During dinner, Arata spoke to Ryuka.
"So, what do you think of the human city?" asked Arata.
"Hmm, not bad. It's very crowded here, and there are so many things I don't understand," replied Ryuka.
"Hmm, take it slow and learn about it step by step," said Arata.
"Alright, as long as I'm with you, I'll learn quickly," said Ryuka.
Some time later, they were ready to eat, and Yukari had finished preparing a room for Ryuka.
"Master, I have prepared a room for Miss Ryuka. It's right next to your room," said Yukari.
"Oh, thank you for your hard work," said Arata.
"This is just part of my job," said Yukari.
After saying that, Yukari immediately went to the kitchen to tidy up.
"So, are we going to sleep?" asked Arata.
"Fine, but if you sneak into my room at night, be prepared to become a roasted human," said Ryuka.
Upon hearing Ryuka's words, Arata shuddered.
"Relax, I would never dare do such a thing," said Arata.
"Hmph, that's good if you understand," said Ryuka.
The two of them then went to their respective rooms.
Ryuka, who had just entered her room, sat on her bed and thought about something.
"I'm living under the same roof as Arata. It feels like a dream," Ryuka murmured to herself.
Meanwhile, Arata was pondering something troubling about the villa.
"Hmm, today is strange. First, I was given the authority to form a team, then a villa, but why did the guild leader lie like that?" Arata thought to himself.
After ensuring that both Arata and Ryuka were asleep, Yukari took out a summoning crystal from her pocket.
When the crystal was activated, a man dressed in royal attire appeared, sitting on a throne.
"Yukari, right? How is my child doing?" said the figure.
The figure was Ryujin Katsuraga, Arata's father, whom Arata believed to be dead. He was also the king of the Kurohana Kingdom, the largest and strongest kingdom in all the realms.
"Report, Your Majesty, I have taken care of all the household arrangements for the young master," said Yukari.
"Good. Make sure he doesn't learn of his true identity before the time is right," said Ryujin.
"Understood," said Yukari.
"So, is that all your report, Yukari?" asked Ryujin.
"No, Your Majesty. I would like to report that he brought a woman with him," said Yukari.
"Hoo, so he has brought a woman. Tell me, how do you see her?" asked Ryujin.
"Report, from my observation, the woman does not pose a threat to the young master. In fact, she seems to care deeply for him, though the young master is unaware of her feelings," said Yukari.
Hearing Yukari's report about Ryuka, Ryujin laughed at his son's obliviousness.
"Hahaha, he's just like me when I didn't realize the feelings of women who liked me. So, what is her name?" asked Ryujin.
"Her name is Ryuka, Your Majesty," said Yukari.
"Hoo, a nice name. Now, keep an eye on them. If anyone threatens their lives, kill them without hesitation. And don't forget your mission to protect my son," said Ryujin.
"Understood, Your Majesty. As your loyal messenger, I will not disappoint you," said Yukari.
"Hahaha, good, good. That's what I expect from my messenger. Now, I'll await your next report," said Ryujin.
The crystal immediately deactivated after Ryujin finished speaking.
The next morning, Arata and Ryuka woke up at the same time.
"Hoahh, good morning, Ryuka. How did you sleep?" asked Arata.
"Hoahh, good morning as well. It was alright, though I can't remember the last time I slept so soundly," said Ryuka.
Suddenly, Yukari appeared in front of them, surprising both Arata and Ryuka.
"So, how did you sleep, young master?" asked Yukari.
(Surprised) "Yukari! How did you appear like that?" said Ryuka.
"That's true. Are you actually an assassin who can hide your presence like that?" asked Arata.
"No, young master, I'm just an ordinary maid. That's all," said Yukari.
"I know, but next time, don't scare us like that," said Arata.
"Understood, young master. Oh, and I've prepared a bath for both of you," said Yukari.
Upon hearing this, Ryuka blushed.
"A bath? Wait, don't tell me the bathroom is shared?" asked Ryuka.
"Of course, is there a problem?" asked Yukari.
Arata facepalmed at Yukari's innocence.
"Of course there's a problem, Yukari. We're just teammates, and how would you feel if you suddenly had to share a bath with a guy you just met?" said Arata.
"Right, don't you have any sense of modesty?" said Yukari.
"Hmm, let me think. What exactly is wrong with that?" Yukari said with her innocent tone.
"Astaga, you really don't know? Just prepare a separate bathroom for me, and leave the one you've prepared for Ryuka," said Arata.
"Alright, if that's the young master's command, I'll prepare the other bathroom," said Yukari.
Yukari quickly went to prepare the other bathroom for Arata.
"Sorry you had to see that this morning," said Arata.
"Hmph, never mind. I'll go shower now," said Ryuka.
Ryuka quickly went to the bathroom with an annoyed expression.
"Hmm, what exactly happened to her? Did I say something wrong?" Arata thought to himself.
Inside the bathroom, Ryuka seemed very upset because Arata only viewed her as a teammate.
"Hmm, how could he say that? I didn't expect more, but at least he should be aware of my feelings for him," Ryuka thought in her tsundere tone.
Shortly after Ryuka entered the bathroom, Yukari finished preparing the bathroom for Arata.
"I've prepared your bathroom, young master," said Yukari.
"Good, but remember next time to prepare two bathrooms," said Arata.
"Understood, I'll remember that," said Yukari.
"Good. Now you can prepare breakfast for us," said Arata.
"Yes, I will prepare it right away," said Yukari.
Yukari quickly went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, while Arata went to the bathroom to shower.
Not long after, they both finished showering and went to the kitchen for breakfast.
When they reached the dining table, Arata was shocked by how extravagant the meal was for just breakfast.
"Uh, Yukari, did you make a mistake with the food?" asked Arata.
"No, young master. This is the standard breakfast I know," said Yukari.
"Standard breakfast? This looks like a meal for nobles," said Arata.
"No, this is very standard, young master," said Yukari.
"Well, I can't win this debate with you," said Arata.
Arata grabbed one of the dishes, but as he was about to eat, he noticed Ryuka had been silent all this time.
"Uh, Ryuka, why have you been quiet? Is something wrong?" asked Arata.
"No, nothing's wrong. I'm just not in the mood to talk," said Ryuka.
"Why? You usually talk a lot. Why are you silent?" asked Arata.
"It's nothing, I'm just upset, that's all," said Ryuka.
What's really happening to Ryuka? Why is she so upset and not speaking much? Stay tuned for Chapter 8.
