Most black market merchants were like this tailor—shady and always looking to scam newcomers. As for the threats? Fighting wasn't allowed in the black market, so no matter how harsh the words, it wouldn't come to blows.
"Alright, alright, little brother, I was wrong. It's a long way to the black markets in other districts, isn't it?"
The tailor's attitude softened.
Li Cunxu only mentioned it but didn't actually make the switch.
Black market merchants are all the same; the next tailor shop owner might not be any better than this one.
