach vertically from up to down.
