Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Four years passed, Phalagneon had adopted parts of Lafgurans way of life since their alliance the empress received letters from Chrollo and the others through the systems put in place by the authorities of Lafguran.

"perhaps this alliance wasn't a bad idea and i was being paranoid" Shamane thought to herself.

It was the 18th day of the citra cycle of the imperial calendar, the last letter from Lafguran arrived after which no more came for several moons, trade had halted without warning there was no communication between the two nations any more the outside world was silent.

The empress sent out scouts to check on the faring of the outside but none returned, she decided to go and investigate herself.

She set off, with Shamane by her side, they made it out of the thick greens that borders phalagneon and lo, a world void of sounds of joy and excitement, a plane plague with an abundance of nothingness and the fear of death, they proceeded to Lafugran on foot, effect of the mystery which was the aura of silence that surrounded them.

They were a ways from Lafguran when they saw them, creatures void of nature, things rejected by creation whose existence an abomination in the eyes of the empress, to they she gave blame for the day thou art darken.

It only took a moment for their head to be made an offering to the empress for the sin which was their birth ,for in the presence of the Shamane, the tongue, the first of her name, the will of the world her law is absolute and her loyalty unshakable.

They arrived at the barred gates of Lafguran a city filled with beaming with freedom now imprisoned within it own walls but its all for not for there is no wall tall enough, thick enough or strong enough, her advance will not be hindered one moment they were outside the next they were in for even the laws of space and time crumble at the feet of the empress.

Once in they saw the northern sector of Lafguran, a wasteland a place that once housed hundreds of lively and innocent people now a cesspit of diseases and piles of corpses.
